I saw some one make a custom killmonger with a civil war black panther and it looks better then the official one but with the new official photo of the killmonger figure, it shows he has some leopard spots on the figure so if in person it looks great that'll be the main reason i get it

Maybe they got away with because it's technically his real name? It's not unheard of for people in real life to have names like Kildare or stuff like that.

My TRU won't even stock NECA toys like Friday 13th, Gremlins, etc.

Actually kind of digging that Iron Man...its been a while since we've had a comic version and the Stark head might be reason enough for me to grab it. What in God's name is that with him though...a metal two by four?

I might pick up Killmonger simply because I need to keep supporting MCU villains, and the new BP since the mold is improved (that Sad Panther head will have to go though) but otherwise, lime the recent Thor wave, this wave is a dud to me.

It's a blaster cannon attachment for his forearm gauntlet.

Can anyone tell me is Killmonger's sculpt new or is it a reuse of the Civil War Panther?

I was just doing some comparisons myself a few minutes ago, and EZTOYDUDE is correct - while there are some similar patterns in the sculpt, it's a brand-new mold (or so heavily retooled that it might as well be a new mold).

EDIT: Just saw TBM's post below mine, and... shit, you may be right, man. Either way, it's not a reuse of Civil War T'Challa, but... hmmm.

Along these same lines, does it look like Okoye (and, by extension, Nakia) might be extensive retools of Mantis? The pieces connect the same (I know, most BAFs follow the same general construction, but both Okoye and Mantis attach their legs at the ball-joint hip, rather than the thigh swivel like other BAFs), and their outfits, while very different, share a similar-enough general layout that I think it's possible.

Doesn't hurt that Mantis was a brand-new mold designed as a BAF, meaning Hasbro would want to milk it when possible.

TheBlueMarvel 10-27-2017 10:19 AM

Are you sure EZTOY? Sure, the tooling distinguishes it, but it looks like it could be a re-purposed Sunfire/Spidey 2099.

Whatever it is, I like it. I like the whole wave; I won't be selling these MCU's...

Is the gal with the brown legs supposed to be wearing pants or did hasbro go super cheapo and just reuse the black pant legs with the grooves to be brown skin with tribal tats or are they supposed to be brown pants? Either way i hope they redo her in the green.

Pants. You can see here that Nakia's outfit has brown pants with that design work going on.

You mean Nakia, right? I'm pretty sure they intend that to be leggings. The fact that the color is so close to her skin tone, is a little confusing, but there are better pictures that show off the sculpted detail.

Yeah as we've seen with Winter Soldier Cap, Hasbro will take the rare opportunity to reuse a movie mold and milk it for every last penny.

With Red Guardian , the leader of the Soviet super soldiers/Oktober guard, in figure form along with Gladiator, leader of the IG, Hasbro has to at the very least , start giving us fans of those 2 teams, at the minimum, the core members. Same for Alpha Flight now that Sasquatch & Puck are ML figures. Ursa Major at the 8 inch scale would make an awesome BAF in an Avengers wave. Though, classic Titanium would also be a great BAF at about the 9 inch scale. The core members would be great to have, but there are also a couple of other Soviet Super soldiers I wouldn't mind having as well.

Ah okay. Yah the tone of the pants threw me. To be honest it coulda gone either way....it is hasbro after all. I do hope we get maybe a two pack with green outfit nakia or a regular release....so far shes my favorite character and i love the green outfit.

Tomax 10-27-2017 11:02 AM

I just noticed that they've hit a large swath of the cast. The only really significant character I haven't seen Hasbro do in any form for the movie is Klaw.

Maybe he'll be in a two-pack?

Maybe? His comic version is coming in an exclusive two-pack (and looks to be an improvement over the earlier release). I'd normally say "almost no way" simply because his movie design looks pretty "ordinary" (normal clothes, etc...) but then I remember they did Ego, whose design wasn't exactly eye-popping.

hasbroherofan 10-27-2017 11:28 AM

True.

Anyway, is the screaming head on Black Bolt new?

Tomax 10-27-2017 11:29 AM

OK i got a question for you figure geeks (im a geek also): so Nakia and Okoye are the female bodyguards called Doja mijare in the movie? or are they just addtl charncters in the movie?
