Oh crap, that’s right, it’s Target. I take back everything I said. Get any you can and hoard the living hell out of them in case you need to pay a loved one’s ransom some day. Godspeed, folks.

Looks like everyone's striking luck. Here's my Walmart hauls from over the last few days.

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...b39d678e_b.jpg Got the Chewie and C-3PO set from Amazon on a small discount (15% off), I'd been looking at it for a while now but the original $50 price didn't quite sit right. Overall it's a great set of two of my favorite characters so I'm certainly glad to have it. |

IF anyone was still on the fence about the Ghostbusters Plasma Series figures, Megalopolis toys has them on sale for 60$ for the whole set of 6. So half off. Shipping seems to be about 10$ for the set. For Half off I am tempted but there is so much hitting right now.

That’s a great deal.

Found both of the entire Deadpool & Vintage Spidey waves at another Walmart. Just picked up Sunspot. Really want to complete the Strong Guy BAF, but I'm going to try and play the long game with both Deadpools and Shiklah. I have absolutely no interest in those three.

A friend sent me a wonderful bathroom. Now I have started to lay tiles for it. Or, Xander and Chakotay are doing it.

However, dollhouse scale is 1/12 so if you have the Diamond Select Toys Ghostbusters it would be too small for them. 7" figures are more 1/10 scale. For those I recommend Wrestling figures accessories. I don't think I ever saw a bathtub though. But the Playmates Janeway and Chakotay are only 4,5" and finally I will be able to use all my dollhouse furniture. |

Found the NECA '89 Godzilla at Target. There actually weren't any out on the shelf when I first got there which was a little disheartening but when I asked an employee he checked in the back and found some, so cheers to helpful Target employees. This has always been my favorite Heisei era suit so I'm thrilled that NECA got to it but it's also kind of bittersweet since it's looking like this may be the last NECA Godzilla I ever get (I mourn for the '68 figure that never was). This figure is kinda damn near perfect, especially for the price range NECA keeps them in. I don't know if it's just mine but the joints are a bit tight, which is a mild shame since their '64 figure had excellent movement right out of the box so I had hoped for similar joints here. Maybe with time they'll become more agreeable but as is it's not terrible. The tail is great, it's a good length and the segmented articulation can be used to full effect where it's actually making a soft 'S' shape. Everything else is pretty comparable to the '64 figure except that obviously it is all based around this suit design so some movement is hindered compared to that slimmer Showa era suit. The one thing this figure can do though that the '64 can't is actually use his atomic breath effect with ease, and it is a pretty neat effect piece with a nice glitter-like blue and a spiraling blast sculpt. |

Picked these two up locally today. I'm very impressed with both, NECA knocked these out of the park. The likenesses are spot on, the detailing is superb and the quality is excellent. It was refreshing to open some new figures that didn't have any major QC issues. Parker did have some stiff joints, but that was easily fixed with a hairdrier. Speaking of which, you will need to use a hairdrier to soften their hands in order for the accessories to fit in them. Not a big deal. The accessories are all well detailed and cleanly painted. Overall, I'm very happy. The only complaint I could possibly have is price. It seems like these would have been cheaper only a few years ago. Prices have been creeping up quite a bit lately. Now I do have a bit of a related rant. I have been checking my nearest Target for the exclusive Ripley for 6 weeks now, and I have seen absolutely no sign of the exclusive 40th anniversary wave. I even managed to travel to the next closest Target today and found nothing. What I find baffling is that a big retailer like Target can't get their own exclusives on the shelves, yet a small locally owned toy store can receive their own exclusives (in this case Brett and Parker), with no trouble at all and in decent quantity. If this is how bad it's going to be with Target, I can only imagine how much worse it will be when Ash and Kane come to Walmart in the fall. Also, has anyone recently communicated with NECA customer service? The last email I got from them was in October, I've had no replies since. Just curious. |
