The new Ares figure is a re-release of the Wal-Mart exclusive BAF, with changes to the paint apps and some reworking of the lower legs from the knee down, using Odin's legs instead. He also comes with an additional weapon (the axe) which was an accessory included with a previously released Thor figure.

I'll ask again since it was missed, has anyone tried sticking the new MCU Thor's head onto the Amazon 4 pack Thor? Just curious if it will fit, as I don't care for the new MCU fig, but would like to get a helmeted portrait for the Amazon version...

yeah i'm slowly but surely trying to piece together all of the "worthwhile" comics that he's been in. I've got some from that 2000 run as well. (update i have 7-12 from 2004 because that is where Annihilation begins)

I found some old iron man Toybiz from the 90's and yes not as good as today, but those metallic vacuum are still so pretty to look at.

The Marbalized plastic is okay, but I hate when I see swirls in the plastic. Of course it isn't like the shinny metallic like the old school figs.

One of my favorite figures was the battle damed spiderman figure from the Tobey MaGuire Spiderman and the Spiderman classics version also. I want a dedicated battle damaged sculpt, but it seems the only dedicated sculpts will be for movie figures. I would love a true battle damaged Iron Man. The painted on just looks awful; the Civil War 3 pack was a waste to own.

I see the GOTG 2 wave clogging up shelves. That's a problem. For some reason Homexoming has not been in stores or rather readily available in them. Some stores never had them on shelves. I got relayed a story from an employee saying that they are backed up with Yellow Cats and Misty Knights. Nothing new until those are gone.

i totally understand. (rant time) for exmaple: here in miami, UPS always comes the last minute which is at 7pm. and the post office people are slow and think they are gods gift to us. the post offcie people also come late, they usually leave the mail on a bad day around 5pm and on a good day its around 3pm, SMH. Fed ex is alittle better, they come before 3pm usually. but last time they just left my figure at my door and didnt knock...

I feel that way sometimes. I just take a step back and go in another direction sometimes. For example the 6" figure line was ridiculous here too. Old stuff and new stuff, on brickseek, being sold before it was put in the store aisles. Likely because employees buy them and managers refusing to do anything SO I stopped buying into that line. I have started looking into their 12" line. It is easier to get, cheaper cuz they release slower.i am not chasing 6 or 7 figures at a time or fighting scalpers, employees, etc.

I was lucky enough to find both Ares and the Sandman wave Green Goblin this week, both at nearby Walgreen stores. So now I'm thinking about trying to put together the Dark Avengers. I have Sentry and black costume Spiderman and I was wondering if anyone has an Iron Patriot figure out and can give me there thoughts on him. Is he worth picking up and if the head detachable so the you could put Norman Osborn's head on it without to much work.

Iron Patriot is one of my favorite figures. He's nothing more than a Ironman clone, but the paint job is pretty nice.

Very much so, but since its the only comic iron patriot of ol normy thus far itll be passable until a newer version is made.

The new Ragnarok head is pretty much a perfect swap onto the AoU figure. I just did it.
