According to the Fwoosh they said TRU was suppose to get them in June. All the other online retailers would be shipping in Aug/Sep time frame is what I've seen. |

They're also available a few months later at BigBadToyStore, Entertainment Earth, and various other online sites (although more likely than not those sites purchase from Entertainment Earth). |

funny, in my local walmart and stores, AIM and hydra soldiers are shelf warming, next to a ton of ww2 captains, superior spidermans and whoever the silver guy is from the spider man line.
but carnage, black cat and amazing spider-mans? nowhere on sight. |

Does anyone know when the GOTG Legends figures are supposed to hit retail stores (Target, Walmart, TRU, etc.)? I know they are on the .com sites, just curious when they are supposed to hit brick and mortar stores.

X-Men Toy line, I read some info and heard some stuff
Marvel aka Disney is a war with Fox over X-Men. They have mentioned to Hasbro, DON'T make any X-Men movie toys because they don't want Fox to get profits. Marvel aka Evil Mouse wants the license back and are trying their darnedest to make Fox give it up. Now, Marvel/Copyright Pushing Mouse are having internal talks about ending the Fantastic Four Comics as an end to a means. They want their properties back and will make consumers suffer, and yes I'm talking about us action figure collectors. Google search to see if I speak the truth....I also heard a lower end Hasbro employee mentioning the situation....that's all I have found out. Where there's smoke, there's fire. |
The may have the FF books on hold for other reasons, but it would be nice if a company would let their 'regulars' know about the things that concern them. They don't have any obligation to do so of course, but I feel the same way everyone else does. I'm very attached to ML and if they ever wanted to put out a survey online for collectors of any brand, I'm sure they would get some really great feedback and lots of crappy ones at the same time lol.
I feel lucky in a way, because we got a new Emma, and we're getting Stryfe, Ororo and Magneto. I like the ASM2 Spideys, Cap Now, Boomerang, Black Cat, Zemo, Wrecking Crew, Madame Mask etc. I don't however expect every figure made to be my dream version, even though I buy them all, it's just not practical to expect it. Too many conventions have come and gone without 'official' word on what they have planned with the lines in Marvel and other brands IMO, some companies have no problem and are infact excited to tell you things, but I don't 'sense'? It from the Legends perspective. Let's face it, ML has a big base of fans, they didn't bring the line back because they knew it would fail. I continue to hope that a rep from Marvel or Hasbro or both would visit forums like this from time to time, even if it was just to say 'Hold on until October, we've got something coming up and we'll let you in on it then' kinda thing. It may be too much to ask from 'big toy' companies to care about much more than profit, but at the same time we are getting some really good figures sprinkled into the waves in the last while, and it can't be because they're not listening in somewhere, or everywhere lol. I'm personally not worried if we don't get a wave of figures from the Fantasic Four movie, or Dr.Strange or Antman and if we didn't get them from GotG it would have been ok with me too. I can see how FF can bring us some amazing figures, but do I want the 4 in movie version? - no. All I'd want is great comic versions of them and some of their awesome enemies. Would that happen? - no. DoFP figs would be great too, mostly, but where we are in the 'return' of ML is thin ice, at least for awhile. Hasbro and Marvel/Disney want to make products that will sell as much as possible, no peg warmers and they sure don't want their products ending up at TJMaxx etc. If the current boom in popularity continues we'll see more waves in a year, bodies will be updated etc etc. And if you look at the 'success' of the X-Men box set that fans were clammoring for, for a very long time, then you might have perspective on why they big companies aren't flooding every shelf in every store with ML's. Just so you know, like Dave Vonner said in that interview he did last August, this line was and is a dream come true for me, so I'd hate to see it over saturate or burn too brightly too soon this time around. What I'm also saying, is that it's far too early to worry too much. (I feel like I've said this before lol) sorry if this rant wasn't edgy lol |
