Scythe 08-06-2012 02:07 AM

Yeah, I was reading that. Finished it, came on here, saw you post that, was all like: Did we just read at the same time?!?!

fallen69lee04 08-06-2012 02:12 AM

lol, great minds think alike brotha! lol

Scythe 08-06-2012 02:17 AM

What the- You were really reading it?

fallen69lee04 08-06-2012 02:21 AM

digital sub, didnt read it just took a quick peek lol for some ideas on a custom base plate i want to do for my gambit, while the subject was about him.

Scythe 08-06-2012 02:44 AM

Hahaha, I was about to say. LEE'S WATCHING ME. That'd be weird, if like, you were watching me read a comic, and some other dude, I don't know, prolly Squirtlesquad was watching you watching me, but then like, Peteparker was watching Squirtlesquad watching you, watching me, and then all of a sudden, Snowflakian was watching Peteparker watching Squirtle watching you watching me, and you know what, Lee? My grammar and sentence structure sucks.

fallen69lee04 08-06-2012 02:51 AM

lol

Scythe 08-06-2012 03:13 AM

Possible true story.

So after picking up the MOE 3-pack off HTS just for the hell of it...I was pleasently surprised at how much I enjoy the 3 figures (Zemo in particular).

What I did NOT enjoy though was Zemo's curiously free floating sock/mask/neck piece which slid up to his chin every time I tried to do anything with him.
So today I swung by Wal-mart and snagged these little acid-free "sticky dots" from the craft aisle and put one on his chest and one right between the shoulder blades, pressed both sides firmly and Voila!, Zemo is fixed! ;D

And from what I can tell the dots come right off if need be and shouldn't permanently mark or mar the figure in any way, so don't worry about that.

Either way, I just figured I'd post this tip for anyone who is interested. :)

See my problem w/ Zemo is he can't hold either of his weapons.

Apoc has the ability to grow that big at least he did in the Animated Series

IIRC, it was always a mix of both. Though I think the comics leaned more on Apocalypse. It's hard to remember for certain with how long ago the Morlock Massacre was. I think that's what keyed it off iirc.

The 90s tas it was Sinister who created Archangel for apocalypse, and iirc that's part of where WatX was going to head too eventually.

in the Animated Series it was always Apoc who transformed Archangel with the help of a disquised Mystique

This is why Angel hates Apocalypse so much. For deceiving and brainwashing him. And then turning him against his friends. Archangel is a bad-ass!

Angel was ready to kill himself which is why his plane was blown, and yeah Apoc was behind his transformation

Gambit was traded something if I remember for his helping lead the Mauraders into the morlock tunnels but let's be real he waited quite awhile for that stuff to come out so he isn't completely innocent. Sarah was the name of the morlock he saved and she grew up to be Marrow of Gene Nation

Completely unrelated, ummm, I gave my Zemo Taskmaster's sword, now he has two matching swords. Yey.

Yeah that was pretty lazy of Hasbro. Still a killer set, and easy enough to find weapons that fit his hands from other figures, but cmon Hasbro. It's not even like they almost fit.

Tiger Shark ended up being my favorite figure from that set. Zemo is great and all, but I expected him to be. TS was a pleasant surprise.

Ts scale bothered me but he is awesome when I look at the box art I can't help but wonder what if radioactive man had that mold instead clear green and the tunic would fit now that would've been awesome

AA is badass. The 90s animated series was a great throwback for me for Apocalypse and AA in my display so I wanted to go with him in this scale. He's also this HUGE in the capcom's X-Men vs Street Fighter game.

Fallen: that stand is badass. You are the best when it comes to those nice custom stands.

Quake hold fixes that and the tunic problem. It is annoying how MU figures have a hard time holding the weapons they come with though.

On another note: I should be getting my BBTS order in today. SOOO excited!!!!

The card swipe of shame, lol. I've done that before for stuff like Con exclusives or something on sale but only if I could pay it off a few weeks later.

Eh, my figures supplier just sent a message that Hasbro delayed shipping of the rest of Wave 18 to October. So those of us who did not get their assortment will have to wait a little bit. On the other hand Wave 19 should be out this month, possibly within a week or two.

Congrats bro. I still prefer the SW Doom - my very first MU!

I bought the CP back in the day when all I collected were GI Joe. I remember saying "just this one."

Ha. Yeah right.

BigHanksCustoms 08-06-2012 08:49 AM

Yaaaaayy! Finally found a Black Widow! Passed on a translucent Iron Spidey.

shortysben 08-06-2012 09:02 AM

So, as I was asking for the new MU TRU packs at TRU, the store manager referred me to the "marvel guy", so I asked the "marvel guy" when the new TRU 2-packs would arrive...

He told me he didnt think there were new MU TRU 'sclusive 2 packs coming out, he knew about the new "6 pack"...

TRU proves WORTHLESS again...

Anyfuckingways...anyone be down to trade a doom/spidy pack for a colossus FO Juggs 2-pack?

shortysben 08-06-2012 09:25 AM

Appreciation for the day!

I give you Uncanny X-Force, and the Ultimates!
