I read a comment on fb from someone that says they tend to go live between 8a and 8p or between noon and 8pm i cant remember for sure which time period and i cant find the post. I will be refreshing all day, so the instant I find it active, I will post here.

If thats the full wave then they look good but I hope we get a classic Magneto as the one from the Jubilee wave was near-impossible to find!

Captain Nash 09-16-2017 05:21 AM

This is a decent remainder of the wave. The only thing I'm surprised by is neither Nightcrawler or Gambit. Preferred both but at least one of the two...Nightcrawler would be my choice. THen again, they still need to have some big names for the next waves, and Nightcrawler, Beast, Bishop, Gambit, Angel and Emma are all that are left of heroes. Sinister and Mystique of the villains. They probably want to drag this out several years so that we do eventually get them all but they have to space out the big names as well.

I want a gambit but im so afraid he will look like no-talent tatum. Good lord who thought itd be a good idea to put that wooden chud in the role of a cajun badass!

Ha! Yes. Tatum has already destroyed one childhood franchise for me so I'd prefer if he didn't do another. I know it's selfish, but as long as he's cast in the role I hope the movie stays in development hell. I mean, from what I can tell as a person he seems like a really great guy but I can't stand his acting.

hasbroherofan 09-16-2017 05:31 AM

The prospect of a new Magneto is tempting but I'd have to wait and see what costume they go with. I have no use for another figure of the red and purple look, and unlike Klaw I don't think the last one was terrible enough that it demanded a redo.

Hasbro hasn't done toys for any Fox movies since like, what, 2009? And given the movie is still in development limbo that makes it even less likely.

Spyne98 09-16-2017 05:52 AM

I would like any Magneto personally. Classic, that black and white one, or the one he's sporting now in X-Men Blue. Ideally, I would like an updated classic, but I'll take what I can get.

And Hasbroherofan is right, hasbro legends haven't had any of the fox movie looking characters in a toy line for a long long time.

Dr Kain 09-16-2017 06:48 AM

So no Nightcrawler... :-(

Ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff

Hopefully it's actually going to be a good classic Magneto and not those stupid looking recent versions.

Augustus_Cole 09-16-2017 07:08 AM

If anyone needs the Thor/Val 2pack...I grabbed an extra. PM me. I'd prefer to get it ountof my hands and in the mail today.

Exact cost plus exact shipping.

Is that movie even still happening? Time to Elsa up dude and let it go. Psylocke looks nothing like mei melicon or Olivia munn, storm doesn't look like Halle or Alexandra shipp and they've actually played those characters. None of the x-men figures have looked anything like their movie counterparts so why would gambit?

They're not going to fill a wave with nothing but A-list, highly demanded X-Men. They've got to save stuff for future waves. Bear in mind we may well get two waves of X-Men next year (and if not, will likely get another wave year after next). Either way, it's not like Nightcrawler or Gambit are never going to get made again. Just be patient.

As far as this rumor goes, if Gladiator is "Black costume Gladiator" (Which he's worn in more recent appearances) and Magneto is good (Classic w/ Removeable helmet would be ideal, but there are other costumes I'd accept), then I'm probably OK with it. Yeah, some folks are going to be annoyed they repacked Gladiator, but not everyone got that SDCC set.

I dunno, I think his most recent costume isn't bad at all:

https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/...20161222203420

Kinda reminds me of his X-Men Evolution look a little bit.

Sure, "ideal" would be a classic costume but with a new head with removeable helmet, but I'd accept the above costume. Chances are though it'll be one of the sleeveless costumes (and for whatever reason I don't like the sleeveless costumes on Magneto).

Or given their fondness for upsizing their recent 3.75" offerings to ML scale, it could be Age of Apocalypse Magneto...which I would also find acceptable. Or hell, just put classic and AoA heads in the pack.

Hopefully that's the costumes they're wearing, too, I want the more recent X-Factor Jaime.

Also Gladiator is practically an X-Men himself given his debut in the Phoenix Saga and the many times he's teamed up with the X-Men.

