I re-read DC vs. Marvel recently, it gets nitpicked for being a popularity contest a lot but the series holds up as a lot of fun, too. And a nice time piece about just how different 90's Marvel was compared to today. |
Raf... how did you get the Gamestop Deadpool already???

Man... I missed out on raf sparring with Internet Smart Guy... :D
So, guys, I'm not big on the Toy Biz Legends releases, but our local guy got a ton of loose figures recently to resell, including a Toy Biz ML Blackheart. Anyone who owns him, what are your thoughts on him? Is he worth a pick-up, even for someone who prefers the Hasbro construction/aesthetic? With the Man-Thing BAF release, it makes me wonder what the chances of a newer Blackheart might be... ...but I would love to own a Blackheart either way. One step closer to a full Capcom Marvel roster. Quote:

On the other hand, I can see us not getting him done by Hasbro just because he's relatively obscure (even though he's son of Mephisto and one of GR's main enemies.) I honestly would say 50/50 on him, I know that's not much help, so I guess it depends on how much you really like the character. Having Hela, MS Memphisto, Satana and Dormuumuu really helps that I have him as it adds another Hell Lord (or offspring of) to that list. Why can't we get a Pluto or Satannish....well I understand why not the latter but at least the former... I miss 90's Marvel too. Even though I got into the X-Men in the late 80's, and Claremont is my favorite writer, I absolutely love the "extreme-ness" of the 90's. It was my favorite era and I gobbled up all the gimmicks, it was better than any other decade barring the original Claremont X-Men run which is always tops in my book. Maybe it's because of where I was at in my life there - late teens-early 20's, college etc I just really grew up life wise and totally got into the angst of the decade. Same for music lol. |

went to this TRU that i was referred to by another fellow collector/my barber. this TRU was quite big. i did see groot, EX NIHILO, jackal, deathlok but none of those interest me. the only thing that i did see that i liked was Mad balls and the new Neca chucky figure. the transformers section was lame, no masterpieces. gonna go to Tate's on saturday morning cus they are gonna have a Halloween tent sale so the figs should have good prices that day.
