Same. Comics are larger-than-life, so I'm all about having the figures of those characters be bombastic, especially the big guys.

One of my favorite things in this line is whenever Hasbro releases a big, really chunky figure, be it standard release or BAF (IE Ares, Juggernaut, etc)

WTF! When did this occur? Comic book deaths are a joke as you know they will almost always bring back that character within a yr or so. Death of Phoenix, death of Superman, etc. All comic selling gimmicks.

I'm shocked they haven't brought back Uncle Ben. And again, still no excuse to alter the physical size of a character. A big Green hulk sized Drax the Destroyer woulda made a way better looking figure than the revised smaller version with skin tats that they had "kill" Thanos.

TB made a classic Drax way back in the 90s , but it was killed by it's pre-posed sculpt and limited POA.

Agreed. Always wanted Hasbro to do a Nerd Hulk too.

Toy Biz did a Smart Hulk many years ago. It's a good stand in for now. I assume that's what you mean by Nerd Hulk. An updated version would be nice. The old one used to be pretty pricey. I'm not sure what he goes for anymore.

Thanos blew his head off in one of Jim Starlin's last books, The Infinity Relativity. Annihilus pushes Thanos through a teleportation loop that leaves Thanos stuck in a sort of limbo and so he kills himself knowing that Death will be able to return him to reality as part of a bargain (she started making their relationship very conditional at some point). In this example Thanos came back from death almost immediately but even he acknowledges it as a genuine death and not just some trick.

Or do you think he means Totally Awesome Hulk?

RoboSnuf 10-27-2017 01:04 AM

Hey guys. I just posted an update about the ML BP wave - including BAF reveal, over here, in the news section.

Thanks for posting. I know some people will be disappointed with the BAF but I'm not. Now if they can just release MCU Shuri too.

RoboSnuf 10-27-2017 02:10 AM

It is news, right? I don't think I missed it being announced elsewhere...

lordbest 10-27-2017 02:18 AM

Yes I think so. It was news to me at least.

Yay! I like to try to give back to the community, so this pleases me.

warmachine6 10-27-2017 03:42 AM

i might consider getting black bolt & iron man .... though i kinda want to complete the inhumans but the new medusa is awful looking compared to the SDCC one released agess ago but what of karnak , gorgon , crystal & lockjaw ?

ariellagunas 10-27-2017 03:50 AM

Black panther movie figures look great. I'll bet Shuri will be a two pack. Hopefully with Forest Whittaker or Angela Basset. Better with both imo.

Panther 10-27-2017 05:17 AM

Beyond thrilled for the final figures revealed for the Black Panther wave. The only figure from this wave I’m not interested in is Invincible Iron Man.

hasbroherofan 10-27-2017 05:28 AM

Wow. I never would have expected Nakia. I knew we were definitely getting a Killmonger but I am beyond pumped for this.

Harbinger 10-27-2017 06:12 AM

So it looks like trus in my area just refuse to stock any of the two packs or the aforce box sets.

donmeca2020 10-27-2017 06:19 AM

Just saw pics of that black panther wave.... you gotta admit it looks weak. Might just grab black bolt maybe the make mine marvel modern iron man.

SymbiSpidey 10-27-2017 06:37 AM

The only thing that bothers me, literally the ONLY thing about the final reveals.....I wish Killmonger came with a Michael B. Jordan head sculpt. Other than that, yeah, I'm loving the final figures. Wish we could have got M'Baku as well, but shit I'm not mad at what we do have here.

That new T'Challa unmasked face looks really dope.

Also...I'm kinda surprised Hasbro was allowed to put the word "Kill" on the packaging. Aren't toy companies that market towards kids usually hesitant about having words like that on there?

Im disappointed that the baf is just a standard sized fig. Honestly black bolt should been in an inhumans wave and namor and iron man in others then put teh baf as man ape and thenbaf they are using as a standard fig in the way and throw in a comic bp related character. Since medusa is a , ugh, walgreens exclusive it makes zero sense to make bb a standard release.

Captain Nash 10-27-2017 07:17 AM

Disclaimer: this, of course, is only just my opinion. You're all welcome to have another opinion but it's not going to change mine, unless there's a very persuasive rational put out. Not that anyone has to..just saying.

So.. wait...wait...wait....on top of giving us tangentially Black Panther connected characters like Iron Man and Black Bolt - I will give Namor a pass they have been frenemies for quite some time -- and giving us a lamely designed Killmonger - which I don't necessarily blame Hasbro but more Marvel on this one, they gave Hasbro a "gimme" for a very cost effective resculpt but Hasbro could have included an unmasked head for MBJ -- the BAF for this wave is a figure that people would potentially wanted to have army build?

W. T. F.

This wave had SO much potential and it's SO disappointing. I will definitely get one figure out of this and possibly Killmonger just so I have the character. I would have bought 2-3 of a Dora Milaje based character, but I'm not so in love with the thought of it that I'm going to spend money on figures I'm cold on getting (again). Ugh. I cannot express how annoyed I am with this wave. For those that want this wave as it is, that's great, glad you're getting what you want, but for those of us who had some different ideas and hopes about what could have been, it's about the most lackluster wave Hasbro has ever done. And it could have been glorious.

That is all....o_O

Harbinger 10-27-2017 07:21 AM

I will say the solo movie bp will replace the cw bp on my shelf as he can actually put his arms all the way down instead of the air dry arm pit stance cw bp fig has.

I'm getting more and more surprised by Hasbro these days. In the next Transformers line they are using some original G1 names that might be too "edgy" for kids today. Names like Sinnertwin and Cutthroat will be on packages. I'm happy they are keeping the original names, just never though I'd see them again. Really cool that they are outright calling him Killmonger on the package.

The wave looks cool, but since I only buy comic style stuff, I might just buy Namor and maybe Iron Man. I have Black Bolt from the SDCC set, so I'll pass on him. Happy hunting to the rest of you!

Actually Nakia would be the army builder so you'll be alright (apart from the lack of alternate heads). Okoye is the leader of the Dora Milaje and has an orange uniform the regular DM wear red like Nakia.

Okoye on left, Dora Milaje on right.

I'm just relieved we're getting Nakia and Okoye, it's not a perfect BP wave but it's a lot better than I was expecting.

Good point. If I can find the figure with Okoye's head and it fits on Nakia's body I will be pacified. :D Thanks for the suggestion!