His son also attended Wolverine's school a few years back, too. Not sure if he's still around since I stopped buying comics regularly right around the time Wolverine and the X-Men came to an end.

You can read the comics, too, and still not be a walking Marvel encyclopedia that remembers everything, especially when it comes to a C-lister like Gladiator.

I always liked the X-Men Evolution version, especially when his face was hidden in shadow (http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/...20151031175921) which we sort of got in the Onslaught BAF head that came with Kitty Pryde

That's actually the point I was making. As much I want those characters made, how many Legends series, not just X-Men but in general, are filled with nothing but A listing. The first X-Men wave would be most likely, but they had a LOT of ground to cover there after a long absence. At most I'd expect 3 to 4 A-listers, and Psylocke, Magneto, Storm and Wolverine cover that, not to mention the Apocalypse BAF and Sabretooth are actually in my mind A-list villains. So yeah it's a pretty strong wave with what could be counted as 6 A listers out of 8 figures.

I think with the 8 I mentioned, if they throw in another Wolverine which they will at some point, that's 3 figures for each wave for 2019-2021. And a potential for a GSXM box set too, which would almost surely include Nightcrawler.

To add, if this is a true rumor, I have zero complaints about getting a Madrox, he's VERY high up on my want list. I would hope maybe they'd double pack him given the obvious point of his powers, but knowing Hasbro they will double pack Wolverine or Magneto.

Nonsense. Prove to me you know who Chris Claremont is. And don't use Google. Otherwise by golly will I be a condescending prick!

And honestly I can deal with an exclusive repack/repaint if it means more of the tooling budget goes to other characters.

It's why while I thought Odinson was a lazy kitbash, I was fine with it being made if it meant the figures like Hela got better sculpting.

Jerseysteel 09-16-2017 10:46 AM

I am all for Marvel Now Magneto. Is love a new classic costume Magneto, but since they recently did oneI don't see them doing another so fast.

I totally forgot Gladiator was in that SDCC set. I'm not opposed to getting Gladiator, just not sure what shelf to put him on. I've honestly been expecting Madrox, I just hope he's the one packed with no BAF piece, and Magneto and Sabertooth all depend on what they look like

Hell just pop a head on the jubilee wave cyclops with a cape and use scourges boots and its practically done. Could even use those eel electricity hands for that energy look. Id would want a erik head with removable helm though.

Captain Nash 09-16-2017 12:13 PM

Agree at this point after so many versions we need one with a removable helmet. Hell even one or two from the 90's had that.

When did Magneto jump into the world of Tron?

Also, if they are going to do Gladiator, he needs to be in the costume he wore during the Dark Phoenix Saga.

Archangel 09-16-2017 01:48 PM

So glad I haven't forked out the money for a SDCC Gladiator. I'm stoked about this wave. I'm a bit bummed that there is no Gambit or Jim Lee Storm... but it's a good wave that fills a lot of demand.

Saw this too late to take advantage, dammit. Is there any way to get a notification for if/when the pack goes back in stock? Either email or text alert?

Somehow I set it to alert me by email. I already have one, but I figured I try to help some Arkers out. If it pops up again I'll just snag one and help a brother out. I had one in the basket last night and talked myself out of it.

I agree. This is a strong wave but I think with a few tweaks it could have been even stronger. Really, leave TS Wolverine, Magneto, Madrox, Sabretooth and Psylocke as is (even though we don't know the versions on three of them as yet.) Doing either a Jim Lee or FA Storm, both of which were highly requested, would have met more of the demands than Punk Storm. Which is not to say she's a bad figure, she looks awesome, just that one of the other two versions would have been even moreso. And switch out Gladiator for either Nightcrawler, Gambit or Beast. I know they're coming eventually, they have to be..but it's not so bad to want them sooner.

Even if you only followed the cartoon, Gladiator was a big part of their Dark Pheonix storyline.

Corsair would be a good figure.

Gladiator had to drop eventually. The con exclusive was already out there.
