Back at ya on the respect front pal, age ain’t nothing but a number, but sheer ignorance is timeless... you must be older than I, or in a UN outfit if you went boots on the ground in Lybia under gaddaffi.... which was it?

I am assuming your European, and not 118 years old...
Or you were there in 2011 for the civil war...which would make age a non issue...

UN peacekeeping deployment in leb and chad!!!embassy work in lybia years before the downfall.
i was born in the 70s heading back to israel later this year to visit old friends.look sorry for being a dick to you and to others in here over the past years i aint a pro legends guy,i respect them thats all.and i am just as enthusiastic about the line as you,i never show it here.i think i should, but i think for me life is just getting in the way and by the end of the year i will be getting out completely, but not before i share with you guys the collection vision i wanted to achieve on a personal basis.i think i reached the goal i set years ago.and over the coming months i hope to share it with you guys.if anything you guys have been good to each other and thats the important thing, egos got in the way in the past.thats not what its about for me!respect where respect is due!!!hopefully it comes around again and snowballs into something great.peace!
lol damn bro i wish i was 18 again XD

kylactus 02-13-2018 05:58 PM

It’s all good brother, and seriously I respect everyone who serves, and everyone who loves the the MU line, I totally get what your saying though, in times like these forums turn into negative bitch fests, which makes sense when we collectivly all feel screwed. In all honesty I love what Dwight’s done for legends, not thrilled with the boat were in now, but honestly feel it will turn around in time, when I say fuck Dwight it’s with all love and respect, I wouldn’t wish bad on the dude, or anyone here. The XMO, and MU lines really have a special place for me, I got injured on deployment, and when I got back to Guam, after a couple months in a hospital in germany at Rammstein AFB, I was pretty bad on pain pills, and the air force pushed that shit like candy, I was at the BX picking up my prescription, ironically, when I saw the XMO figures, it instantly brought me back to when I was a kid with secret wars figures, I used collecting this line, and doing customs as something to focus on while I was on light duty, and get myself clean. I don’t want to sound like a sobbing bitch about it but I really think the MU line saved my life. That’s the big reason I went all compleationist with it. In a weird way I feel like I owe them...anyway, nothin but love here Jackie, drink, fight, hug, pass out, wake up and do it again... are we not men!!

Speaking of ML (6 inch line), i noticed the price hike to $25 USD for 'premium' figures which i assumed ML already was given they were geared for collectors.

Mattel is doing the same thing with their "premium' collection though at a higher $30 USD.

$25 will be the standard for ML or like 6 inch premium collectibles. YIKES!

kylactus 02-13-2018 07:20 PM

I’m looking forward to seeing if “premium” means no BAF, and downgraded articulation... hasbro does not have a great track record with rebranding marvel stuff...

Dwight has to cover the lost revenue from the MU he isn't selling anymore. :D:p:cool:

I made several of these guys years ago from Mattel Secret Wars figures. This is the first I have done in this scale. I am working on a way to make their helmets that will look good.

Assuming that everything is sculpted digitally these days, why is there such a difference in the quality of the headsculpts between the 4” and 6” lines? Shouldn’t it just be a matter of scaling the render up or down?

Well, digitally its easy to scale it up or down. But once you move to solid mediums, it all depends on how well the "sculpt" can be rendered physically. I suspect the limitations on the 1:18 output would be getting the detail into the metal molds and how well the plastic can flow, take shape into those molds, and cool off into the correct look.

1:12 also has an advantage of being easier to paint since if the masks are slightly off, the mistake isn't as noticeable.

Wouldn't it logically be more noticeable on a larger product?

Surley if we have caster that can shrink legends then why dont hasbro do something similar..

kylactus 02-14-2018 12:41 PM

Because they don’t feel we’re worth the effort anymore.

More MARVELOUS JOEs just in time for the Black Panther premiere...

Ulysses Klaue aka Klaw: physicist, engineer, assassin, and arms smuggler.

He's a custom combination of both Avenger Earth's Mightiest Heroes and Marvel's Cinematic Universe which explains why the sonic converter is on his left arm. It's actually removable and can be placed on either arm.

Pilk I been saying this for years bro, figure a company who produces a product would want money right? I mean it’s solid money in the bank for them as collectors / fanboys are slaves to the plastic crack!

Appreciate it, Creator.

Working on a few more Marvelous Joes, just trying to find time to finish them is the largest obstacle.

Also we are hoping to catch Black Panther tomorrow.
