I may have an opportunity to trade two Sideshow Joes for Shadowland Daredevil, or one Sideshow Joe for Mile Spider-man.

What to do??????

You know what to do - trade for the Shadowland Daredevil! If the trade is agreeable to both parties who cares right?

I don't know much about what you're trading, but if the trade seems fair to you and you aren't going to regret it I say go for it. As far as which one, if that's what you're asking by what to do, I'd say DD is the one I'd try to get. I feel like the Miles Spider-Man isn't going to be one of those exclusives that's super hard to get. There's an eBay listing for $100 with free shipping on him at this moment and the DD goes for about double that typically, around $180.

RolandofGilead 01-19-2018 10:08 AM

Sideshow GI Joes typically go for $120 to $150. I'm wondering if two are worth the trade for Shadowland who I see in the low $200's.

Yeah, that's a pretty close call. 2 is definitely a stretch at that price and either way you'll probably be "leaving some money on the table" with the trade for DD or Spider-Man. How bad do you want it? :P

I hear ya - you just have to consider what you want to do - make trade, or sell them to get what you want.

Sideshow Joes are very cool, I never got any myself, so I know the struggle, maybe you could have the trader throw a little paypal your way as well to even it out? Just thinking out loud really.

Dorksidetoys has the brown costume Wolverine in stock with free shipping. D Amazing also put up a review for the bc Wolverine and I have to say that I’m considering it over the X-Force costume after watching his review.

Love D-Amazing's reviews, also, I wasnt going to get this one, but I ended up ordering it.

I’ve been getting from woozy moo for the last 4 I ordered and just got shipping notice for Wolverine today. They’ve been shipping half of them DHL but I seem to be getting them around the same time as everyone else. So I got the standard Deadpool & Harley and I ordered both Red Skull & Deathstroke pretty late with no problems so I’ll probably stick with them.

What one figure would you love to see be made into a one:12 line? Me? An deluxe version of Inspector Gadget! Could you imagine the possiblities? wow! What about you? Whats yours?

I'd be in for Game of Thrones as a whole line. As for a single figure, Jubei Kibagami from Ninja Scroll.

Outside of superheroes, I'm not sure that I really want anything that hasn't been covered by other companies. But just for the sake of having something:
  1. The Dude from The Big Lebowski. He could come with a bowling ball, the brief case, a White Russian, a couple of heads with and without sunglasses, and the rug.
  2. Lara Croft from the current Tomb Raider series. A couple of alternate heads, bow, quiver, arrows, pistol, rifle, shotgun, climbing axe, and torch.

Superheroes:
  1. Bronze Age Batman with classic batarangs, bat-line attached to batarang, alternate heads with and without the black around the eyes of the cowl.
  2. The Arrow from the first two seasons of the show. Alternate heads to show Oliver with his domino mask, the grease paint "mask"/raccoon eyes, and a plain head unmasked head. The recurve and compound bows. Different arrows such as the normal arrows, the grappling hook arrows, and explosive arrows.

If they got the Star Wars license I’d probably hafta become a coke smuggler to pay for them all.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Resident Evil stuff done in general, but Umbrella security specifically. Panzer cops would also be welcome.

frodotrout 01-22-2018 09:03 AM

How about some classic mel brooks movies
young frankenstien
gene wilder as victor frankenstien, peter boyle's monster, marty feldman's igor,
blazing saddles
mezco could even make a couple of horses for the waco kid and sheriff bart, they could do mongo,
space balls,
man the possibilities are endless, come on mezco..... do it

Thor Laserpunch 01-22-2018 09:08 AM

I heard they can never do Spaceballs figures (or any merchandise) because of some agreement Brooks made with George Lucas...

I'd be down for Star Wars. Mainly because I could see a Darth Vader in their style being phenomenal. My main issue with some One:12-stuff is that the bodies have cloth on them but the heads are sculpted plastic, even if it's supposed to be the same texture as the rest of the outfit.

Darth Vader has a helmet, armor, and boots that would look fine in plastic (diecast would be sweet though!) and they could do the undersuit, gauntlets, cape, and skirt-piece with cloth material.

So basically what Hot Toys is doing, just in a different scale that I care more about.

I glosses over your Inspector Gadget line at first. That really would be a winner. Galoob Gadget was one of my favorites.

I can’t recall any Hot Toys that they actually have tailored a snug fitting cowl or mask from some fabric medium. I can’t imagine that would look nearly as good and you’d likely lose some poseability. Plus you’d lose out on alternate heads because their design choices would be pretty limited if even feasible to go that route at all.

If I were calling out one thing it would be feet in general. The ankles a lot of time just do not go the way I want them. I could also stand to pay a few bucks more on a character like Spider Man to get hinged toes, especially where the feet have fabric over them anyway so you won’t miss a beat on that largely seamless look.

Figuarts style shoulder articulation would be pretty dope.

notoriouslyhigh 01-22-2018 01:35 PM

Mezco shared this image, sneak peeks at upcoming figures they plan to reveal at Toy Fair I believe. Also for anyone interested they have A Clockwork Orange Alex One:12 they just put up for preorder

I fail at sharing images, so if someone else knows what they're doing that would be willing to share it here...haha

I'm honestly desperately hoping Mezco never gets the Star Wars license, because then I'd go broke. Genuinely.

Agree, ha ha. Cant wait to see what the reveals are at Toyfair this year.

They have a Toy Fair teaser pic on their blog. Another Bats (guessing it's the second of their 3 phases of his career) and to the far right pretty obviously looks like Homecoming hoodie Spidey (which I was hoping for). JL Flash in there as well to the left of Batman I think. Maybe Bernthal Punisher next to last. Best guess for the farthest left maybe F13 Part IV Jason...
