Hells yeah! How do you like that playset? I watched a review the other day and thought it looked pretty cool.

My only issue is, it’s 2 sided. So one side is hidden.lol lots of fun my son loved it. We have it displayed so he can play with it as well.

Haha Seriously man. Very impressive. So much good shit in here. I see you have those cars from the Shadow. I picked those up to use with my Batman Animated figures. And so pissed I didn’t buy Gray Ghost when I had the chance.

The shadow cars are great. I use the one for Bruce Wayne, and the taxi for two-face.

I even have the shield for the toybiz batmobile.

The metro car is part of the Gotham city transforming batmobile playset. It’s a giant batmobile that flips open for the 5” figure series. Really an awesome piece done for the Nolan trilogy. I think it was a toysrus exclusive, bat I can’t remember.

First Target I go to this morning and BAM!! right in the face.... Casey Jones and Metelhead...AND... Cobra Trooper.

Now there were 2 Casey and I left the other for the next collector. I even took the one that had the package all dinged up on one corner. And this was even a recently remodeled Target that cut their collectables down to 8 feet. I also got the mini Defender arcade machine for 4$ on clearance at Wal Mart, a mini Kool-Aid game on clearance at another Target. Was in such a good mood I bought the Hopper "Dad Bod" figure ( he was on sale), and then to top it off .....went to a Vintage Stock and the new SW Black figures were there , so I bought Kit Fisto.

Now I can already hear some saying I took all the Cobra troopers, nope, I took 4 and left the other 2 for the next collector. The Target guy was super cool , because I was cool , never raised my voice, and showed him the post about not having a street date from Hasbro, he checked the dcpi that I had and no street date was in the computer. So he went in back and found them for me , I thanked him very much and went about my day to get comics. I even hit a few other Targets and found another whole case on the pegs at a Target across town..

Over all a pretty fantastic day of toy hunting. Even had my Green Ranger pack from Dorkside waiting for me when I came home.

They are out there guys and gals, be kind, be patient, and maybe you might just have a Gremlin in your house.

Quality of employees at Targets certainly varies. I just was at Target and asked an employee about it, and he said he's been getting calls all day about GIJoes, but street date is the 14th. I said it's the 1st now and he said "no, it's the 14th". So, you lucked out.

The fact that toys even have street days is shady as shit to me. I get it if they are a movie based line, but there is no GI Joe movie coming out. These are not a movie based line. As far as I'm concerned, saying a toy line has a street date is just the store wanting an excuse to be lazy.

Damn! Nice find. I need 3 Cobra Troopers badly. I doubt I'll be as lucky with them as I have been with NECA. That said, if anyone wants to trade me 3 troopers for a Casey/Raph 2 pack, hit me up.

Idk. I think Joes are probably going to be fairly common in the wild, but that 2 pk could continue to have availability issues... but, you know, if you're feeling generous... ;)

Damn, If I thought those troopers would still be there I would do that in a heartbeat. I have had ZERO luck finding the Casey Raph pack at Wal Mart.
I would almost give up my troopers now for that.

And sometimes it is not about making a buck on someone. I pick up toys and comics for people all the time and I charge them straight cost. I don't even charge gas or nothing cause I was out and about anyway. I help who I can, I'm not in the HOBBY to make some big bucks. I could do that all day every day if I wanted with all the stuff I see in the wild. I could have bought every Cobra Trooper I saw this week , and flipped them on ebay , but I'm just not like that. If I know someone is hunting and I have the funds to help and I know they will pay me back , I am all for helping out a collector.

Hell, I even had a friend help me out a few months ago as well with that damn Grey Black Widow figure, he was out on a job ( he is a landscaper) and found a couple at a Wal Mart 50 miles away from my hunting grounds. Texted me and asked, and I was like hell yes, grab me 2 if you can and text me what I owe you. I got him money that afternoon and he dropped them off that night. I honestly don't understand all the hostility in this hobby anymore. But I am a pretty Zen kinda individual.

Ah…I thought you meant a net loss for the person with the Joes. I am feeling generous, I guess, because I'd make a trade even up for those in a heartbeat.

@Phantomcrow My thoughts exactly. I ended up with a second set because my friend found one 4 hours away and grabbed it for me, not knowing I also got lucky.

I mean it’s no life changing amount of money but imho you could stick your NECAs on ebay, purchase vipers online, and still be ahead, but there’s something to be said for helping a fellow fan get something they would have trouble finding or not be able to afford at aftermarket prices. I do some trading on here, so I don’t want to seem like some miserly asshole... I hope people I’ve dealt with think the opposite :D

I don't know, first the JOes have to actually show up in physical stores as a whole.

Only time will tell. Duke, Scarlett, & Roadblock seem easy enough to find now, and Destro and Snake Eyes are not too crazily expensive yet so I’m sure they’re still creeping into stores. Distribution just has to catch up with the more recent releases which were only announced, what, a couple weeks ago maybe?

But this set of Joes: Cobra Trooper, Beachhead, Baroness with bike and Roadblock are Target Exclusives. Cobra Trooper being a troop builder means everyone's going to want more than 1. Target's been terrible about having their exclusives in stock lately: Carbonized Mandalorian, Red Hulk, Transformers Skywarp and Thundercracker 2-pack to name a few. The exception being the White Black Widow. So like you said, time will tell. But I'm leaning more toward Cobra Troopers are going to be hard to find and fetch some good money down the line.

Duke, Scarlett, Roadblock, and Snake-Eyes were revealed months ago though. I thought stores were supposed to start carrying these back in May or June.
