So Ragnarok opens kinda soon now, who else is up for Hasbro making Jeff Goldblum the action figure. I don't think it's likely gonna happen but c'mon, how crazy would it be if they did? |
I'd love it. Honestly, I'm impressed with the number of figures Hasbro has actually gotten from the film, with Thor, Hela, Valkyrie, Loki and Gladiator Hulk. But, while it's probably greedy of me, I'd have killed for Heimdall and Executioner as well. They both look awesome in this movie.

We keep bringing back this idea of like a MCU villain wave, probably because Hasbro should just do it. Yellowjacket, Crossbones, Shocker, etc. They should also do a Masters of Evil wave in the comic style, classic Helmut Zemo type figures. |
[QUOTE=donmeca2020;732096]i'll send them to you via PM, knowning our fellow legends thread followers im sure someone will start screaming that I'M derailing the thread... even though that's not the case.
Thanks for the links. Yeah, pretty much as I suspected. PC related. Add to that the abundance of crap art that is prevalent in the majority of Marvel comics nowadays, the laughable re-numbering of titles back to issue #1, & the almost $5 price tag and it makes me even happier that I quit collecting back in 07'. |
The Legends line in general has been really good about giving us the MCU villains this year.
The main villain for every single MCU movie this year has seen a figure, and even a villain from The Defenders (albeit in her DD Season 2 outfit). I hope this is a trend that continues onto next year. There's no way in hell we don't see a figure for at least Thanos. |

For anyone on here to say that's not the main reason obvisously isn't aware of what's going on. |

I find it interesting that Thanos is a rumored BAF when they already gave us one a few years ago. Obviously, they would go movie style if this happens, but with that repaint WalMart exclusive on the way I have to wonder if there is such a thing as too much Thanos? That being said, I would happily trade up for the WalMart one since he has the Infinity Gauntlet. I'm also keeping my fingers crossed that I can find the new Thanos. If he is as hard to find as the Black Panther, we might have some issues.

I would love to see an MCU Skurge, but I also hope that Hasbro gives us a nice, bulky comics Executioner.
Enchantress just doesn't look right without her partner. |

Considering Hasbro already did a BAF Thanos & is now coming out with the very same one albeit classic colors, its still his modern comic version from what I can gather. A scaled down 6.5-7' scaled classic version of the marvel select version is what I would like to see done in a ML wave in the near future. In the pic vs Champion, You can see the vast size difference between Thanos & Champion who's a 10 footer. In the pic where Thanos has Hulk by the neck, Hulk is not fully standing & yet he is the same hgt as Thanos who's 6'7. So for those of you pulling the ol " MS Thanos is perfect with ML figs" card, no, he isn't. The MS scale line is 7' for most regular sized MU characters & 8-9-10 inches for the bigger boys such as Thanos, sabes, Juggs, Hulk & A-Bomb. MS Wolvie is probably as tall as a ML Cap. I have no issue with an MCU Thanos version coming out, but an in scale classic comic version is also way overdue in the ML line & not be done Hulk sized. Hasbro wants to make the MU version as big as the Hulk, have at it, just don't make the comic version Hulk sized as Thanos simply isn't. Thanos, just like the Thing is all about mass & width, not hgt.

I'm surprised Black Panther is hard to come across for so many people. I got mine earlier this year and one of my local Walmarts has a few.

Marvel Comics today are all over the place with scale- the days of a standardized "drawing the Marvel way" left the Company with Mr.Lee. As long as I have small, average, and big scaled characters I'll use any line or company I like to fill my shelves. Figuarts, Hasbro, Diamond, Toybiz... is all good and comic accurate. Only if you're trying to create a specific scene from a certain issue would I worry about an exact match.

Thanos has never really died as his mistress "Death" granted him immortality. He got turned to living immobile stone by Adam Warlock, not killed. Drax punching his heart out was pure BS as Thanos body is resistant to a direct blow from Thor's hammer and has been blasted by the power cosmic of the Silver Surfer but Drax mere fist could punch thru him? Yeah, OK, Pure BS writing IMO.
So many people seem to think that Thanos is only formidable due to acquiring the Infinity gauntlet, not in the least. Thanos is of the "Titan" race, who thru various means augmented his already vast powers as to demi God like scales. He took on the Thing & Thor simultaneously in his 1st encounter with the Avengers, Thing, Spiderman, Adam Warlock & Captain Marvel, heck, it took all those heroes combined to try & take him down & in the end, it was Warlock, come back from the Gem World, who took him down by turning him into a stone statue. During his quest for the infinity gems, he had to defeat immortal & powerful beings such as Champion, the runner, the Gardner & the Gamemaster to aquire the 6 gems of power. Thanos is 6'7 985lbs of massive muscle & power. No need to depict him as being a hulk sized Giant just to covey power. I think that is the major problem the last 10-15 yrs with artists. They feel like every super strong & big character has to be drawn Hulk sized or bigger. Juggernaut was already huge at his original hgt of 6'10 900lbs, no, they have to make him an 8-9 footer and weigh 1000+lbs. Rhino was 6'5 and around 650lbs, now he's Hulk sized. Same goes for the Thing who's 6' 500lbs, but artists draw him Hulk sized. Sasquatch at 10 feet tall always towered over every other hero/bad guy, now they wanna make other characters nearly as big as him. The main reason the classic Hulk/Thing battles were so great back in the 60s/70s/80/s and even 90s, was due to the size difference between him & the Hulk & Ben always felt like he had to prove he was a tough & as strong as the Hulk when they fought & even though the Hulk won the vast majority of their battles, Ben gave it his all & it made you root for him as the underdog. Now with the Thing drawn Hulk sized, their battles don't have the same excitement cuz he looks like he can now take down the Hulk. I just really wish that artists would strictly adhere to the characters listed hgts like the artists back then did & not just take this BS artistic license and make them bigger cuz they think they will look cooler at a larger size. I know I'm in the minority with this, but I don't care. |
