Wonder if they use the hood for a new Doctor Doom by the line.

i like all 5 of those figs shown.
i like the 'angry' head better for multiple man.
he's not 100% what i expected..but he'll do.

anyone else tired of that trenchcoat yet??...heh

frodotrout 10-05-2017 06:30 AM

as a long time collector of both the marvel legends scale and marvel universe scale figures hasbro has done, i can clearly see the reason why they are no longer making figures in the 3 3/4 in. scale, it appears they are re-releasing them all in 6" scale, that away to double dip hasbro, they definitely know how to make money

VashTS 10-05-2017 06:30 AM

Thanks for the pics gentlemen....looks great...well Multiman and Taskmaster.

Spidernoir is what we expected, somehow a bit disappointing to me. Maybe it is the guns...but I will buy definitely.

Captain Nash 10-05-2017 06:45 AM

Madrox YEAHHHH! I can knock someone out of my top 5 wish list. Though I would have preferred the more modern look (a rarity as I usually like classic looks or at least like classic and modern equally), I'm glad they at least included the non-capped head so we can do an in between.

Looks like that rumors for the wave are true if we're getting Gladiator and MM, then, which is not a bad thing. MM, Gladiator, Storm, Wolverine, Psylocke, Magneto and Sabretooth are overall a pretty strong wave.

Also I know others mentioned this in the past as well, but I can't see that this wave will be out next fall. I'm betting it will be pushed up to early summer 2018.

Augustus_Cole 10-05-2017 06:46 AM

There is a Walgreens screen shot showing Silver Surfer as a figure that will be in their stock at some point...butttt..i dont' know the validity of it so...

Trivial Psychic 10-05-2017 07:51 AM

The new announcements were a nice thing to wake up to this morning. Prowler (finally!) looks great, as do the effects for Psylocke. Looks like they cleaned up her headsculpt a bit. The new Widow looks great, really happy I didn't gave in for the kitbashed classic version, as the torso, head, and arms look to be new sculpts

Kinda perplexed to see the Nick Fury coat come back the way it has considering all of the other coats we have had since, but at least they are changing the figures underneath it, so that's a plus.

Did they give Spidey Noir laser guns? Sheesh Hasbro, did you lose the sculpts for the Misty Knight pistol? I'm gonna be grabbing two of hhim for sure, because one of them is being turned into a Blade for sure...

Dr Kain 10-05-2017 07:56 AM

Noir and Prowler are cool. Sadly that means no Demogoblin though.

Not sure why we need another Taskmaster so soon when they have yet to do more members of the Serpent Society (yes I know King Cobra is coming, but there is no law that says they can only do one member per wave).

Gladiator looks badass while I couldn't care less about Multiple Man. At least he is the X-Factor version from the 90s (or looks like it).

GizmoTron 10-05-2017 08:26 AM

Is Taskmaster a part of the Spider-Man Lizard wave then? Works for me, I'll gladly pick him up when I see him.

And thank you Hasbro for the unmasked head for Multiple Man. It's nice that X-Factor has not been forgotten and we get a figure that can represent different eras of the character.

Well my Walgreens computer does have a UPC for Silver Surfer already in it so it's likely accurate.

Bearjew 10-05-2017 08:42 AM

My thoughts: One I know the Wolverine (6") is a prototype but I really hope they paint the hair on his arm sculpts. If they don't it just looks weird. Like scars from a teenage self mutilating phase.
I also hope they go with brighter colors for Cable. It still looks good overall as a figure but the brighter colors that were reflected at SDCC looked MUCH better than the subdued colors that are displayed now. Maybe it was the lights at SDCC but these muted colors make it look too close to the last Cable figure.

That DEATHLOCK IS INCREDIBLE. I believe it may turn out to be the best figure out of the entire wave, early candidate of the year good. I was reading Wolverine Weapon X: Tomorrow dies today the other day with Deathlock and Wolverine....I may need a bunch of these for a Wolverine battle scene.
Terminator vs. Deathlock, that figure could be used for a lot.

The taskmaster figure looks really good. That head looks great, I may have to get the figure just for the head sculpt. That head sculpt repainted and placed on the Multiple man body would make a pretty good Redskull.

Why do the blades on the wolverines keep getting worse? Old Toybiz maybe, I don't remember, blue suit. Looked good, silver. Brown costume recent release, gray. X-23 clear plastic? Hasbro need to look at that issue

BAF Lizard, I still really like. I think it looks really cool with a newer realistic meets fiction take on the figure. However, now that we have some better pictures I am not sure how I feel about the head sculpt design when it comes to how it is assembled. I don't like how the head looks to be three different parts: base, top jaw and lower jaw. I guess we will have to see how it moves in order to see how effective that design is. It may have looked better with the neck and base as one piece and the lower jaw being hinged.

I guess I now understand why they won't give us proper X-Men movies. Becuase of people like you (no offense intended).

