^ C.H.U.D. !!! Nice pickup. Same goes for Hellraiser 1 and 2. They make for a great double feature.

I was hoping this would be the end all Voyager Screamer, but due to some curious design decisions by Hasbro that severely cripple his articulation and loadout options, he actually ends up falling short to Seige Tetra Scream. Still a good looking classic Scream, and his transformation is delightful and familiar, as it's nearly identical to the classic TF Universe seeker mold. |

I found the NECA ultimate Pinhead at Target today. They had a few so I was able to sort through and pick the best, only a couple had any notable issues. Visually they did a great job and even though he's mostly one color you can still appreciate a lot of the fine sculpted details. On the subject of colors I really like the subtle purple visible on his torso and legs, although obviously his skirt hides the legs. Given that he's done in the 7" scale I think the pins came out as well as they could have. I found it easy to switch the heads which is good since I definitely prefer the angry "we'll tear your soul apart!" sculpt, it looks a little closer to Doug and they did a really good job with his teeth. Everything moves pretty well on mine and the elbow bend is particularly appreciated. For accessories he just has the two configurations of the puzzle box and his three tools. My only QC error shows up here as the straight knife is missing its little hook to hang it with the others, that's only a minor inconvenience for me though as I can make a hook out of wire. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...ac845cb1_b.jpg Also at Target I picked up the NECA '64 Godzilla figure. I saw some when they first came out in December and was seriously impressed but passed on it because of all of the other things I was looking for at that time. Of course then they were totally sold out by the time I went back in January, but now my Target finally got more in so this time I was able to scoop him up. Except for the atomic breath not really holding in his mouth all that well I really dig it, just an all around excellent Godzilla toy. Definitely got my fingers crossed to see NECA handle the '68 Destroy All Monsters version with this level of class. |

Got the Storm Collectibles GoW Kait. Basically she's overall as great as Cole but there's some trade-offs. So right off the bat she looks great as is expected from Storm. There's lots of small sculpted details on her armor and the paint details are all well done. Articulation wise she's as loaded as any of Storm's other offerings but due to her armor design some of it gets limited. Her suit's fur collar piece restricts her head from looking up basically at all but she still gets good side-to-side and downward motion in the neck. Her shoulder pads though only barely inhibit movement since they are flexible and there's not a lot of reason to have her arms up terribly high anyway. Otherwise everything moves freely enough and she can get into various battle-ready or more relaxed poses. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...538e7841_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...cd5092bb_b.jpg Accessories include the new Lancer rifle, Gnasher shotgun, the Talon pistol, two alternate heads, her Locust pendant, and an assortment of alternate hands. The alt heads are her basic head but with an orange snow-visor and her Gears 4 head with her hat even though that doesn't make a ton of sense being included with her Gears 5 winter suit. One feature I really like from the alternate heads is that you can actually interchange her full ponytail for the shorter tucked-in version on her visor head, it's just a nice feature to have that option. I did have some warping on my Lancer and Gnasher out of the box where the Lancer's barrel was skewed and then the Gnasher was just all kinds of warped. It didn't take very long to fix with a hairdryer but considering this is a premium priced import figure it's a tad annoying to have to deal with. The one accessory I feel is notably missing would be her knife which is particularly unique to her character since it's her mother's broken sword so I can't just give her Cole's knife to fill the gap. Overall I really do like this figure, especially being a Gears fan who missed the boat on the NECA line and even then NECA could never have done Kait since they lost the license after Judgment. Like I said earlier she's as good as Cole but where he has more range to his articulation I do think Kait has just slightly better accessories. Scale wise she lines up about right being basically the same height as Marcus (going off of other reviews) but shorter than Cole. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...564faec3_b.jpg |
