Yeah, I was SHOCKED that he just gave the bases to me...I really wanted the ML Abomination he had, but made a judgement that he was just too big for the MU stuff...

Where did you get that plastic storage case from?

I still don't get why people get bent about shipping prices if the total price is good that's all that matters. If the total price is too high it doesn't matter what part is for "shipping" and what part is for the product. Given that ebay charges final value fees on the shipping now I don't see why people don't just put free shipping on everything and just charge a fair total price. People need to stop being hung up on what is basically marketing in how sellers price their shipping and just just look at the total.

i think people may get bent out of shape because shipping prices are all over the place and some folk are clearly profiting on shipping prices alone,i just gave a great example with the Nick fury figure,9 dollars with free shipping worldwide, yet on auction the same guy is looking for 9 dollars for shipping alone on the same figure with a starting auction on $1.but if you can find some justification on the sellers part on that particular item, please feel free to point it out to me.i dont mind paying reasonable money for figures,i have done in the past, but getting screwed on shipping is something i could do without im sure many feel the same way.

Well, I know why sellers do this ^^^.

Here is the breakdown

if you have item A on ebay for

10$ + 3$ shipping, for total of 13$ you have to pay ebay 9%, or .90

Whereas

if you have item B on ebay for

3$ + 10$ shipping, for total of 13$ you have to pay ebay 9% or .27

A little tweaking of the shipping goes a long way if you are an ebay income only person...its a nice way to stay away from ebay fees, because they cant charge ebay fees on what you charge to people to ship...

Thats why you will see the same seller has the same item, just reversed amounts for the actual price of the item, and what they charge for shipping...either way the seller sells the item for the same amount, its just the difference in what ebay takes from the item...

Hope all this made sense

wolverine2281 08-12-2012 02:49 PM

as far as eBasy shipping cost, a while back eBay added in the shipping costs + the auction price and now charges fees on the total shipped because of sellers doing that. I don't know why they still do it.

Did they? I rarely sell things on ebay (I use to, but the fees got out of hand!), but I didnt know it was on TOTAL price?!?

fuck ebay...those greedy Fucks...

Actually they are now. My mother sells hundreds/thousands of dollars a month on eBay alone and they take cuts from both selling price and shipping.

Yeah & doing that made no difference to the idiots who charge high shipping. It only hurt those who charged exact shipping.
