Nope, they were on the shelf.

I think they might skip wave 2 - that happened with transformers in the UK last year. Alternatively they might turn up in the Entertainer - they sometimes get older stuff in.

ukmu 08-03-2016 05:58 AM

Good to at least see a date...that gives me hope for supermarkets.

I was sort of holding out and waiting, but now I will definitely wait it out.

Boredman 08-03-2016 07:41 AM

Well that's positive at least. Feels like I've been waiting forever for wave 2 to hit retail, especially considering how fast supermarkets got the first wave in.

Just checked the FP website and they have wave 3 up for preorder but have sold out of most of wave 2. They have the new comic packs on there as well but again, these are all sold out except the Hyperion one.

TRU still have masses of the first wave of two packs clogging the pegs so they're not likely to get any new stock anytime soon until they shift that lot.

Marvel Universe Groot Guardians of the Galaxy Loose Action Figure | eBay

Seventeen quid and change... good as a deal as you're likely to see

Ffs! That means the stores got them and the website didn't! What's the point of preordering!?

It was FP International if that makes any difference.

International have the .co.uk website, the other uses .com, I don't find that confusing at all. Oh no.

Sainsbury's have ML 3.75 wave 1 down to £4.50 in case anyone is interested. Hopefully this means they're making space for wave 2 finally...

My Sainsbury's has had a full shelf of the damn things and then I when I checked them yesterday they had all gone but Ulik. I'd been checking in there twice a week for about two months and nothing had shifted, and the one week I can't check they go on sale and get cleared out. Sickening.

That's a bummer. Mine only had 3 left and I have them all but i picked up an extra Ulik to take him out of package

Basilisk 08-12-2016 04:13 AM

How come Asda and Sainsbury's have the Marvel Legends figures in store but not on their websites? so strange.

Primacron 08-12-2016 11:38 AM

Really hope they don't skip W2.

ukmu 08-14-2016 07:22 AM

I have a feeling they will Primacron. Straight to wave 3 is my gut feeling, don't know why just have a feeling. My Sainsbury as out WAY before the sale even happened. They were only there for under a month! Poof, they went fast.....then nothing. Then Marvel Mashers were put in their place, then about one month ago that space was cleared and MARVEL LEGENDS 3.75" £9.99 sticker thing went there. The sticker is still there now but the spare has been filled with random Star Wars Hot Wheels stuff....

Anyone's guess at this point.

jedirulz123 08-15-2016 01:17 PM

They've got Triton, Yondu, Danvers, & Ulik at my Sainsburys for £4.50

My Sainsburys used to have Triton, Danvers, Spiderman Noir and Black Panther for £4.50!

ukmu 08-16-2016 07:23 AM

Good that most have sold, hopefully a good sign!! Also Sainsbury's and Argos will merge soon, so hopefully that will prove good for us as well.

Lionheart 08-16-2016 07:56 AM

Sainsbury's and Argos - really? I hadn't heard that. I wonder how that will work...

Basilisk 08-16-2016 02:27 PM

Took a look at my local sainsburys selection. All they had was Yondu, House of M Spider-man and Captain marvel. Shame Carol uses the awful new sculpt would have otherwise been an instant buy.

ukmu 08-17-2016 12:45 AM

Yeah, they are going run as usual but eventually have a little desk in the back somewhere like the bigger Tesco stores have a Tesco Direct. Still keeping all the outlet Argos and ramping up their eBay shipping pickup services.

Point being, Sainsbury's seems to be the most reliable since the rebranding as far as consistency goes. Hopefully with Argos' buying power and warehouse storage instead of on the shelf storage, we can see a great toy result for ALL figures.

Agreed. It still seems like certain waves are being skipped (In all stores) though but that's not an issue I've seen exclusively with the 3.75" figures. It's happened a lot with the 6" Legends too. Seeing all these bright and shining waves revealed always comes with cautious anticipation for me, as not all of them seem to make it to retail here.

I don't actively try to get them all from actual stores but it is nice to go and pick them up too, rather than just get them all online.

Primacron 08-19-2016 08:03 AM

No sign of the Civil War packs in TRU, but they did have those DC Multiverse 2 packs where it's a large figure (Killer Croc, Solomon Grundy) with a 3.75" figure.

They've been in my local one for a while but more recently a few DC Collectables packs have showed up in mine too, including the Arkham Origins 4 pack, the Arrow Billy Wintergreen Deathstroke and Green Arrow pack as well as The Dark Knight Returns set with Batman, Robin, Superman and the Joker.

Quite exciting as I've never seen anything aimed at the adult collector like this in Toys R Us before. Will probably pick up at least a couple of them at some point. Hope this means we might see more in the future.

It's a bit strange because they've been out for ages, if it was Entertainer then it would make more sense as they often get older stuff (presumably at some sort of discount).

I would MUCH rather buy them local and support Sainsbury or ASDA over China Bay to be honest. An independent store, toy shop or even a LCS (if I had one)... FP is alright but a MAJOR hassle them get to for me.

I will hold off and get a Gamora in the comic packs....

arent you chinabays number 1 fan???fuck paying retail costs, lolz

Agreed. Maybe with the increasing popularity of the shows and movies they've decided to see how some of the products could sell in our stores. I think they've already been selling them for a while in the Stateside TRU stores, so I guess they might be trying to expand their distribution, aside from just comic book and specialist stores.

In other news, the Walmart Exclusive Marvel Legends Winter Soldier and Falcon figures from Civil War have popped up in Asda, £19.97 each! Picked up what appeared to be the one and only Falcon from my local branch this morning. A couple of Winter Soldiers among the Onslaught wave too.

Basilisk 08-21-2016 11:24 AM

Picked up Emma Frost at the Brighton TRU for only £7.99!
