Walgreen is great...more variety of stores, more of the general audience will be exposed to its existence.

Got my order in for a Magneto from TRU, but I already had this work in progress going... easy custom if you have the old TB Mags to pull parts from. =)

ANy hoot, the way I see it, that sucks. So much Walgreens in NYC....I am bound to get 5 or 6 Agent Venom....buwahahaha,,,,, All seriousness though, I think even though their is probably fewer supplies, there is fewer competition? No sure about above statement, for example, I have only ran across 1 Aim or Hydra soldiers in NY...the scalpers got the rest. I am sure many never saw an Aim or Hydra in stores....in NYC. WHat a shame really. Toxin is easy find, Carnage, saw it twice passsed once, other time got it.....so it's tough especially scalpers,,,, I am sure Hasbro will find a way to distribute...I mean they know what they are doing...cough**RedPool**cough!!!! lol |
What do you all think the chances are are to see a T-Bolts Venom? ala Punisher, or would it be wise to get two and a vial?

I think most folks on here are reasonable enough to realize this, but just in case... not everyone who manages to buy a specific figure before you get a chance to see it or buy it in stores is instantly a scalper. It could be a normal collector just like you, an army builder, a kid who thought the figure looked cool, etc...
I guess I'd just hate for any of you to roll up on someone holding a figure you've been hunting down and accusing them of anything, and, you know, earning yourself a beatdown or a bullet over a toy. =\ |
Zoffy, you said it well. We don't even know the numbers of figures produced from the Cap2 wave, that being said I have 7 AIM and 4 HYDRA, and I'll pick up or trade for more if it's within reason. Army builders out there - I praise you, and I have seen many of your collections online, many more than a few times and you all have awesome set ups and dios etc.
If you want more of one figure, there's no crime in it, as we all have a different vision of our own comic imaginations. And, if you're patient, you'll get whatever figure you want at a decent price, don't give up the search! There are a lot of guys and girls here trying to help those in need. If I may suggest, second hand figs look just as good in an army as the ones you buy yourself, so with that in mind take a Saturday or Sunday and go to as many yard sales as you can, but look in your local classifieds online first and plan a route. Who knows what goodies are out there? You may even find a wanted fig for someone else here and trade for that one you want! Keep the hobby fun y'all, because if it becomes a source of anything but that, it's time for a break. |
getting 2 of a figure isn't considered army building so to that degree I am all good. Have seen several AIM,Hydra and BW's,spidergirls and toxins lately at walmart. so keep ya eyes peeled else if someone is on the hunt let me know..i will try to help ya out

I might just grab a preorder of the Storm and Magneto MLs from eBay... they're within what I'm willing to pay and honestly I don't want to take the (failed) effort to get Black Widow again.
I'm really just in it for Storm and Jubilee, and I already have buyers lined up for Stryfe and Cyclops, so I just need to find a buyer for Magneto. |
In California there are Walgreens everywhere so that will hopefully make agent venom easier to find
|
there are 8,231 walgreens locations.......

Let's ignore the fact that we are talking about a 100% rumor with zero proof beyond "a reliable source" (which is the same as "he tell me" in my eyes). I still have a problem with a revision case being a store exclusive. Typically it's either a single figure or an entirely separate wave of figures - i.e. no carry-over figures from previous waves that were already available at regular retail unless there is a change in the mold or paint scheme for the exclusive).

I scoured the Walgreens in my area looking for GI Joe: Retaliation figures, as well the 3 3/4" Star Wars Black figures, and had surprisingly good luck finding SW figures.
I was in and out of SOOO many so frequently, I'm sure that they assumed I was stealing meds to cook meth, lol! Seriously, it's a huge problem here in the deep south and pharmacy employees are very paranoid because of it. If my picture isn't alreade hanging up in a couple of locations, I'm sure it will be by the time I find that Agent Venom, lol ! |
