It seems you think it's offensive for one collector to ask another questions about collecting. Why some see it as a kind of attack to inquire about their decision making is beyond me. I was only curious. I don't know if it's just what's lost in translation, but if I had asked a guy standing next to me why spend so much and not wait, he would respond with his justification and not be offended. But it seems some just want to think the worst of others.

I don't think WD took it the wrong way when I asked. At least his response did not seem to indicate as much. Ether way I hope he didn't. I mean no disrespect.

Oh i don't know about all that, the single pack one has better color and cleaner paint, un-stuck together claws, and the head cowl looks better to me.

The xforce pack one is the same one they used for the single carded astonishing wolverine, which is also not my favorite wolvie.

To each their own though.

Ive seen people badgered for how and where they shop. I wasnt calling anyone out. You dont need to justify your question anymore than he needed to justify why he spends what he spends.. I dont need to justify why I told him that he didnt need to justify why.. uh.. hmm.. I am stuck in a circle here.

Speaking of circles.. you assuming that I am thinking the worst of others is just thinking the worst of others when its said and done. :p

The current costume has the quantum bands, but he did have to get them back again. It's been awhile since reading those comics, but it was a major story arc in the Nova comic and sub story in war of kings that bled over into the Thanos Imperitive too before he moved on to the Annihilators team and his current look..

As to Quasar's costume, you're kinda right and kinda mistaken (as I was) - the artist from Annihilation made somethng almost the same as the current costume- Wendell had it on in his one issue appearance of Annihilation- where he was disintegrated by Annihilus. Much later, he was shown to be alive and in his old costume- if disembodied like he was when he was killed (horribly) by Malestrom in Quasar #25. When Wendell gets his body back in Realm of Kings by venturing into the Cancerverse where there was no Death, he somehow gets the body costume back and (I think it was) Brad Walker (one of my favorite artits) added the shoulder armor after Nova's aad extended the chest emblem dwn to his waist.
From there you have the artist on Thanos Imperative make the bands into flippin' lamp-posts on his arms...

My problem with the single carded version and most other Wolverines is that he is way too tall to be Wolverine. The body doesn't look like Wolverine except the head. I'm not saying the Astonising Wolverine is perfect. I wish the hand articulation had been at the wrist so I could have switched the hands for the ones that came on Patch. Also, I prefer the gray to the silver but that's very subjective.

Passed on one in the store 3 or 4 days ago. It was really random as they had several old figures show up out of nowhere.

Gotta say for me personally that ^^^ is my all time favourite MU Wolverine,i love the stealthy look of the trimmed down cowl and uniform, his face is just the perfect combination of controlled rage/feral/badass,and he can pull some really great "classic" Wolverine poses too!!

I'll swing by this week and see if he's still there. I do have one Galactus left but I'm waiting to hear back from one person that was interested before I offer it to someone else.

Jason Abbadon 08-10-2012 04:42 PM

Bad Moon, that Wasp is bad ass. A great representation of a character I sorely miss.

I like both. I'd agree with Iceman though, the single release one is bigger in scale though. Maybe thats why the jim lee cyk is taller. I painted the single pack one more silver to go along with Warpath and AA.

So did you use that one for the weapons or is the body better than others? If it doesn't matter which body would a Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes work? That way you get the coat too!

Attempt #2 at geting a Detolf was successful. It's still in the car, too sick to haul it again.

I need those Smalljoes Apex tiered stands and I have to pick up some weatherstripping from work tomorrow.

The time to free my Marvel Universe from bags and plastic containers is upon us!
