Makes sense to me, bud. Hang tight. In a couple of months when these hit retails you can troll around this site and someone *cough* LM *cough* peteparker *cough* fancypants *cough* will have phenomenal deals on them. 25% of my enormous loose collection is probably courtesy of the 'ark.

Yeah, I guess lol, thanks for pointing that out. I was getting pretty frustrated with prices and stuff. Hopefully I'll be able to snag one in some way or another.

Since my mom won't let me use her credit card to buy this, and I used my left over Amazon gift card money from my birthday on Beast, I figured I'd pass this on to you guys.

Jason Abbadon 08-08-2012 05:02 PM

I'm 17 and a full time student, one I get out of high school I'll probably get a job then get a debit card and all that when I can. Till then, I do what I can.

bmorr 08-08-2012 05:09 PM

you can get a debit card as long as you have a checking account.

That's what I'm talking about. Great idea to keep the area on lock down. Now are there any SD arkers here who would like to do the same?

What kind of horseshit is this?

I've read that paypal and ebay are partnered up. Amazon won't support paypal if its linked with their competitor who is ebay. Not sure if its true but I was wondering the same thing recently.

I like amazon. cheaper priced items, reviews, no tax (for now that is), and free 2 day shipping (for prime members). I even bought a TV on there.

Anyways went to Ross and Marshall's to look for the last waves of the Thor line , hoping to snag Sif for the cheap, but found something more awesome,

Pretty awesome day so far, Hulk CP and classic colored Sentinel. Just need wave 18-19 to show up here in retail lol :D

Nice score. I should check out some Ross and Marshall's around here. I haven't incorporated them into my hunting route yet.

No wonder I have never bought anything from them...really want that cheap miles spidy for 8.99...

I hate PayPal and eBay, but I have to resort to them for the htf figures and such. If it wasn't for that id never use that crap.

They are always trying to get my bank info, and that's just not ok by me, and eBay is ripe with scalpers trying to fuck me out of my money.

Amazon on the other hand just has my credit card info, which offers me a layer of protection to my hard earned money, doesn't barrage me with emails for me to give them my bank account info, and doesn't charge me an extra fee because I won't give them my account info.

Amazon has scalpers like anywhere else, however there are a lot of more than fair prices on stuff that goes for double or tripple on the bay.

Plus if it's sold by amazon or a trusted agent thereof the offer free shipping on orders of 25 bucks or more.

I'd tell eBay and PayPal to go suck a bag of dicks if it wasn't for my collecting insanity. Which is what amazon has told pay pal to do Im sure since they don't allow PayPal to be used on their site.

Look at the companies side by side and amazon beats the bay/PayPal like a red headed step child every time.

Just my two cents, I've had lots of problems with eBay and PayPal in the past, and nothing but asspain in trying to fix it, I've only had one incident of a product not being right from amazon, and all it took was one less than ten minute phone call to make it right.

That's from more than 10 years of experience dealing with both.

Guys I need some help...

today is the first time I have ever thought about selling off my MU...

the hobby is distracting me right now...and I think it might be time to part ways...as I know some have gotten out recently, I am kinda just done...I mean I spend so much time hunting, and trying to complete my "needs", but I find it overly dissatisfying lately...

what with the 6 month drought, the new wave hitting "pre-order only", higher than normal prices around the scene (everywhere), and hasbro failed promise of finding these easier...maybe I just need to give it more time...

But I am just exhausted with the rat race of getting the new figures...

can anyone talk me into or out of doing this?

Please dont take this the wrong way of me "complaining", or "ranting"...I need some solid toy-lovin advice...

I dont know, maybe I just had a terrible day at work, but what do you guys think?

Jason Abbadon 08-08-2012 05:42 PM

Wait a month and get everything for retail through Amazon or HTS- only our impaitence costs us- in both gas and preorders...and the occasional discreet scalper transaction.

You always say that when your medication hits.

To save space I'm not going to quote it all.

I'm relatively new to collecting MU, but I can understand everyone being frustrated. between wanting to preorder things but not being able to, waiting for retail, having high prices, bad distribution, the long wait, and watching everyone else get new stuff while we're still waiting.

But the way I see it, as long as you're not digging yourself into homelessness or not talking to anyone in real life just for collecting, I don't see how it's a bad thing. Sure you could cut out some hunting time, to fix the feeling that you're devoting too much time to it, but I think it might just be your bad day bro. I think if you still feel this way in a month or two, at least until new stuff hits retail, then you should do what you feel is right. The way I see it, if collecting isn't hurting you financially or socially, then collect on.

Keep your head up man, you were one of the first arkers to really be nice to me, and I appreciate that a whole lot. I hope I can return the favor one day.

*Insert brofist here*

:D

If you don't need to do it for money, then don't get out man, you'll regret it, this drought has been super frustrating, but this too shall pass.

And as far as hunting, im officially over it. Preorder the cases when then go up on sites, trade the extras, and enjoy what you have inbetween waves.

You gotta ask yourself, is the juice worth the squeeze, and I'd say it is.

Waiting is frustrating, seeing rows and rows of pegwarmers or empty pegs is frustrating. But you don't want that to be the reason you quit.

Patience is a virtue, and getting the stuff, however long it takes, feels great.

That's all I have to say about that.

Jason Abbadon 08-08-2012 05:48 PM

Shhhh! We all find our stuff at retail! Really! For like eight bucks!

...too bad they...um...only had one left! Yeah!

Yeah, well, I am a super-enthusiast usually, you might be right, it might have just been a bad day...

Yeah, also, definetely not the money...but its just not the same to me...I use to go into a target or wally enthused...could it be my lucky day shit...but now it just feels like a grind...

Maybe I could just cut out the hunting trips and sell all my extras that collect dust?!?

I mean I am talking I still have a MU ult gift set in a box in my closet...no intentions to open it, but I remember picking it up, cause I thought the sheild was cool! havnt opened it yet, and I got it at xmas...shit like that confuses me, and I am too lazy to ship a box of its weird shape so its never hit my bst...

^^^ dont remember where I was going with that...

don't sell your toys. downsize if you must but don't sell.

i have used the drought to get into other lines...MiniMates, Marvel Legends, and Masters of the Universe Classics...

bottom line....don't sell

Highly considering this USAgent! Sorry to hear about your comics...

as far as the other lines go, I cant collect another line, I have tried to do legends 3 times! I am not joking I have bought the ROML series one twice...and then sold them both times...

I dont know, I have to get in the start or I just lose myself trying to get the ones I "want"...frustrating as hell, the cycle continues...

Scythe 08-08-2012 06:01 PM

Don't sell. Unless MU gets like to the point where it's comparable to the ML shit. i.e. no one's carrying them, scalper gold, older figs are stupidly expensive and the reason some have the upcoming waves already is cuz they jumped on the preordering bandwagon. We'll obviously see something at retail. Watch when we have a dryspell in a few months, we're gonna hate going to the store and seeing the same pegs with Beasts, Ult. Spideys and Beta Ray Bills.

fallen69lee04 08-08-2012 06:03 PM

im with you there shorty' i dont like whaiting for stuff to hit retail, im thinking of selling a dig. sub doom just to get my MU fix, lol
