I'm holding off on preordering any Black Panther figures. I can wait, and I imagine post Christmas they'll be stocked up at stores as plentiful as Doctor Strange and Thor figures were.

My goodness...are you still complaining about the Hydra brutes?

You managed to turn chicken poop into chicken salad by cooking up some pretty good custom tweaks, making your set unique. Let it go sir...

I tweak figures all the time. My Blade can stand up straight and fully upright, my (Kaine) Scarlett Spider (Rocket Racoon wave) has properly sized interchangeable hands, and my Walgreens Punisher has trigger fingers. I'll be tweaking the hell out of Jewel when I get her so it isn't just Silk in cosplay.

There is always a coulda/woulda/shoulda aspect with Marvel Legends, but no sense to complain about it every chance you get when you obviously have the skill to fix it, and have. Take some pride in that work you did, and let go of the shortcomings already.

For what it is worth, I loved the two unmasked heads for the Brute. They made for very easy Eddie Brock customs for both Venom and Anti-Venom (the flat top being classic Brock, with the bald one making for a good Anti-Venom since Brock was still growing his hair back having just recovered from cancer around that time...)

One thing I would say is that next time Parademon1 should use masking tape to make straighter lines on the Hyrda brute torsos. Also, those pre-2011 ML Hydra heads look kinda puny on the brute bod...

Still looking for that shelf pic with Moon Knight, Ghost Rider, Iron Fist, and other street heroes? It was posted on here a while ago. Anyone have it? Thanks!

What's a "while ago" we talking Hasbro/Toy Biz any other descriptions would help. I'm sure we have all posted that pic at one point or another. Between Photobucket and moving I don't have one right now.

I did use masking tape but the muscle lines curvature of the torso made it kinda hard to do perfect lines. Might be easier for you air brushers but with paint brush; not so much. Those old Hydra heads were big on the fugly pre 2011 hasbro Hydra buck but I really think they are perfect for the 6.5 buck. I compared them to 6' scaled heads such as Spidey & Cyclops & they were bigger.

Tomax 11-11-2017 11:01 PM

I usually go to 4 walgreens around my area but for some reason i decided to go to one more cause i couldnt find wolverine from the 'vintage wave. the first 4 walgrens, 2 stores had only 1 figure (black widow) and the other 2 stores had none? which was weird? then on the 5th walgreens which i never go to, they had 5 figures, Jackpot!....i picked up only Wolverine cause i only wanted him. spidey looked good too cause he had a more matte look, which i like but i skipped on getting spidey cause i already have a pizza spidey. but the wolverine has some upgrades, thats why i got him. the only thing is that the hairs on his arms are not that noticeable so i retouched it

Seeing as how I have barely read any comics with Hydra, I can't. Frankly, I don't give a shit if they are in the comics or not, they are in my collection and they make my soldiers look varied. Don't like it, tough shit.

Sorry, they're all hasbro and all newer figures. The shelf was a reddish brown from what I could remember. I think it was posted a month or two ago, at the very most 3 months. Thanks though. :)

Ah, don't remember that one. I hope to have mine up soon. Just bought a few more shelves.

In other words, "no, you're right, there aren't any unmasked Hydra grunts in the comics", roger that internet tough guy.

Dude, I'm not. Guy couldn't back up what he said about lower tiered Hydra grunts being unmasked in the comics & came back with a tough guy response. Last I check, only Baron Von Strucker, Red Skull for obvious reason & Viper who I believe goes by the name madam Hydra , are unmasked Hydra agents, but are also the leaders of Hydra. Then you have Mercs such as Crossbones who Red Skull hired to be his bodyguard & work for them.

My Target had him half off as well... the surprising thing for me is that there were tons of them before the sale and now only a handful left. You are still basically paying 20 bucks for Kurt Russell... so kinda surprised people are buying the 2 pack even at half off.

I think she looks amazing... surprised so many seem to be passing on her (or complaining that she reuses MJs head). I mean if this version of Widow came first would people complain that MJ reused Widow's head... I wonder. Unless of course everyone is just waiting for the bike version... which makes sense I guess.

What the hell are you talking about? I didn't say I was right, I said I didn't care.

Clearly I said I couldn't back that up. However, who says you have to look at those guys as lower tiered soldiers? The dude with the helmet is an expert brawler. The dude with the scar on his face is a CQC trainer. The dude with the shaved head is Red Skull's personal RPG man.

Does it offend you if in my collection I do not look at those big dudes as lower tiered Hydra grunts?

Oh, you mean the re-painted Cap Britian head/helmet, the Nuke & Radioactive man re-paints? Gotcha. Enjoy em. You can paint your Hydra soldiers pink for all I care & call em Heidi.

Next they should do Skrulls with superhero heads, you can have a Skrull with a green Ironman head, one with a green Cap head & another with a green spidey head. To heck with actual skrull warrior heads.

Re-released AIM soldiers could all come with alternate civilian heads as well.

You do know that Army building means getting multiples of the SAME characters, hence the term "army building"

If you're gonna individualize them to look different from one another, what's the damn sense in making them & calling them "Army builders"?

That's why in real standing armies, everyone dresses the same, not in different colored uniforms/hats/boots.

It's Called uniformity, that's the definition of Army building, the uniformity they present when posed together, not individuality.

If Hasbro is gonna start making future army building 2 packs, then I want exactly that, 2 of the same character, not 2 different looking characters just for the hell of it.

I want Hellfire club soldiers to look exactly like these awesome customs by Loosecollector. Hasbro wants to add a thigh rig holster to one and a huge plasma rifle & backpack to the other, fine by me, but don't make them look different from each other. What's so difficult to understand about that & the concept of "Army building" to some of you?

Boy Blunder 11-12-2017 05:34 PM

 Moving on...

Got Cosmic Spidey today. Not going to give him anything but the standard Captain Universe head though. Gotta love that deco!