I'm not saying they can't have ones grounded in realism, but when they are all like that, it gets boring. Also, again, X-Men in realism is retarded. X-Men is anything but real. Captain America works in realism. Spider-Man does not. Iron Man works in realism. Fantastic Four does not. DareDevil works in realism. Blade does not.

I never said for you to go watch a Cartoon. And Yeah I Kinda Agree with you on the X-Men movies the ones now are dreadful there isn't a ounce of Fun to them. I was mainly saying I like the way The MCU does it they're still Grounded and Yet fun. Like Spiderman Homecoming this year had Realism to it and yet didn't take it self way too seriously which made it a Blast to watch. But Overall I like my Superhero Movies to Feel like they're set in the real world

Maybe the Avengers wave with Songbird and Cobra?

Hasbro is on point right now with Marvel Legends, I am in love with everything shown so far.

Boy Blunder 10-05-2017 09:18 AM

My boy Jamie! I'm with Nash on costume preference, but Jamie is in my top ten (maybe top five) X-Characters, so I am not gonna complain about him finally getting his 6" due. And multiple heads, thank you Hasbro. Definitely going to be getting a trio of him.

Gladiator... glad he's gonna hit retail, and will be picking him up for sure. Didn't have a burning desire for him, but he's an important part of X-Men history. Also I gotta pose him knocking the snot outta Juggy like the cartoon.

Prowler looks fan-friggin-tastic. I'm not certain if I'll be grabbing him or not, but I know a lot of you guys have wanted him, so I'm really glad you're getting a good one, and not a more phoned-in figure. Does he have some unique tooling to his torso? I don't recall seeing sculpted fabric stretch like that on any previous figures with that broad a chest, but I could just be having a brain fart moment.

Taskmaster... looks great, and definitely looks better than the Toy Biz one, but I think I'll be sitting him out. I got my Tasky from the Onslaught wave, and nothing beats the Udon-style head for me. But he's looking awesome, and if I was building an accurate MvC display, this would be the one to get.

Noir Spidey is another one I might not get, but he turned out pretty well. And thankfully, he doesn't look like his arms will look awkward if his coat is removed. I'm with Triv on the question of his handguns, but I don't follow him closely, so I don't know if he's got laser pistols in either his animated series appearances, or the Web Warriors comics. I don't know that using the Misty Knight/Elsa Bloodstone revolver would have been the best move, though, since it really looks oversized to me, but it might look better in his hands.

Psylocke's butterfly effect is perfect. Betsy's already looking at one of my top ten slots, and 2018 is still months away!

Also, it's nice to finally see Reed in the plastic flesh!

As always Kain you are right. The Bane in Batman and Robin was excellent. So were the rest of the characters in that movie. The director's conversion of comic villain to movie worked so well in that movie probably makes it the best Batman movie ever made, right up there with bat nipples and bat skates.

The ban visual in that movie was good for Bane but it just doesn't translate that was the problem with all the other characters in that movie. When you attempt to translate exact comic material into a realistic movie it becomes comical, like that movie.
Nolan's movie was far superior because of his translation of the character and the removal of the character from comic similarities. That Bane was great, so was the movie even with some obvious character plot shortfalls. Can't win them all.

I made this same exact point a few months ago. The film was great, however, it didn’t live up to others expectations. It is what it is, seeing as all film is subjective.

He's part of the Infinity War wave with Songbird and King Cobra.

SymbiSpidey 10-05-2017 10:29 AM

So ten bucks says they use that Multiple Man for a future Gambit figure.

I gotta say I'm kind of unimpressed with the Spider-Man wave. The only must gets of that wave for me are Prowler, Mysterio and Lizard (who, of course, WOULD be the BAF). Spider-Man Noir is kind of cool I guess but I'm just burnt out on all of these Spiderverse figures.

The X-Men and Deadpool waves, however, I'm ALL in.

Could be worse.

Could be "Arctic Attack" variations on Spidey, like the old 5" lines :D

We'll be getting it at least once more with Gambit. I really do hope Multiple Man is the figure without a BAF piece

Can anyone tell how the butterfly attaches to Psylocke's head?

Boy Blunder 10-05-2017 10:51 AM

Magic.

Movies that I thought most approached what I'd want to see from super-flicks on a more regular basis:

Doctor Strange (they just couldn't close the deal and go al the way with Dormmamu)

Thor: The Dark World

Guardians of the Galaxy

Hellboy

Hellboy 2: The Golden Army

Watchmen (Dr Manhattan was awesome...but yeah, put some pants on, dude)

Great vid...and triple "word."

Reveals:

Jaime: cool, but I prefer the costume and head of cancelled prototype.

Taskmaster: ok, but I'm not super impressed...I'll buy it,

Prowler: looks better than I thought it would and I'm looking forward to it.

Gladiator: I was hoping they'd give him pupils this time around.

Spider Man Noir: I just don't care for Spidey people outside the original Parker and Miles. Also, why does the fig have ray-guns? I thought the character existed in the 30's?
