Thanks. The reason I like doing the obscure characters is because I absolutely know for a fact that Mattel, Hasbro, Funko, Super 7 and such will never, ever, ever make them, so I don't have to worry about duplication after all of that effort. The problem I always seem to have is I finish the figure, it looks great in my hand, then I take a picture and put it up on the computer and all of a sudden I can see all of the paint flaws I have to go back and fix.

I'm just going to start making my own figs again. I did pretty well with my America Chavez but need to repaint her.

Does anyone have any recommendations for base bodies for the following X-characters: Monet, Pixie, Siryn, Bling? For Monet a Carol Danvers would make sense if she didn't have a mask in all of them. I kind of need straighter hair than the Psylocke fig has(why is her hair so curly in the first place?), maybe one of the older black widows? I want her to have a bit of muscle. not really sure what to use.

I'd really love an X Factor Investagation box set. That'd be at the top of everything for me. Esp. if it's got Polaris in it too.

You have a camera phone? If so take a quick pic once you think the custom is "done" and see what the pic shows. You can just delete it afterwards. I call it a 'flash test' since the flash will show you all the spots and spaces that you missed/cannot see with the naked eye. Quick and easy way to help you polish your work.

I don't know what your customizing skills are so can't offer too much advice (since I don't know what you can do) but for me I'd go with: a bigger fem body for Monet (she-hulk type); a standard mid-size body for Siryn (aurora) and a smaller body for Pixie/Blink (1st series fem body - though I hate them or Cap Marvel if you don't care about the limited articulation).

If it hasn't been changed since I joined it's 10 posts. So you should be able to post links with your next post.

I was hoping to be able to post my next batch this weekend but that's looking unlikely. Time is limited and the amount of sculpting I'm doing on these figures is insane! I've almost gone through half my sculpting compound and I got it not too long ago. And I've still got a bunch of sculpting left to do on a couple of them. Thankfully these are the last ones. Unless I go beyond my normal 8 per batch cap. There will be at least 1 more than normal. Debating if I want to go beyond that. Depends on time more than anything else.

By the way, fantastic paint job! And nice custom work swapping out those tiny arms and legs, too. Works much better than what they made for retail. Looking forward to what else you have to post.
