Primacon, are the eyes on the Liu Kang figure actually that uneven or is it just the picture?

They are the dead or alive chicks and they are 3.75. I forgot what toyline did them. I got em off ebay as a lot of 6. I'll try to take comparison pics when I get home. I was thinking of customizing them into mileena and kitana.
I haven't seen him at tru yet so I went ahead and got him from bbts. He's sitting in POL. These jazwares figures are not so good on their face molds besides scorpion and sub zero. Is the hair piece on liu kang separate? I'm thinking on taking the hair piece off and putting it on maybe quick kick.

Other then the lazy eye Liu Kang doesn't look that bad. Can you post more pics of him? Im using Quick Kick right now so it'd be good to finally get a real Kang. Wonder what Quick Kick's head would look like on Kang? hmmm

Yup, it's actually sculpted so that his left eye is wider open than the right, because of the flick of hair I guess. Still, it's not as offensive as Baraka.

All one sculpted piece I'm afraid.

For all the issues with these figures, I still really want a Sonia and Kano, and would happily buy a Jax, Kung Lao, and a female ninja 3 pack.

It looks awful like that, like some really bad lazy eye. Think it's possible to use an razor blade and fix the eye and repaint it? If anyone has Liu Kang, Quick Kick from GI Joe or maybe the Storm Shadow from the movie that is unmasked, could you put different heads on Lui?

I'd like to see some close shots of Kang to see how bad the eye is.

It's funny how you don't actually notice things in real life - I hadn't noticed the great dent in his nose! That funny bit above his eye which looks like I (badly) tried to photoshop it, I think is supposed to be part of the sculpted hair, but somehow has ended up with the wash used for the skin tone on it. If it was painted black it might look better.

I'm the other side of the pond so we don't get such things in the wild.

I bought him from BBTS, but Nightwolf came in a month or so earlier than Liu Kang and Johnny Cage, so I'd say they're in different cases.

And then I realized the MK action figures available out there don't resemble what I remember from the first games, specially the one from KINTARO. You will notice these figures from the NetherRealm Studio are worn out, yet they are awesome. I think the Kintaro AF available these days is very good too, but clearly it's not the same thing.

And what about Shinnok's amulet? I couldn't find a replica anywhere. No one have made one yet? This year MK Mythologies will be 20 years old.

I saw the same thing for Resident Evil. The Jill Valentine AFs out there don't look like the Jill I remember from the 1996 game, and the same can be said about other characters. I know it's really hard to create these toys. Still, it is a fact that many times what is offered is not the same thing at all.

i just ordered Mezco Kitana, Quan Chi, and ice clone Sub-Zero (all for good prices).
My articulated icons figures have given me a newfound affection towards those "smaller" 1:6 scale figures. (like the DC icons and these Mezco figs)
These MK from Mezco fit PERFECTLY with the AI figures.. and they "look Like' they could be from the same "universe" of figs. it's a good match.

I also now have my Noob Saibot from the Storm Collectibles line.

The Storm Collectibles stuff is amazing, but I really can't justify the cost. I'm (slowly) working on making custom 3.75" versions of the MKI/II cast at the moment. I think the main gap in the stuff Jazwares did was the female ninjas so I started there. Here's Jade:
