you don't know what you're talking about.

The Razzies unfortunately also suffers from politics. For example, they avoided nominating a certain remake/sequel/re-quel from the 80's, that changed the genders of the 4 main characters due to political correctness.

Shame though as I enjoy honesty and pure unbridled humor without consequence or fake outrage,

...Are you sure that was the reason, or was it just because it wasn't that terrible? Like, sure, it was far from great, but it wasn't quite bad enough to get nominated among the likes of BvS, TMNT: Out Of The Shadows, Alice Through The Looking Glass, Fifty Shades Of Black, Independence Day: Resurgence, or Zoolander 2. In fact, given they seem to have had 6 nominations that year instead of their normal 5, I don't think they were """excluding""" Ghostbusters for """""""political correctness""""""".

lordbest 10-08-2017 07:47 PM

Yeah, if you have to blame political correctness for something, you don't actually have an argument.

it was nominated the previous year and won!

don't know what movie you saw but they didn't change the genders, just the race of one of the characters. also the original came out in the 90s, not the 80s.

They was talking about Ghostbusters.

But Ghostbusters wasn't even that bad. It's not a good movie by any means, but it was far better that it should have been. I can tell you 20 movies that came out last year that were worse than it. Batman vs Superman, Suicide Squad, The Darkness, La La Land, X-Men Apocalypse, Trolls, The 5th Wave, Fifty Shades of Black, Price Prejudice and Zombies, Gods of Egypt, Allegiant, Huntsman, Alice Through the Looking Glass, Neon Demon, Warcraft, Legend of Tarzan, Jason Bourne, The Killing Joke, and Assassin's Creed.

Just to be clear, you're talking about Fant4stic right? I use the stupid Fant4stic name to differentiate it from the other versions.

This thread is kinda going off the rails a bit here so I say we implement self-control before things really get out of hand and a mod has to step in.

On topic, I saw the Walgreens Human Torch in person. Not a fan of how it came out. The only one of the F4 I would probably get anyway would be Ben and he hasn't even been officially confirmed yet to my knowledge. I will be bummed if Silver Surfer turns out to be any kind of exclusive, we've been waiting too damn long for that figure to happen and it feels like a character that even without exclusivity as a factor would be scalped.

I thought from the promo images that I wouldn't like The Human Torch, but in person and out of package, the figure really grabs me. I'm curious, did you pass on The Invisible Woman as well?

They have officially confirmed Ben; first at either SDCC or Hascon with a drawing during their presentation slideshow, and then more recently someone spoke to a Hasbro representative at NYCC I think(?), who said Ben would be a completely new sculpt.

Dr Kain 10-09-2017 07:44 AM

Yeah, I can't wait to have a full team. On one hand, it kind of makes me want to get Blackbolt and Medusa, but then I think about how I don't care for Inhumans, so I would probably end up buying themf or $20 only to sell them off in five years in a lot and make maybe $1 on each one.

I put the head from the toy biz human torch from the box set on it and it makes it look much better.

Man, I'd love to take advantage of TRU's sale this week (BOGO 40% off all Marvel toys) but, you know, they STILL haven't held onto a Dark Phoenix/Cyclops two-pack for long enough for me to even see one, when they get them in stock at all.

I'm just glad the Spidey/MJ pack is being held for us elsewhere.

Dr Kain 10-09-2017 10:17 AM

So it looks like Punisher is the dud of the Netflix wave. My Walmart had 9 of him yesterday and no one else. TRU had 13 of him.

He and Daredevil are the double-packs of the wave, but even then, he lingers more than the rest. Every Walmart here has at least two, at least the ones that even have the wave.

Yep, they all have wonky eyes. Sometimes the scans just don't work for some actors.

Spider-Boy figure when?

The things I would do for some officially-produced Amalgam figures... even just a single wave of the top-tier characters. Super Solder, Dark Claw, Spider-Boy, Amazon... if only.

I did pass on her but not for the same reasons I passed on Johnny. I thought she looked good and they had a lot when I found her but I didn't have the spare cash to pick her up at the time and at this point I'm fine without her. Like I said I'll pick up Ben if he looks good and that'll be it for the F4. F4 villains or related characters are a different story, Super Skrull, Dr Doom, and Silver Surfer would be definite pick-ups. I've expressed my hopes that Surfer won't be exclusive but with Hasbro you can never tell when they're gonna be dicks like that.

So my buddy grabbed this for me . I received him in the mail last week friday. While he isn't hard to find, most new legends are damn near impossible to find here in south florida.

I hope you like him. Beetle is one of my favorite figures of this year, even though he's very basic.

Also hope you got one with good joints, given the problems others have seen in him.

Dude that’s awesome, I love the graphics on the venom pool box!

Is the x force DP going to be a regular release now?

Thanks amigo! The X-Force DP will not be a regular release but, maybe down the line we will see him as part of a wave with a new card.

Nice score 3233rafael. The figure and packaging look pretty good. Glad I ordered one.
