After visiting four Walgreen's, I only found them at one and they only had Iron Man & Black Widow. Both figures were stacked on top of each other on an overhead shelf near the toy section. I almost didn't see them.

For the KC area, nothing at Olathe or 95th. The manager at 95th told me their warehouse has 380 in stock and he even made a space but they have not been sent to them yet.

Thank you very much for that.

Tomax 10-14-2017 08:43 PM

damn, i just sold a juggernaut BAF head and it sold in 15 mins, no lie.

I've always been more of a Mcfarlane fan with his style of spidey. However as for all the new spider figures i can't talk badly. im a fan of all costume variants and end up getting them all.

Dr Kain 10-14-2017 09:42 PM

I went to 6 Walgreens today and not a single one of them even had a price tag for the vintage line to tell me they are even floating around.

At least I managed to get this guy:

I have no idea who that even is. Thanks though.

The Torch should be the same damn flame color every time he flames on. Stop making excuses for a error on Habsros part. All they had to do was make the figure based on this statue and we would have had the best version of the Torch in 6' scale.

Um okay, but we aren't talking about comic art, we are talking about a figure. No Human Torch figure will EVER be 100% identical to the comic art. It's impossible because the flame is always in a different position.

Also, it's not an error on Hasbro's part when he was even revealed to be that way originally.

I would say probably not. The hand on the left is from the Pizza Spidey and the hand on the right is from the Spidey/MJ 2 pack. The peg style changed to the one on the right starting with the Ben Reilly Spiderman and it's remained this way ever since. Even the SDCC version couldn't use the alternate hands from Pizza Spidey due to the peg style changing.

That's not entirely true. I was easily able to fit the Pizza hands on the SDCC Spidey. It just required putting more pressure on them to fit them in and had I not planned to sell that Spidey off, the pegs would have shaped themselves for the Pizza hands.

Just a quick pic, Thor 2-pack with his awesome soft lightning effect; since I did a case for the regular release, I took one of the Gladiator Thor capes and cut off the cape, leaving the fastner.

I'm pretty sure that Torch's head was intentional, because it was meant to have a light piping effect. Hold the figure up to a light, and you get a nice, two tone effect that looks great, thanks to the brighter head and the contrasting, darker, neck peg showing through underneath.

Nice to see Hasbro porting this trick over from their Transformers...

Yikes...the neck on that vintage Widow is huge. That's one figure that could be better with a little dremeling...

I also noticed that to some extent with the partially-translucent-haired-head for Dark Phoenix; put any light source behind it and the translucent tips light up really nicely.

It's important to note that, in the pictures I assume you're looking at (redfox's), the "normal" head from Dark Phoenix has been put on the figure, and it sits higher on the neck than the head that actually came with it does.

I went down to Richmond, VA to see the Foo Fighters concert last night. Had some time before the show and this morning to go out hunting. I picked up Adam Warlock at Walmart in Spotsylvania. Almost picked up Gamorra. I really wanted to find Death's Head. I left Gamorra. At Target in Central Park in Fredericksburg, found the Thor Valkyrie 2pack. Thor looks great but as a Thor fan from Walt Simonson 's run in the 1980s, that is not Valkyrie for me. Valkyrie is a beautiful Nordic Woman. They had 4 on the shelf is anyone in NOVA is looking for it. Walmart at Central Park had the full Thor movie wave.

I found them hanging on pegs at the front of the aisle but separate from the rest of the action figures. At the very front corner of the toys/

^^^Those are some great looking shelves!

Weapon X 10-15-2017 12:11 PM

Can't tell if I'll be buying that 2 pack. Might have to wait until I see Ragnarok to see what I think of Valkyrie.

In other news, I found Unworthy Thor the other day. Now all I need is Jane Foster to complete my Hulk.

Unless someone has her BAF pieces and wants to part with them...:D

JCarterVA 10-15-2017 01:44 PM

Come to Northern Virginia. I've seen at least 20 Jane Foster Thors.

It's actually just a straight-up repainted Mary Marvel (...or unpainted, as the biggest change was wiping all the yellow from her dress) I like MJ a little more "High-School" looking vs the Sexy SuperModel, so I stuck with my custom after getting the official version...
