That's pretty decent! Have fun! also even though the urge may be there, if they show any black order finished product, they still need them for production so don't liberate them! :p

i'd go if i thought the cost and travel time was worth the event, but i'm wondering how exciting the entire thing can be if i'm only really interested in legends and star wars black series.

Domino Weapons

Anybody else notice that Domino has the exact same guns as the 12" Deadpool?

I am looking forward to this wave. I will feel better when I have seen the actual production figures.

Starlord67 09-06-2017 08:46 AM

Looking more and more forward to the Deadpool wave!! I wonder if any more characters will be revealed at HAS CON. Love to see more X-force characters like Feral or Warpath. Maybe more New Mutants like Sunspot or Wolfsbane??

I am desperately hoping that next year's SDCC set is either a Hellfire Club set or a New Mutants set. One is more just wish fulfillment but given we have a NM movie coming out, and there's so many much needed characters that haven't had ANY figures either TB or Hasbro, that's probably a better option to have.

We need a Sunspot, Moonstar, an updated Cannonball, Wolfsbane (though I don't like her personally), so many others. I doubt they'd put Magik in a second SDCC set without risking the rage of the fans, but it's possible.

Looks great! I just hope that his joints aren't as rubbery as the new Man Thing. I'm afraid to move some of his joints because I am afraid of breaking them.

Boy Blunder 09-06-2017 10:22 AM

Hey, can anyone tell me what the 'atomic' energy accessories are that MarvelousNews used in their Captain Universe Spider-Man photo shoot? I'd like to grab a couple for our own figures.

warmachine6 09-06-2017 10:50 AM

i believe those originally belong to dc classics or universes fire storm , might be able to find one on ebay

Hmmm. Seem to be about $15 and up on eBay, and no auctions for just the accessories. Curses.

Captain Nash 09-06-2017 10:57 AM

Just saw a "has to be fake, please be fake" X-Men listing for the Apocalypse wave on the fwooosh under their X-Men wave 3 thread.

Nightcrawler - Definitely needed.
Rogue - not sure what version and why over new for Hasbro figure, but would get.
Cypher -not my favorite but sure, I'd buy him.
Magneto- I'm not really needing one but if it's a really good one it could be okay.

It goes downhill (very quickly) from there.

Xtreme - I'd get but meh.
Maggott - WTF Maggott?? Why? We have plenty of A B C and D listers to choose from over him.
Kylun - For the love of God Hasbro.....

There's no real way this list can be real, just reporting what I'm seeing. If this is real I'm going to just pass on the wave and get Nightcrawler and Rouge and maybe Cypher separately as I do love the TB Apocalypse.

See, the only WTFs for me are Kylun and Rogue, and that's only because we got a near-perfect Rogue just last year. But I'm inclined to agree that this is fake, if only because there's no Wolverine, and I'm suspicious of any X-wave that doesn't include some form of Wolverine.

Honestly, if a Maggott got made, I'd be on the verge of exploding with joy. Him, Marrow, and Cecilia Reyes are high on my personal wants list. And X-Treme... yes please. But yeah, I'm really suspicious of this wave listing.

hasbroherofan 09-06-2017 11:20 AM

At a con earlier they'd said this X-wave would be their strongest yet. In my mind that doesn't translate to a few big names and then a bunch of relatively obscure characters not many were asking for (no offense to any fans).

So yeah I'm skeptical.

I will definetly get Magneto if its the classic version (I missed out the one from the Jubilee wave),. I wonder if Rouge will be a first appearance/Brotherhood version to go with the Jim Lee version we got recently? Does Apocalypse really need another BAF? I'm sure there are other character who havent had BAF's before that could be done?

I would be glad for you and the other person who wanted a Maggott figure then. (j/k, every character is wanted by many and none are wanted by all!) I would gladly take a Marrow or Cece, I just never liked Maggott at all. And going back, to fwoosh there actally IS a Wolverine in the wave. which brings it up to 8 figures when it's a 7 figure wave, so yeah, definitely gotta be fake.

@JAG - Whether Apocalypse needs another BAF or not is up for debate, but he's coming regardless. So far he's the only confirmed thing about the wave.

Man, the only thing I want from an X-Wave right now is an updated Storm, preferably Jim Lee but I'll take First Appearance too.

And I appreciate everybody checking in on a brother during the Hurricane. Been less active on here than usual due to job hunting and all (plus my computer giving me problems). Family and house is fine; we were just stuck inside for a few days because of the surrounding main roads being flooded but everything is good now. The fam ended up binge watching Game of Thrones while I was binging Flash so we fared a lot better than most.

