Hopefully when they roll out a new Storm figure it's her Giant Size #1 costume. The Jim Lee era Storm is a super easy pass

They should do a non exclusive boxset

VashTS 09-01-2017 04:59 AM

I would love a Jim Lee Storm but done right. The blue shading on the white is a must. An angry face is a must. Some accessories such as lightning effects is a must. We need all that and not the usual mediocrity such as the optic blast-less cyclops.

But this is Hasbro. I expect a cheap all white, stoic faced repaint with the bare minimum with nothing to distinguish it from a figure like Sharon Carter.

From the appearance of the backwards arms they don't quit have the kinks worked out anyway

Sasquatch looks so much better than Man-THing. THey are the same body I assuume?

I think it has to do with the paint and maybe because the ToyBiz one was better in most ways.

Sasquatch look pretty good. THat deadpool wave looks killer.

i wouldn't mind a grizzly figure. he would fit with both Spider-man rogue gallery and or with Ant-man considering he turned a new leaf in the last ant-man series.

Kinda thinking he might've meant Grizzly from Six Pack, not the bear-themed villain.

Yah six pack grizzly. ;)

Captain Nash 09-01-2017 08:24 AM

so I bought the digital Revenge Of The Green Goblin trade this week and was introduced to a new (to me) obscure (to me) Spider-Man villain I'd buy: The Squid! He looks kooky but fun.

Boy Blunder 09-01-2017 08:32 AM

The Squid! I love his design. So toyetic.

Man, why can't we get a set of the Spider-Man Revenge Squad/Legion of Losers with some extra obscure Spidey villains? Give me Spot, the Kangaroo, the Gibbon, and the Grizzly, with the Squid and White Rabbit.

I would buy that. It's funny outside of that Grizzly I actually know all the rest. I'm not a huge Spider-Man fan so I can't name off a ton of villains out of my head but if someone else mentions them I can at least put a picture to a name. I'd have to look up Grizzly but given I'd buy the rest I'm sure I'd buy him too. Squid though, he may actually have to go on my "short list"!

Actually just googled Grizzly. I might end up passing on him. LOL.

I'd buy the squid just cause of his name.

I can appreciate that, I dig the overwhelming majority of my TB figs - Walter, especially so. The old Sasquatch has a plethora of bells and whistles. The hands are really cool, despite lacking a fist; the high level of detail extends all the way down to the tips of the fingers and toes with each digit getting sculpted nails. The hair and texture of his coat, were also painstakingly designed. The only drawback being that the TB version makes for a very nice Sasquatch if he were just a sort of pedestrian 'Sasquatch.' Sasquatch is appropriately coined after his namesake, but make no mistake, he has the super-physique of a super heroic version of a 'Sasquatch.' The TB version is a little too lanky, this new one obviously improves on that and makes him as heavily built and burly as we are accustomed to seeing him. The ironic thing about your comment on the modern (Hasbro) vs old (Toy Biz) articulation is that I believe the old version may be more articulated (extra shoulder joints, double jointed knees/elbows, and finger articulation) than the new version.

Captain Nash 09-01-2017 11:25 AM

I meant to comment about Storm again. Ideally for me we get a Giant Sized X-Men set with FA/early Claremont Storm in it - well first costume, her FA is naked! - and the wave will have White outfit Jim Lee Storm. best of both worlds. I think it's fairly inarguable those two outfits make up the vast majority of versions of Storm we want, hard to say which is more. I think if we got them both we would mostly be set for Storm figures. For a time anyhow.

Harbinger 09-01-2017 11:37 AM

Id love to see a punker storm. As much as white storm would be cool id prefer it to be more silver since white plastic discolors bad!

Harbinger 09-01-2017 11:40 AM

Anyone who says we collectors n such are vicious when it comes trying to get our figs........ Not anymore.
This proves it.... ;)

No doubt that TB has more articulation, it's just that the basic articulation has improved so much since then.

Not to mention that the articulation is now integrated in a more aesthetically pleasing way. I'll accept a little poseability loss in exchange for a better looking toy, if the basics are still there.

Yeah but the thing with looking at 1 $20 figure vs. a BAF is the monetary aspect. It largely varies from person to person and their interest in the wave. I do think the Hasbro Sassy is superior but not superior enough to spend an extra $60-$100 on (as I only want two figures from the wave.) If it were a carded figure I'd have no hesitation to buy it, same as if i wanted all but one or two figures of the wave.

I kind of hit the same point with the Netflix wave, but as my Toybiz Man-Thing had broke on me, I kind of felt I needed to upgrade. Even if the upgrade was only slight.

Boy Blunder 09-01-2017 12:26 PM

I wouldn't be surprised if the parts pop up on the cheap online - Walt isn't exactly a known face to a lot of people, even if he's iconically Alpha Flight.

I'm now wondering though if we'll get some kind of white repaint down the line, from the whole Snowbird-Sasquatch era (and doubling as an Exiles Sasquatch). Hmmm...

Alternately, a retool into Wendigo would be pretty sweet.

A wendigo would almost need a new mold as hes more werewolfish with the kinda hunch a lycanthrope has. At the very least a new head n torso.

What kind of a notebook was it?? Like the paper kind or the tech kind...

Jerseysteel 09-01-2017 12:39 PM

I would be ok with a reissue of Wendigo from the Hulk wave, just with updated hips

I wonder if this body could be used for a Man-Ape down the line.
