Well, we were together for three years, it kind of becomes hard to abandon traditions and things. Sure, it was only three Christmases, but we got gifts for each other anyway.

My VF-1J with GPB-1S Armour arrived today from Hobby Search (RRP ¥16,800, but I got it on preorder sales price of ¥15,960)!

I know I should have just waited for the option kit, so I could stick on my exisiting 101 VF-1J but I... ...I got impatient... Another (proxy) supplier (Tokyo Hunter) should be sending me the option kit that has the "Itano Circus" bits sometime this month.

What can I say. It is magnificent, everything comes together so so so nicely. So nicely...

How durable is it, is there anything to watch out for, and how well does it stay together?

It is very durable. All the GPB-1S parts fit neatly onto the Valk with almost seamless precision - and all the connections are clean and without hassle - moulded to fit around the arms/legs and not really relying on the existing clip points to stay on. The side armour slides neatly in, but make sure that your valk is properly transformed (ie the Cockpit/Nose is pushed) so that it fits in snugly.

I've managed to hold it and pose it in many positions without much loss of articulation, and I even held it upside down by the leg (in a "swooshing falling aaarrrgh" motion) to check if the shoulder (micro)missile packs would come off. They don't :)

If there is anything I would say watch out for, it would be opening the missile hatches. Pull out lighty, then open (think about the direction), rather than just trying to flip them open in a rush. They slide off neatly too (just with a little bit of force - just a little), if you think they just get in the way.

Well, as I said earlier, now all I have to wait for is the Itano Circus parts, and - but I am sure that they'll just sit neatly on to this piece of playable art.

Mary Batson came with a figure stand, and Martian Manhunter was the new articulation and didn't have a stand. The rest of the series looks like old articulation.

Found the Marvel Universe Wave 3 SW packs. I also got the Harvester from the Terminator Salvation line. Pretty cool. Big. Some giant robot for my figures to fight.

Found some 25th Joe stuff at TJ Maxx. Bought a few B.A.T.s and used their heads on ROC Baroness to make some cool looking personal android bodyguards. Lazy custom but cool.

I put the Baroness heads on the B.A.T. bodies for s & g. A bunch of Snake Armors and Terminators I got on clearance.

A couple of Avatar Amp suits for my Cobra soldiers.

Another lazy custom of Sgt. Slaughter. Saw this recipe on Hisstank and liked it. Build n' Brawl Slaughter head on TRU exclusive Benchpress body. Removed the arm tattoo and added the elbow bands.

Bought City Strike Duke but hate Channing Tatum so I replaced the head with the leftover Benchpress head for a pretty cool looking character.

Yet another lazy custom of Red Skull. ROC Destro body painted black with the head of Montezuma from the Joe DVD pack painted red.

IM2 comic series Stealth and movie Mark II. This Mark II is easily one of my favorite IM 3 3/4" figures.

Not sure what possessed me. Actually, yes I do. Pure nostalgia. They had the whole team on the pegs and I couldn't resist myself. This is the first Power Ranger products I have bought since the first series.

Wanted to add some wrestlers to my 3 3/4' world while I still had the chance. Razor Ramon and Undertaker on clearance.

I just got alot of toys.i got mu modern thor and extremis iron man,at my local comic shop for 11.99(i couldnt wait:o)i got iron man 2 toys;movie war machine,movie war machine varient,comic war machine,mark 3 armor,iron monger,mark 2 armor, mark 1 armor(movie).and street fighter 4 guile with black cloths and gray hair.i havnt been able to find anything for a month so i went insane with all the new toy goodness.i saw the lex luthor and skeletor pack but i passed and i also passed on the army of 2 figs.is it me or has toyark been having problems

Hi Guys. Apart from my Macross Stuff, I am also a bit of a collector and fan of Lego - and in particular Lego Minifigs. Over the last few years I've invested a bit of time in my Lego photography and a bit of money on specialist Lego accessories from two custom molders BrickArms & BrickForge.

So my recent "Look What I Just Got" is a combination of clear weapons from BrickArms and Clear Space Marine Armor for my Lego minifigures: (Active Camo Space Marine).