I would love a Jim Lee Storm to go with the other 90's/Animated series X-Men we have gotten so far!

I wasn't aware he was confirmed, I realise that he needs an upgrade after more than a decade since the original BAF I just wish it was someone new, but seeing how they are redoing Apocalypse I wonder what the chances are of them redoing a Sentinel BAF at some point?

MeLikeJinx 09-06-2017 01:35 PM

So far I only bought half of each X-men wave... so that new wave rumor sounds about right. LOL. It is like they know which figures I want and will only fill up the wave with exactly half of them... thereby ensuring I will never have a complete BAF figure... ever. Haha.

TheBlueMarvel 09-06-2017 01:39 PM

Kylun - was made during the pre-legends Toy Biz era and was one of their best figs IMO. I'm excited by the prospect of a rebirth, not merely because I fondly remember the old fig, but because it would open the door for more Excalibur characters - he was a member of the team for a good little bit...please make Cerise, Hasbro...

Maggot - gets an odd (to me) amount of underground love, for whatever reason. While I never thought much of the character, I know a couple of Maggot fans.

X-treme - is somewhat in keeping with the Shatterstar, Domino, original costume-Cable, and Liefeld vibe that's beginning to form. Blades, long hair, and Shi'ar?...what a perfect character for Glam-rocking X-men crossover fans. :p

Someone (V-Mars?) said they were picking up an era-centric method to the madness of Hasbro's seemingly scattershot approach to X-men selections. All of these rumored characters smack of a very 90's feel. I could see a Nightcrawler sporting one of his ever so slightly tweaked Excalibur costumes (it'd be a let down for many, myself included, but I'd still happily buy the fig), 'Joseph' Magneto (also a let down for many, but I'd find it pretty cool and an opportunity for an alternate mags head and alternate 'random' X-man body), and Rogue in that weird purple and yellow outfit (we have the hairstyle now, thanks to Elsa). On a less germane note: Warlock - he's is a bit naked without Cypher (how cool would it be if they could pull off Doug enveloped by Warlock - now that, I could get behind). The more I think about this suggested wave, the more I want it to be true. The development of this era would make Sage that much more of a possibility and we might get bald Bishop in his best looking (IMO) costume...

I wouldn't say the "only" thing i want but Jim Lee Storm (white outfit) is definitely my most wanted of figures that have at least had some kind of figure in ML format (even if a different outfit). Followed very closely by Psylocke, then Gambit & Nightcrawler are pretty much tied wants, and Bishop and Banshee, not because I'm a huge fan of the character but the fact the existing ones look so bad. I know Beast is a want for many but I'm actually really good with the TB Beast. Still, for those that don't have that, I can definitely understand the want for him.

Another thing that seems off about that, they've been doing really good with the X-ladies so far and it just seems odd that the one female in that wave is one we've had two X-waves ago, though quite likely in a differen outfit. Hasbro has to know that out of any corner of the Marvel Universe, the X-Men has strong female presence, and they can definitely go a little bit heavier on their offerings of female characters for these waves simply becuase of that. By that I mean instead of 1-2 there really wouldn't be an issue with 3 or even 4 female figures in a wave. They're X-Men so as long as they're A or B list characters, they're going to get bought.

I just feel like if this is the wave (and I'm sure it's not but throwing this out there) that Hasbro is going a little too far left with too much of the wave. a 7 figure wave should have 2-3 A listers (for X-Men A list not Marvel A list which is only like 8 characters), and this line up does have that with four, but of the four only Nightcrawler hasn't been done by Hasbro before. You've got one mid-level character and three really way out there choices. I can see having one way out there choice, but honestly three is too much. Neither of the first two waves had figures that were way left field. A bit of a surprise with Sunfire and Shatterstar, but nothing as extreme as ...er...X-Treme and Kylun and Maggott. It just feels really unbalanced.

Now I wouldn't be surprised if this line up was mostly correct, but with a few tweaks...Kylun and either Maggott/X-Treme could go and be replaced by a A or B tier female, and Rogue could be switched for Storm, and you'd have a line up that makes much more sense. That also would reduce it to 7 figures: Nightcrawler, Magneto, Wolverine, Cypher, Storm, Female character (Psylocke plzz!!!) and Way left field character.

Yet another edit: Another thought is maybe the wolverine is the second female. All New Wolverine. That would free up a space that would likely go to another female otherwise. Though maybe we'd still get 3 females. Otherwise I'd throw another A-B lister male in that space (Gambit or Beast LOL), or I guess potentially one of those other left field choices. Still yet minor tweakings. I just don't see this list staying firm as is.
