these guys got crazy expensive on the secondary market- I thought the traveling con shops would be carrying them- Sucks because folks that didn't get in with Scorpion and SubZero don't even want to try to start since you can't get the two biggest names without dropping $$$$

I am not that worried about those two in particular. There are so many versions of them it won't be difficult to get them in the collection. Others like Ermac, rain, smoke, those may be more difficult to get in the future if Storm chooses (and they are as we have already seen) to make other figures like Scorpion and Sub-zero because those are where the money is.

I wish I had your guys' faith in Storm Collectibles doing anything that made sense when their release schedule is so slow. I don't know- based on their "upcoming" release previews- that any non-ninja version of any given character (unless it's a cyborg repaint) is going to be high on their priority list while they have the license.

I should clarify, by "Non-ninja" I was referring to the Scorpion (MKX) that has already been shown, Sub-zero (unmasked) that has been shown. I guess these ares till Ninjas only different versions. There is also Baraka, Kitana, and the dragon. I think that is all we have seen besides the Cyborgs. That is a decent list for upcoming figures from them from that line alone. They are also working three or four other lines with reveals so I think they are doing ok considering what they have on their plate.

Oh I know they're doing fine- but again- Scorpion and Sub-Zero are HUGE characters (the unmasked brother or whoever, is fine... but it's not classic) On FB Action Figure boards the difficulty of getting Scorpion and SubZero is the loudest complaint out there- So a re-pack or re-release would be a great way to get folks into the line that are not crazy about those secondary market prices.

i HOPE these look good and are highly poseable. It's also be sweet if they could fit in with the Storm figures.

I was hoping its be the mkx subzero out fit but this is cool lookin too.

I find it noteworthy that Scorpion's description claims that there will be other Scorpion figures coming, Sub-Zero's does not. I really hope this line goes beyond just these two because I'm digging a lot of the MK11 designs (Baraka, Jade, and Kabal to name a few) and I'd like to have more than the same two who always get merchandise.

i've seen some of those blood splatter apps and they look terrible.
It might be worse with the 'booger-green' Baraka blood!!

Looks like MK3 Scorpion is going to be revealed soon by Storm Collectibles. Unfortunately it looks like the blood splatter effect was lifted from CanOfBeam's design so there's a bit of controversy going on over this post on IG and Facebook right now.

people steal from the big toy companies all the time..
every cast, weapon, head, etc. from a licensed IP is stealing.

I feel like you're a hypocrite if you have an issue with this and not the reverse.

I feel like there's quite a massive power disparity you're not accounting for. People "stealing" designs for headcasts and whatnot from products made by corporations doesn't tend to make a remotely noticeable dent in that corporations' profits, even if there is some actual loss of sales for that corporation. However, if a corporation steals a design for something from a small vendor, they stand to take a large portion of that vendor's business, causing significant harm to them.

Just paid for Baraka. Should have him by thursday of next week. Sure was a long time coming. ..and only the 3rd character from the MK line that ISN'T a Ninja..

I’m excited to see this, but I’m not going to buy it. Sticking to mk1. I got too much going on to grab everything. Sucks, I’d like to blog it, but the wife’s eye twitches whenever I come home after visiting the toy store.

To those of you who have it...or will be getting it...

Will you be painting Baraka's teeth? As you may or may not know, the teeth on the prototype were shown to have a metallic finish (accurate to MK2) but the figure shipped with bone colored teeth to reflect his more modern look.

Was just wondering how you guys feel about this. The bone teeth doesn't bother me honestly because of the retcon, however I am on the on the fence with painting them for a more accurate look to that particular game. What will you guys be doing?

Well... TECHNICALLY Baraka had Lee Press-On nails superglued to a nosferatu mask... so technically anything is good. Lol

That being said, metal teeth or nothing.

If I had any intention of getting one I'd paint them silver for sure.
