I'm working on my teaching degree, which a lot of people don't realize takes 5-6 years to complete. I'm taking 6 credit hours this Summer, and one of the classes is terrible because the midterm is in a couple days and I have no idea how to memorize that much material (Summer courses are also only 6 weeks long, so I'm probably screwed but I never give up). It doesn't help that this particular class is online, so I don't even have a real professor to teach the material, and have no clue what I should be focusing on. A little word of advice - don't take Summer online classes. The other class I'm taking in person is fine, it is a challenge to keep up with the fast pace of it and constantly crank out papers but at least I know what is expected of me.

Hey DFD, what are you studying? I have the same issue trying to keep up with books and comics while in school. And of course did the crazy thing of taking 12 units over the summer LOL

I prefer online courses LOL I'm an accounting concentration, but yeah, this one online I'm taking atm is jsut over kill, something due every other day with projects and reading overload. and its just a GE course I missed, so I'm not committed LOL After this 6wks session is up, I have the four wk one, and anticipate my head exploding LOL

DogFashionDisco 06-25-2012 09:59 PM

Yeah, the one I'm referring to is a US Gov and Constitution course. It is almost impossible to do without a good instructor, and I was naive enough to think I could do it online and in 6 weeks. I don't even know what I should be focusing on, and it is really rough, but that won't stop me. I just don't want to screw up my GPA. Good luck on your end though!

Roxxstar 06-25-2012 10:08 PM

Whoa, good luck to you too LOL I took both my history courses and a history of journalism course online (not at once lol) and that was rough enough during a regular semester!
My course is umm... *cough* women's & feminist's activism *cough*
LOL I wouldn't recommend it, and wish I had opted for credit/no credit

BTW, if anyone needs Shazam vs Black Adam, my TRU has about 7 of them.

I took a semester of jazz history a couple years ago during my "lets see if college is right for me" stage. Amazing class, I learned a lot about jazz and how to listen to it. It helped that my "mood" was a bit elevated during that class

Out of those figures, I have only found Lightray. My DC collection consists of mostly bad ass Batman characters, but there are a few Arkers with collections that are so much more impressive.

Nah just wanting to see what they were to have a visual look.

Plus, it is kind of expensive on my end to search right now, but I can appreciate that you guys want to find them before the Dark Knight flick hits and they're nowhere to be found. I've found that a certain book sotre has been quite reliable for finding what I've wanted, but the figures end up being about $30 each to purchase, package, and ship.
Side note:
So I started reading Detective Comics - Faces of Death vol. 1 recently but haven't gotten around to finishing it. Has anyone else gotten into this series? I get really frustrated with all the studying and essays I write (yes, I even have to do this stuff during the Summer, its horrible) so I'm trying to catch up on my comics. Also, any quick recommendations?

If you haven't read any of it, Red Hood and The Outlaws. I'm a Red Hood freak, so I love anything Jason Todd related. But its not just RH, its a great comic with a really good storyline.

Torn Prince 06-26-2012 12:08 PM

Alright, I figure this is the proper place for this, can anyone tell me what the value would be for a complete DCUC BAF Bane?

wolvie82 06-26-2012 12:35 PM

Anyone has a metron to sell or trade?

M3T4L V1KING 06-26-2012 12:54 PM

What other figures are coming in the subscription? Black Mask, Poison Ivy, and Rocket Red are the only ones that come to mind at the moment.

Thanks :)
I was just about to google it myself, busy day at work
So SDCC in july, black mask in sept and ivy in october and TFs in december... not to mention the random TRU Masterpiece TFs and god knows what else is in retail.
My wife is going to boil me alive lol

Torn Prince 06-26-2012 01:14 PM

Oh wow...there's going to be a DCUC black mask? Its about damn time. I wish a certain ex Robin would get the same treatment.

Roxxstar 06-26-2012 01:30 PM

I agree, but which version would you want? I vote his current version with the outlaws

Either that one, or the way he was in the Under The Red Hood animated movie. He's had alot of different looks with the Red Hood character, but those two are my favorite. He'd have to have an alternate Jason head too. Its only right haha

Roxxstar 06-26-2012 01:47 PM

Hey Torn, here is a Joe custom I did of Red Hood from the Batman & Robin comic prior to New 52

Dude that is AMAZING. Would you be willing to do another for me, ya know commission?

Also if DC Direct really wants my money, they'll make a 6 inch Red Hood. I love Outlaws, so I might actually get them all if the sculpts are nice.
