BvS has more nominations than that, but they're largely from things like the Kids Choice Awards or the Teens Choice Awards, where any big blockbuster that's even remotely marketed towards kids or teens is at least gonna get nominated.

Suicide Squad's Oscar was for the makeup and hairstyling. That doesn't make the film good.

you don't know what you're talking about.

I can't agree there at all. They couldn't even get Superman right and turned him into some mopey, angsty, idiot who learned absolutely nothing from the last movie.

snyder = modern day stanley kubrick
Oh god, it hurts, the pain. Do you hate Kubrick so much that you would compare him to some wretched low life like Snyder? Snyder got lucky with the Dawn of the Dead remake, managed to make Watchman decent, and had a cool gimmick in 300 that made the movie good for the first 4 viewings and then you realized how much it sucked afterwards.

Kubrick had The Killing, Dr Strangelove, The Shining, and A Clockwork Orange. There is no comparison. Those four movies are some of the greatest movies ever made and comparing them to Snyder's best work, makes Snyder's movies look like pieces of dogshit. It also doesn't help that Snyder likes to remove all color from his films.

I like Blade, but it is not even a movie I think about that often. Its sequels were so bad they also kind of diminshed the film for me.

Suicide Squad was clearly a paid for trophy. It beat out Star Trek, which used make up for their characters rather than making them look like whores.

I am confused as to how Star Trek lost that one.

More than likely WB paid for it. However, it could just be that one of the judges saw Suicide Squad and none of the others and said, "Let's go with Suicide Squad because I watched that one."

Then again, since they accidentally gave the Best Movie award to La La Land only to change their minds and give it to Moonlight, the whole awards thing was shown to be a farce regardless.

I don't know if anyone is interested but I saw those Vintage style Marvel Legends at multiple Walgreens today. They had black widow, punisher spiderman and Iron man. I have no interest in them. They also had a ass load of Helas I saw at least 6 of them through 8 stores

Tim 10-08-2017 09:41 AM

And @Kain Kubrick also had the greatest 2001 a space odyssey

Glad to hear the Vintage wave is leaking out. Going to have to check my local Walgreen's now. Thanks for the heads-up!

I'm definitely interested in all of them, except Wolverine. I decided to get back into the comic Marvel Legends (mainly classic style figures). After seeing what Hasbro has plan I had to go back on my word and it started with my all time favorite team...The Fantastic Four. I absolutely love my Invisible Woman and Human Torch. I cannot wait for Mr. Fantastic, and The Thing.

I actually don't understand the love for that movie, at least outside of a visual perspective. Yes, visually it is a masterpiece, but so was Birdman. I find 2001 to be so long, drawn out, and down right boring. It and Eyes Wide Shot are the only two Kubrick movies I just can not sit through.

No problem at all! Yeah i would have picked them up but I am strictly MCU and Spiderman related on Marvel legends.

I made a jungle Dio earlier in the yr due to having caught NECA Predator fever & buying Preds, but then soon after, I sold them off due to them being too fragile to actually play/pose and parts/weapons being brittle, not to mention, pricey.. So being that I was finally able to order BP on line last week for $27 shipped & I have the classic 1st app Sabretooth, I figured a jungle battle scene would be a prefect setting for those 2. It's beyond me that these 2 have never met & fought in the comics. Would be a hell of a fight.

I like that matchup. I'm really hoping for a classic Sabretooth in the Apocalypse wave.

That Apocalypse wave can't come quick enough! I guess the Deadpool wave will help with the sting of waiting for it to release, though. Also really hoping we see another X-men two-pack for 2018!!

What? Already? Thanks for the heads up... thought I was done visiting Walgreens for a while, but I guess the hunt continues.

Marvel and DC did a 4 issue Marvel vs. DC mini series and then did a merged universe called Amalgam. There were Mashups of lots of characters. Super Solder Cap and Superman and Storm and Wonder Woman. Each company published 1/2 of the One-shot issues. There were a few more attempts before they called it quits.

Boy Blunder 10-08-2017 03:37 PM

Yeah, if you're interested in more, look up Amalgam Comics.
