Maaaaaan after seeing the Arkham Knight Batgirl DLC trailer why'd they have to stop making 4 inch Multiverse figures before making a Batgirl? Total bummer.

I'd like to see what alternate dimension the lot o' ye are from where Walgreens carries current toys.

Walgreens here! There are at least 20 I can visit nearby.

Now now let's not feed the rumor fire. The have not said anything yet. There are still more days of SDCC left.

Mattel Panel is today 12pm PDT
Comic-Con 2015: Mattel Collector: MattyPalooza!

tlasjr 07-10-2015 05:05 AM

The pictures of the 4" multiverse display were in the Figures.com sdcc coverage. It was under Mattel dc. They have a separate bvs section, it's not in there. And I stand corrected it does look to
Like all of the figures previously shown were there again.

Maybe Mattel is right. The display case of figures and the display with the batmobile were next to the evergreen line but nobody felt aside from figures.com thought they were worth snapping a pic of.

Not familiar with figures.com, but the only Mattel SDCC thread I can find is He Man.

It's sad that this is the easiest way to find pics of the 3.75 line.

snake5289 07-10-2015 09:41 AM

Thanks mate.

Jay West 07-10-2015 09:56 AM

Thanks!

Ssstammerer 07-10-2015 10:45 AM

Welp, they are 6".. They should've considered us 4" collectors. I know SDCC isn't over but still..

thewriteguy 07-10-2015 11:59 AM

Yeah those are all 6" figs.

The fact that there will be a Batmobile for the 6" Bats feels like a bad omen regarding the possibility of 4" based on BvS.

I asked before, but have to ask (rhetorically I guess) again: Are 6" really that popular? It seems like Mattel, Hasbro and other companies love cranking out figures in this scale (and 7" is another). Why? At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro released a limited line of 4" scale for The Force Awakens, and what they release they do merely for the sake of tradition (e.g. expensive box sets only available as exclusive items at specific retailers for a very limited release window).

I suppose from Mattel, all we can continue to look forward to from them are Evergreen. And maybe DC Superhero Girls will have 4" scale -- Mattel have made Disney princess figures and playsets in this scale before. And then there's Funko, as I mentioned before.

It just sucks that for the adult collector, the only choice may be Funko. If they just decided to move away from the cheesy "retro" sculpting style, then maybe this would make things better.

I don't know about the 6 inch they seem to hang around like everything else. As much as I hate to admit if Funko would just sculpt things normally I might at least have an avenue for the scale I love. Are they really making more money sculpting Flash and Arrow figures in the retro style vs a modern style? I can't believe they are. I get it for Star Trek or Jaws or Aliens. I don't for Buffy, modern DC, or any other modern property.

Stopped by Walgreens and picked up Scarecrow. Scratch one more off the list.

vindowviper 07-10-2015 03:49 PM

Contrast the detail between these two Catwoman prototypes:

http://www.figures.com/gallery/data/24532/P1280544.JPG
Notice the hip joints. I could be wrong, but it also looks like a lot of the texture from the first Catwoman costume has been removed.

rustyrob 07-10-2015 04:14 PM

That joker below Catwoman looks the same size!!! But I doubt it :\

Was he hard to find in your area? He's the most common here next to Zod.

Speaking of which..

At TRU today they were selling Multiverseses for $16 something. Their website has them all for $9.99 each! But it was like $16.29 or something. And they were all 5 Zod!

No I've just been putting it off. The most common here seems to be Origins Joker which when I found I thought I hit the jackpot because I found him and Hush randomly one day when I was getting some allergy medicine.

I'm not really sure which one would be considered the hardest to find. I don't think I've ever seen Returns Catwoman before so that one I guess. And I saw Knight Harley once and have never seen it again.

I'm glad they are doing cat woman single carded... I did not want to buy that date night set just for her. So I guess there's nothing new so far. Hopefully they have something else.

I think the texture is hidden with the angle of lighting. But you maybe on to something about the hip joints. Can't tell really but they look like the only swivel forward and back (probably hindered by buttocks).

snake5289 07-10-2015 05:55 PM

I not really seeing any difference. But in my defense the second photo isn't as zoomed in as the first one.

Jay West 07-10-2015 06:58 PM

So is unmasked Batman and Arkham Penguin in the Deathstroke wave or are they after Deathstroke. Also when will Catwoman and Azbats show up? I remember when Marvel Legends did an exclusive Agent Venom at Walgreens you could order him individually at Walgreens.com. That'd be a nice way to get a few Selinass.

I'm looking at the SDCC pic of Catwoman on my iPad and when I expand the picture it appears as if the texture is still there.

Yes they are quite popular. Blame the return of the Marvel Legends line. Some say that the new line runner in Hasbro hates 3.75"/4" so they made a lot of 5 poa figures and a few MU's. Even Star Wars is slowly shifting to 6" with that Black Series... G.I. Joes being lessen in release and there are rumors that they'll be starting their 6" line as well. That being said, other toy companies will be in the bandwagon. Lol.

redfox 07-10-2015 07:29 PM

Glad to see they found a way to get Catwoman out to collectors. Really wanted a good 3.75 Catwoman figure. Now, if we could only get a Batgirl...

snake5289 07-10-2015 07:45 PM

^^ Agreed. Sucks that they made the Arkham Knight Batgirl DLC but now there more than likely won't be a figure of her to go with everybody else.

Updated the Batman set-up on top of my movie cabinet with my recent Multiverse pick-ups.

Sweet joker looks like a cross of three different versions to me.and the bane looks perfect way better than biker bane we got from mattel.

Thinking up a recipe for a young justice toon joker. For some reason while not my favorite joker he's one I still want. Probly because he was voiced by Data from star trek.
