AND...stores were getting them before etailers... weird.. Last year i was a not very bright and ended up spending an extra 60.00 on overpriced figures....JUST because i lack patience.. well that WON'T happen this year...well unless i see them overpriced in a store again..:D |

DTL...I hear ya! Even though I preordered Beast and Gambit, I went hunting for the today and found Gambit...Went looking for Beast, but only one I did not see in wild, but I found something else that I had been looking for, Night Thrasher! I seen him in the wild once, which was today, and grabbed him once, been looking for him for about 2 months now! Easter Bunny came through...Lol!
Note: I think Hasbro knows many people want that X-Men wave, so I have a feeling it will not be hard find! Happy Easter to all Arkers as well! May you be blessed in whatever and whoever you believe in! |
@Brown....how are they....the feel..the articulation... i promise i will still not covet thine figure...
@Afu.. yeah man.. we are X-FIENDS fa real!! |

As articulation goes, they're Legends quality. Better, in some cases. Wrists, ankles, swivels of all kinds. Ab crunches, swivels at the boobs rather than the waist. The same design sensibilities we've come to expect from them have been adapted beautifully to this line. Pharah's range at the elbows and Soldier 76's range at the thighs are hampered a little bit. It's not enough to be much of a bother. Soldier 76 just has a ton of crap on his belt, making positioning his right leg forward a bit trickier. The paint detail is true to the art style of the games, right down to the dreamy look in Mercy's eyes. So far, everything is perfect. Pharah is probably my favorite, set her next to Figma Samus to see if the quality lined up. Sho nuff! They're onto something with the line, I hope they sell millions of them. |

This morning (or 2 a.m. last night depending on one's perspective) I ordered the Pharah and Mercy set from amazon so that should be here tomorrow but at Gamestop I decided to pick up Sombra too. She's a pretty solid figure but not without some flaws. First the paint on her limbs is minimal particularly on the arms. In the game her arms have this neat transition where they go from purple to blue and back and she has wires running along but here they're solid purple with no details painted and her hands are just solid dark purple. All of the details are there in the sculpt but totally unpainted. The second gripe is that her jacket is pretty restricting on articulation. Now that the negatives are out of the way I can say that I really like how this figure came out for a $20 retail, the sculpting is great and while the limbs (mainly the arms) are missing some paint the jacket and her head came out wonderfully. The face is pretty spot-on to the character and her implants are pretty intricately done as they should be. Her accessories are about as inclusive as they could be; she has her gun, translocator, a hacking effect with her calavera symbol, and alternate hands which came out really well besides the missing paint. For those who may be wondering how the Hasbro figures scale with the Figma, the Hasbro ones are a bit bigger but with Tracer (the only Figma one I have) you can fudge it since Tracer's one of the shortest characters. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...7fe6a921_b.jpg At Target a helpful employee got this out of the back for me. |
^ Hot damn... Sombra looks great. I am so used to her legendary skin which she has the same one side shaved lines in her head, but the other half is a long blonde pony tail... that look is pretty much my default Sombra look. That figure's headsulpt is so nice looking for the price point though.

slightly annoyed that Kraven has pants & shoes tho, since he didn't in the story. |

Sadly I have to agree with the notion from the Legends thread that he looks like he's wearing Peggy Bundy's pants. If they'd gone with the look from the comic I'd probably pick up that set.

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...155a593f_b.jpg Amazon delivered my Pharah and Mercy set today and I am so damn happy to finally have figures of these two. For $40 this set is just about perfect to me, an alternate Pharah head without the helmet would've been very appreciated but all things considered there's still quite a bit in the box. The figures themselves are great with similar articulation as seen in the Marvel Legends line although some of it is hindered by bits like Pharah's shoulder pads or Mercy's skirt. The paint and sculpt work are really nice and unlike Sombra there's less glaringly missing colors but some paint is still missing such as the red detailing on Mercy's wings. Overall these are fantastic representations of the characters as seen in the game. The accessories are about as loaded as they could be and the included flight stand is actually much better than I was anticipating although it doesn't provide much elevation, the Overwatch symbol as the base of the stand is a nice touch. I really hope this line continues for as long as possible but if it suffers an untimely end at least Hasbro nailed my favorite characters out of the gate. |

Hasbro Overwatch scale perfectly with Figma Overwatch!
Now I can fill out the ranks on characters that Figma won't make, or too big to make within reasonable price. |

This figure is just plain beautiful. The sculpting and paintwork are phenomenal on both the Faun and his accessories. He stands well and while articulation is less than the Pale Man he still has enough to get by. It did take a moment to get used to the fact that the figure is colored to match the actual costume and not the blue lighting seen in the film. As was the case with the Pale Man this figure is a dream come true, before NECA decided to make them it always seemed like Pan's Labyrinth figures just weren't going to happen. Two of my absolute favorite figures. |

I know that Goat guy from Pan's Labrynth is supposed to be a neutral character, but damn he is scary. Like if I woke up in the middle of the night and saw that thing on my toy shelf I would probably be legit scared for a few seconds.

Honestly though, I've scared myself on accident because of figures before. One time I forgot where I had one of my little facehugger accessories displayed and so after waking up but before gathering my senses I thought there was a decently sized scorpion sitting on my shelf. I find scorpions throughout the house during the warmer seasons so it was a legitimate startle. |
