Just got my Steve Rogers in the mail!

bmorr 04-17-2013 10:53 AM

Yeah i've only been to the marathon once, but i don't know anyone personally who goes every year. This feels like the Unabomber fiasco of the 90s.

Yeah, totally gonna be three angry dudes with the anarchist cookbook. Jerks.

But I digress, if that vision link ends up good guys, let us know. I didn't order one because I like the clear better. To be honest, I hate the DD body they used on vision, and I'm waiting for a better release.

Yeah that head mold underneath that bag is so much untapped potential. I'm sure they will release a unmasked Petey, it just makes sense since they release like 10 spideys a year. Nice job on what you did though.

Moon Knight's staff is too skinny. You might have better luck with Gambit's staff.

great ending btw,and it looks like my favourite character from the books is making his debut>>>the bastard of bolton :)
has the grundy set hit general release in the states???we got the deathstroke pack here during the week, but no grundy :(

You've got to HAND it to Jaime Lannister, he's gonna need the help because this is bear country!

Marvel Universe Action Figure - Vision - Hasbro - Toys "R" Us

I don't know if this will yield any goodness for you guys, but it's worth a shot right?

LOLLED at the Lannister comment :)

Where are you located? Did your tracking say they would be delivered today or did they show up early?

in MD, never checked the tracking

quinten182 04-18-2013 06:14 AM

Those who received figures yesterday (or just wylde bil) how were they packaged? Just the figure box or is the art box included?

bmorr 04-18-2013 06:54 AM

yeah they came in the white boxes with the standard MU packaging inside.

quinten182 04-18-2013 07:38 AM

They came in the white boxes from the USPS? Or they came in the white boxes with the art on the side like the exclusives? :P

It is a bit on the pricey side but I love the show and it works great with 3.75. More affordable than the 14" one that would work well for 6" ML figures.

Yup you know it. I used to collect MS but once they released the Dark Phoenix figure, I had to have it to put together with the MS stand. I'm slowly getting back into some MS figures like Venom and Juggernaut. I REALLY want the danger room set but I don't want to collect the figures, only the danger room bases.

Yeah, seeing that pic I totally want one now. I was on the fence because I wasn't sure how it would scale with MU.

I want to get into the books. Sadly no.

As far as I know, they've only shipped them through online retail like bbts.com. I heard gamestop was shipping them out to people at home who have ordered them. Grundy is a cool figure too.

no the white boxes with the art.

bigkid24 04-18-2013 12:26 PM

I'm jealous of you guys that got your Archangels and Dooms already. Mine have been delayed.

MADREVJACK 04-18-2013 02:16 PM

I'd have to say I'm a little jealous too, my archangel got denied after I ordered it.

MADREVJACK 04-18-2013 02:21 PM

For this season of game of thrones, the guy playing Vargo Hoat was the band manager in Almost Famous. Love the Goat! Awesome character!
The wildling raider Orell Six Skins the warg is played by the pirate with the wooden eye from pirates of the caribean. Mackenzie Crook.
Kristofer Hivju was Jonas, a Norweigan in the 2011 version of The Thing, which was kick ass from an academic horror fan point of view, Kris plays wildling raider Tormund Giantsbane.
Iwan Rheon, excellent actor from British series Misfits, is perfectly cast as Ramsay Snow-Bolton. Watch some early episodes of Misfits, this guy is born to play a crazy monster.

As far as good guys in a post Ned Stark Westeros, I'm a big fan of “ Lord Beric Dondarrion
Leader for the Brotherhood Without Banners ” , “ Thoros of Myr
A red priest and member of the Brotherhood without Banners and then later on Lady Stoneheart also of the brotherhood. And like everyone else in Westeros, I love that Arya Stark, she is her fathers daughter turned up to 11!!!!

I read the first book after watching the first season and then just wanted to keep going. With work and a little one I found it was taking me too long to get through it so I got the audio books since I can listen to them while I work. I would highly recommend catching up with the books since the show has really gone off on it's own a lot this season. Also, the show puts in a lot of little nods that I fear people who haven't read the books often think are out of place.

I thought the show cut out Vargo Hoat? Noah Taylor's character seems to be someone entirely new.

I should be getting my sets of figures in today. 2 of each. I am going to sell the 2 sitting on my shelf right now because I paid $60+ a piece for them for the digital sub and am not happy about that now. This should hopefully make up for that cost as well as a set of these for myself potentially.

HOWEVER, with the ones coming in, I will keep a set of the 2 for myself and the other 2 are up for grabs once they come in. Just putting that out there!

salsa4datass 04-19-2013 12:51 PM
