I hit the jackpot at a TRU yesterday as well! 2 cases worth on the shelf.
Ended up putting 4 of the packs on layaway. And yes the bogo 40% off works if you are putting them on layaway.

Found the vintage Widow at the first Walgreens I checked, nothing at the other 6 I hit looking for Punisher.

Wow, phantom,I checked today at my break at nada here in NY, May I ask your state?

RoboSnuf 10-12-2017 12:27 PM

An AoA wave would be great, but I doubt we'll see it unless they revisit it in a big comic event. -Maybe- an exclusive box set with a few from those lists - but we'd probably get stitched with redos of AoA Wolvie and Sabes.

Thanks to all for the thoughts on Tabby. I think I've got a pair of XMC X-treme Rogue glasses somewhere. They were already red. I'll see if I can find them...

I've not cracked my recent figs open yet so can't post a pic of the Jean head on Widow right now - but I'll make sure I do as soon as I open them.

Seeing as how I don't have ANY Hydra Agents, I don't see a problem with this set.

im not interested in this pack either...

Dr Kain 10-12-2017 02:00 PM

Hey wait a minute, one of those Hydra agents looks different. Is the skinny one's vest in the package behind him?

Lol...actually, mine and wherever Phantomcrow bought his. He even put some in layaway so there must have been more at his store.

RoboSnuf 10-12-2017 02:44 PM

So I found X-treme Rogue's specs - and I don't think they work too well on Bobby. They'd need some trimming...

Anyway, I'm now thinking that Hope's hair repainted might actually be the answer here. Maybe on Bobby's head. With Elsa's jacket. Now I need a spare Hope. To eBay!

Can't blame Hasbro 100%. It's pretty close to the design of the Hydra Brute skin from some Avenger's Initiative game that it is based-off of. Seems to be an interpretation of the Hydra Brute character pre-rage monster.

Nice to see that more people are finding them in the wild. Think I'm going to try my luck Saturday.

Good luck with Tabitha. Sounds like you've got a good plan. Can't wait to see the results!

Thanks for thinking of us, but don't rush. Enjoy your figs!:D

Great find! Was that the Nolan Rd, Overland Park, or Olathe Toys R Us?

VashTS 10-12-2017 06:11 PM

I am going to give it my best shot to find these on the East coast. I want these badly as I love extra heads for customizing. I have so much parts and fodder and this is actually very handy to me. I like the idea of distinct bodies for army builders.

I am a big fan of artist specific work also. I LOVED that old Toybiz Spidey Classics for all their distinct Spidery sculpts representing specific artists work.

Kansas City Missouri and surrounding areas.

Stopped by our local guy's shop today, and between the wife and I, we went a little whole hog.

I would suspect Nolan since the other two seem to always be behind them on stock. Olathe is so hit and miss it's pathetic. They FINALLY had the creepy face Groot exclusive about a month ago.

Noland Rd. Panther , you in KC also?? that make about a half dozen Arkers in this area.

But it was Berry Rd that was putting up this big Tamashi display.

Pravus Prime 10-12-2017 06:42 PM

I still haven't seen the Thor/Valkyrie 2-pack in the wild, but at this point it doesn't matter. I went and did a store pickup. A family member as a belated gift purchased it for me and added me to the authorized pickup at the location closest to me, so I ran out and did my first ever store pickup, easy peasy.

Valkyrie is better then I was expecting, her cape is part of the mold unlike everyone else in the Ragnarok wave and my Thor is super tight with a great deco.

I wasn't expecting the lightning effect to be so soft. There are lots of options for that, both now and in the future. Unlike so many pics, my Heimdall sword is very straight. On the downside, Valkyries got a "mismatched" hand set; one hand is very open and too wide for the sword, but fine for the scabbard or for, say regular Thors swords. The other hand is very closed and just holds her fine little blade.

Whoa, Tamashii at TRU? Very interesting. From the photo the pricing looks to be pretty standard which is nice.

Lol...Thanks! Yeah, come on down my friend! I've got about 40 DP's but of course a lot of them are doubles.

Nice! That's mostly what I collect now! Mine has the figures for sale but not the display...very nice!

Yes. You're the reason I was able to find the Spider-Man Homecoming 2 pack at the Overland Park TRU. I can't remember if I posted thank you or not.

Ugh, I'm trying to purge myself of the MCU Legends, but figures like Hela and Valkyrie are making this really, really hard!!:p

The only things I've picked up at the Olathe TRU were a few Nick Fury/SHILED Agents. For such a big store, not a lot of legends to chose from...strange.

I felt the same way about comic figures, but it's too much good stuff out here.

Archangel 10-12-2017 07:12 PM

I can't wait to get that Black Widow and put the Scarlet Johansson head on that body.
