ON-TOPIC:

While I'm hoping to get some really nice reveals from HasCon tomorrow (X-Wave, the upcoming Avengers wave that Songbird's getting released in), I'm expecting that we'll mostly get the rest of the Deadpool, Spider-Man (Lizard BAF) and Black Panther waves revealed, barring MCU characters that they don't wanna spoil, of course.

And thank god that X-Wave list was confirmed as a fake. I would have bought the entire wave anyway, but there's a hell of a lot more characters I'd hope they'd get to before hitting X-Treme and Kylun (Though, seriously, give us a Maggott - poor guy has yet to get an action figure - along with a Cecilia and a Marrow. In fact, go ahead and give us Marrow first.)

I agree with this last. I know she's regarded as obscure, but Marrow actually would be the final piece in the whole late late 90's lineup we need (if you include Toybiz). also Cece has made numerous appearances in the interim and will be in the New Mutants movie. Maggott shows up for like a year and then dies later on. Hardly anywhere near the same level of obscurity. Not knocking his fans but Marrow and Cece are at least a couple of steps up in terms of obscurity.

No joke. Cecilia is actually back in a recurring role as the school physician these days (bless ResurrXion), and Marrow recently appeared as part of a mutant resistance cell during the 'Secret Empire' bullcrap, so obviously some writers still fondly remember them (make sense, as the current crop of writers have many more people from our era that were fans during the 90s).

But then again, I could literally go on all day about the 90s X-folk that need some Hasbro love. Hell, sign me up for a Val Cooper, either in her funky battle armor or just in business attire (which, y'know, could also be used to tool into a Peggy Carter, JUST SAYIN', HASBRO)

Gah X-Factor 90's was the shnizzle. I was actually a fan of the mid-90's line up with Mystique and Sabretooth as much as the Havok/Wolfsbane era. I really do want a modern Madrox (er, before he died) but I would take a classic one as well. Double packed Hasbro, naturally! And yeah Val Cooper would not be difficult to do, in reality, even if they went with the battle armor it's not too far off Sharon Carter's look.

Not Marvel Legends reveals but related, a lot of Black Panther stuff just got announced. There's a non Legends 6 inch Shuri (I guess the crappier toylines) I might have to get just to have a Shuri. At least the scale would be right. Spoilers contained within, obviously.

Getting ready for this hurricane in So. Florida...Went to Walmart to pick up supplies...Got flash light, first aid kit, candles, and lighters...Decide to stroll down toy aisle...Planet Hulk wave and Man-Thing wave are in stock...Did not see Hella or Blade from either wave, of course, but did grab the only Bullseye, only seen him once before, and I told myself I would not pass on him, again...Bullseye is a great figure...

Note: The new X-Men wave!...If the rumors are true about the character selection, not really 'feeling it' for some of the characters...But, who knows, maybe the 'not so popular characters' will look great in person!

Boy Blunder 09-07-2017 11:23 AM

T'Challa is king of a highly technologically-advanced society.

He can have a damn Panther Jet if he wants.

I'm sure you guys have already discussed this when the figure was new, but...

I just saw the Ego/Starlord two pack and Ego has two heads that appear to be the same? What's up with that? Or did I see one someone swapped a scarier head for?

hasbroherofan 09-07-2017 12:49 PM

I mean he already had a Panther Jet in Civil War anyway.

https://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net...20160925171420

Turning into a giant robot is pretty silly though. I'm assuming that's just to make it more interesting for the kiddies.

So we should be getting the rest of the Legends wave soon then. Maybe this weekend at Hascon?

Quite possibly. It's really tough to say given that this is the first Hascon. It could be new product or a repeat of SDCC or recently released product. So even if we don't get much then we have NYTF next month.

I hope we get all this for Hascon but at least between the two I would expect we'll see:

The remainder of the Black Panther, Spider-Man Lizard, and Deadpool waves.
A couple of more figures from the Avengers waves - first wave or second wave or will they really make a distinction short of showing the BAF. Hoping specifically for MCU Vision and some Black Order figures.
Shuri/Klaw...however they fit in, to a 2 pack or a wave.
1-2 figures revealed of the X-wave, 3 if we're very lucky. Likely will just be slides of the characters, maybe some rough molds I can't imagine finished product at this point or I'll be all "WTF release them now!"
Maybe some hints as to more 2 packs coming up.

hasbroherofan 09-07-2017 01:24 PM

Was there anyone else rumored for the Deadpool wave we haven't seen yet?

Just Paladin I think. I will say that if he's given the right costume, he would be an easy figure for them to convert to Cannonball, just some repaint and new head and minor tooling.

The two heads are definitely similar, but they are distinctly different, just subtly. One is more of a jolly head with more "puffed-up" cheeks and eyes slightly more closed, and the other is more stern/angry, with a bit more of a scowl, and the cheeks not as high/"puffed-up".

Ones the head of him happy and one is him after eating taco bell ( constipated ) . ;)

For like the fifth time, the difference is meant to be subtle. One head is happy and the other is stern. The happy head should be the one already attached in box and you can it's the happy head because the cheeks are more rounded. The stern head has relatively flat cheeks.

Edit: Just saw Jeddostotle7 already answered.

I am looking forward to this wave. I will feel better when I have seen the actual production figures.

I really hope they make a Domino in the 3.75 line...

Can we get an Exodus figure at some point? I just pulled out my old back-in-the-day pre-Legends figure sans right wing for reference. Would be an awesome addition to the Legends fam.

I would love to see an Exodus figure. Short of Selene and Sauron he is my #1 most wanted "never done before" X-villain.

Whoa...what happened to his face! It's like it melted like in Raiders of The Lost Ark!

That doesn't inspire confidence.

Just watched a walk-through video on YouTube of the Marvel Legends HasCon booth. The set-up appears to be similar to the SDCC booth, with the glass containers that are separated by wave and that they add figures to throughout the Con. The SDCC revealed figures for both the Lizard and Sasquatch wave were on display. The only "new" figures that I noticed in the video were loose versions of Namor and Black Bolt (both with alternate heads) and a single-boxed Medusa.

Not my video:

He's got a pretty gruesome paint chip on his nose. He actually held up pretty good for being a loose figure that my brother and I actually played with back in the day.

Another good that needs a Hasbro job is the Age of Apocalypse Cyclops.

Be safe brotha ! this thing is going at us full steam and im actually in south florida, which will be taking a real big hit.

Anywho i also went to wal-mart a little while ago, and i saw both the netflix wave and the ragnorok wave. i ended up passing on both because no bullseye and i already have the entire BAF and the ragnorok wave because i have no interest in it.

Also just saw better photos of this upcoming deadpool wave. im VERY tempted at getting the whole thing. anyone have any better pics of deadpool? is his the modern version or more like the 90s liefeld verison?
