today is the first time I have ever thought about selling off my MU...

the hobby is distracting me right now...and I think it might be time to part ways...as I know some have gotten out recently, I am kinda just done...I mean I spend so much time hunting, and trying to complete my "needs", but I find it overly dissatisfying lately...

what with the 6 month drought, the new wave hitting "pre-order only", higher than normal prices around the scene (everywhere), and hasbro failed promise of finding these easier...maybe I just need to give it more time...

But I am just exhausted with the rat race of getting the new figures...

can anyone talk me into or out of doing this?

Please dont take this the wrong way of me "complaining", or "ranting"...I need some solid toy-lovin advice...

I dont know, maybe I just had a terrible day at work, but what do you guys think?

I wouldn't sell (since it's not because you need $) just yet, but I'd seriously consider stepping back for a bit. Maybe even take a break from this site for a week or two as well. If collecting has become a chore, taking a little break can help get your priorities straight and hopefully help you remember that collecting should be fun, but not rule our lives.

I still don't understand why people with PayPal accounts don't get the PayPal debit card. You can use your money anywhere. Amazon, hookers, Walmart, Dunkin Donuts, etc.

Not everyone can get one.

You need to have a particular type of Paypal account.

do you have to have good credit to get one or can you get one like that, i mean its a debit card right? not a credit card? if so how do i get it? call them? ive tryed applying online but i get rejected lol

ill put that on my to do list.

I've had it for so long I don't even remember. But it's definately not a credit card, it's just like a bank debit card. It's a Mastercard that takes from your PayPal account to pay for items.

Maybe you need your bank account linked.

Beta Ray Bill had an episode on Avengers EMH, it's a pretty good introduction of him.

I've got a premier account if that helps, I know you can fill out an application on there.

The 1.5% cash back is kind of awesome, I pretty much only use the card for eBay shipping at the post office though.

Sign in, put the mouse over withdraw. You should see an option for PayPal debit card, fill out the application.

You're funnier than this, Favata.

Speaking of funny... or annoying... memo to Arkers... If you're going to claim an item u see in my BST, going so far as to say "I'll take it" and ask for my paypal address... dont flake out last minute because you realized you have "bills to pay." I mean, who doesn't have bills to pay??

Be a man of your word and control your impulse.

Smh.

hmm, thanks! I'll need to find the full episode somewhere. Netflix stopped with season 1, and I don't think On Demand has that episode up.

Sorry. Only slightly funny, but I did try to sell the empty box on eBay. I figured if Nick Fury's box got me $20...

Thats not bad advice either!

I think I might try this!

Signing off for at least a few days might help out...

Thanks Vader, see you guys in a few days

mikefavata 08-08-2012 08:25 PM

And thanks for the talk guys, I didn't realize my PayPal card expired this month!

SquirtleSquad7 08-08-2012 08:52 PM

After watching the Beta Ray Bill episode of EMH, and some wiki reading, that figure is so bought on sight.. bought hard. The figure itself I thought was sweet, but now that I'm more familiar with the character, Tim want.

Yes. Yes you are.
In a nutshell, he's an incredibly powerful and noble warrior taht beat thor in a fight (misunderstanding) and claimed mjolnir- gaining all the Thor powers and the right to wield the hammer.

Odin decided that yes, horsey was legit so he had the dwarves cast BrB's hammer Stormbreaker- enchanting it with the same magic as Thor's hammer.

Now Beta Ray Bill is kicking ass with Marvel's most ovepowered team, the Annihilators!
Beta Ray Bill, Gladiator, Ronan, Cosmo, Quasar, Ikon and the Silver Surfer!

It was fun watching them pummel Blastarr.

I just got mine today from BBTS and it's everyting I could want in a fig- I just wish he was taller- he should be in scale with my Showdown thor- he's a tank!

BRB is also featured in the animated movie Planet Hulk.

I appreciate the 90's X-Force comics :)

SquirtleSquad7 08-08-2012 09:01 PM

Well if BRB is a friend of Quasar, he's a friend of mine. :D Thanks Jason for mentioning the team, I'll have to look into them tomorrow. They seem unstoppable, lol
