I checked brickseek last night on Thor Target ML two pack. Said it was in stock but 0 saleable, so I woke up earlier today and went to Target before going to work. I see a bunch of workers stocking stuff. Asked one guy if he could look up this dpci number and so he proceeds to the back. Wait a few minutes and the guy comes out with a box of them. Not even opened and tells me "how many you want?" Lol. Took two. Left the other two. Like they say, early bird gets the worm.

Deadpool is limit 1
Arcee and Rex are Limit 2

The time can be antime they choose. Usually it has been around 11am Central for me. But the Thrawn set went up around 9 am from what I am told and I missed out.

I'm just hoping I can get my hands on Rex. He's long been a favorite of mine, and since I am currently over the road with work, accessing Hasbro's site can be something of a challenge sometimes depending on what part of the country I am in.

Keep in mind, Rex is pretty much an 'early access' version, and will be getting a retail release as well. I don't believe there's any planned differences between the two beyond packaging.

Yeah the single retail release of Rex will use that new Face Scan whatever it's called Technology and the Hascon won't

Are they doing that on the Black Series figures, or is that only on the MCU Legends?

And even then, would they be doing it on Rex, since he's not from the films, specifically?

Supposedly they will be doing this for all Black Series figs going forward.

Rex may not have been in the film, but he sort of is thanks to him being one of Jango's clones. Wouldn't be all that difficult to scan Temura Morrison I'd imagine, although I like the Hascon version well enough...

Would be pretty sweet of they gave us a couple of extra heads for Fives/Wolfe/Tup/Cody etc...but Hasbro seems intent on making the heads of Black Series figures as difficult to remove as possible. Sucks because I would like to head swap the new Kylo every now and again for his helmeted look, but that bastard is really on there...

Man. I'm glad that I'm mostly sticking to non-humans or animated characters in that line. I think the Real Scan stuff can look cool, but it can also look terrible very easily. I have yet to personally find a Jessica Jones that's got a good enough face to buy.

That is too funny lol i guess we all get that look, especially when we're guys in our mid 30s with full beards walking in stalking the toy aisle.

I here you on that, Arker! Everytime I walk in Walgreens and walk out less than five minutes later, I feel I always get the 'look' from the employees like I stole something...Ha...The life of a middle aged collectors...LMAO!

Note: The new Pycloke, Storm, Thanos, and Apocalypse are looking good...These will be the first ones I will be looking for, most definitely... Will get that Hydra soilder two pack because the good heroes and heroines in my collection will have more bad guys to beat down on...Ha! Hope to see release dates soon on the above mentioned! And, also looking for Human Torch, too, hopefully he will hit Walgreens soon...Can not wait to see what the new 'Thing' and Mr. Fantastic will look like!

Sad news.....HARRY DEAN STANTON has died from natural causes at the age of 91 :(

Archangel 09-15-2017 07:03 PM

Just got notification that the Dark Pheonix pack is available online at TRU right now. I just checked, and it's true.

She said that Torch was scheduled to come in last week, but the toys get shipped when they get shipped, and the most she can do is rag on the people in charge of shipping them out (especially since she has a 'waiting list' of local collectors she keeps updated on releases). But I do know that the moment she gives me the call, we'll be picking Johnny up by the end of the day.

Every time you mention that manager it makes me happy to know that not all managers and employees give collectors the dirty looks like others have mentioned. I had one back when I was living in IL a few years ago who got down right hostile when I asked if he knew when they would get Agent Venom. Talk about off-putting when I was super polite and courteous. Even after his little tantrum about my being the fifth person to ask him that day and giving me this really nasty look, I still thanked him for his time. He almost seemed shocked that I did not get hostile back.

Checked Brickseek and then went to my local Target that it said there were 4 at and had a nice girl go in back and bring me the whole case of Thor/Valkyrie packs from the back and let me look over the paint apps.
All I have to worry about now is the Torch and Hydra 2 pack. then a rest from Legends.
That big Thor sword is about as tall as Valkyrie but her little blue sword is very flimsy and I can not figure out where her sheath is supposed to go. I just stuck it behind her belt strap.

So take this with a grain of salt... this was just posted on Marvelous news FB page. The supposed remainder of figures. Sounds semi accurate. I just don't see where gladiator fits in with the a X wave especially only time I saw him was in a few episodes of the 90s X men cartoon.

Well, given the X-Men's ties to the Shi'ar empire, it makes perfect sense to me.

You must have never read an X-men comic in your life if you don't know that Gladiator & the rest of the Imperial Guard made their comic debut in their comic back in the mid-late 70s. Does anyone here even read the comics or are all you know about these characters from what you see in cartoons & the MCU?

Boy Blunder 09-15-2017 11:13 PM

@Parademon, don't be a toolbag. Nobody likes a toolbag.

Saw this too late to take advantage, dammit. Is there any way to get a notification for if/when the pack goes back in stock? Either email or text alert?

^Kat is a cutie...

Yes, Gladiator is well known as a major part of X-men lore. Especially considering Kallark's role and appearance in arguably the most seminal X-men story arc of all: The Phoenix Saga.

Note, that the supposed remainder of the figures are based on Amazon listings, so I'd say there's a fair deal of credibility to them.
