Ha ha.

I grew up watching ALL horror movies, even the B stuff, there was once a time I nearly finish watching the entire "Horror" section at my local video rental place. Freddy, Jason, Myers, Chucky, NONE of them scared me. I figured as long as I don't go camping or live at "Elm Street", I'm fine. But I have to admit, the Ring and the Grudge are the 2 that actually scared me. To this day, every time I have to go up to the attic I still get an uneasy feeling. Good things my boys are older now, I send them up now. Ha ha!

The ring definitely leaves you more scared than your average slasher flick, I can see why it haunts you to this day.

The newly added figures to the collection look great. I was going to buy Dracula from the Universal Monsters series a few months ago, but I haven't had the opportunity yet. Meanwhile, Neca company will soon release a Universal Monsters Dracula figure. I looked at the photos, it looks very detailed.

Great figures. Congratulations.:)

Thanks, I hope you find the Dracula soon!

Impeccable taste as usual :)

I love the classic look of the Bride of Frankenstein in the first picture, but that head on the second one and no gown look, just killer. Great detail on the Lucy as well.

I keep eyeing that Siryn figure, love the character and was excited to see this figure released. Nice additions!

Thanks!, siryn is actually going on clearance at most targets so now is a great time to pick her up.

Appreciate the tip! $25 just felt a tad high for me, but a clearance purchase will be a must have, will definitely keep on the lookout.

I felt the same way, that’s why I waited until the price dropped to $15

Cyclopswc 09-26-2022 05:57 AM

That's a great Siryn pose! Does she need to scream in order to fly? It's been a while since I read anything with her in it.

https://www.toyark.com/forums/attach...7&d=1663981079

I also have the Lucy Westerna figure, I know NOTHING about her, but she just looked so cool I had to get her.

Thanks!, and I’m not going to lie I was really proud of that pose. And I’m not quite sure as I’ve never read anything with siryn in it, but after a quick image search I see tons of panels with her flying while not screaming.

As for Lucy, I’m pretty sure she was a character in multiple old Dracula movies although I’ve never seen them so I’m just going to have to trust Wikipedia. But I also got her just because she looks awesome.

So I’ve been online shopping recently and came across some pretty nice things :D

So by some miracle I came across this $600 dollar statue for only $200… needless to say I had to get her. I would normally complain about how sexualized this statue is but at this price point I really just can’t.

Look how she towers over everything else on the shelf!

I’m also wondering if this wooden shelf will break with two 40-some pound statues on it.

SpasticPlastic 09-29-2022 05:40 PM

Dude. That Poison Ivy statue is a steal for $200 bucks! Very nice.

Woah, some nice finds! As others have said, $200 for the Ivy statue is definitely an awesome find!

I just got my first ever Diamond select femme fatales statue and wow all I can say is that it’s wonder-ful (pun intended)

Diamond select femme fatales alice statue

I love it when companies put their own spin on classic fairy tales but the ladies always look like hardcore strippers. If you look at the Mezco scary tales ladies from behind you can see their skirts are sculpted up higher in the back to show their panties, and that’s with teenage characters like alice and red riding hood. Then we have mcfarlane going full on “fairy tale wet dreams” with their dominatrix Muffet and their sexual slave grettle, and we can’t forget the red riding hood they made that just had her sporting underwear and a cloak, and the most disgusting is the bondage fetish Dorothy that had a story written for her that says she’s fricking 18 and goes into detail about how all the sexual tension she has built up in her gets released once the wizard puts her in bondage gear.

So after that rant I’m happy to say Diamond selects femme fatale fairy tale statues are perfect, they aren’t too sexual and the characters are at least in their mid twenties.

I will say Alice is an unusual choice for a Femme Fatale. When I hear Alice and Femme Fatale in the same sentence I immediately think of the Alice that appears in Bryan Augustyn and Rick Berchett's Batman: The Mad Hatter who is an accomplice of the Mad Hatter as opposed to a woman the Mad Hatter stalks like most Alices in Batman lore. I wonder why Diamond Select chose that name for their statue line. That being said that Alice figure looks amazing, I truly think it was well made. Also, the Livewire and Superwoman figures are great too.

I didn’t know there was even a villainous alice besides the Batwoman villain of the same name.

It was part of a scholastic comic line about Batman for beginning comic readers. The Mad Hatter comic was the first Batman comic I read.

Congrats on the Alice, and thanks for the compliment on the new profile picture. I very much agree with you on the "mature content" fairy tale stuff being too over-the-top at times, glad you were able to find this one :)

Thanks, let’s hope someday mcfarlane will resurrect their old twisted fairy tale lines but with respectably dressed females.
