Why not pre-order though Sideshow? They are really good, and when you sign up, they send you a $15 off code for your first order, and you can set up a payment plan.

Roxxstar 06-27-2012 10:15 PM

And lets not forget, they had their site exclusives :)

See, about predators. I would literally want ALL of them. I already have a huge neca tribe going. and the Neca predators have such good detail, you might as well just get those. Although, I might break my rule. If i'm up to it, avengers loki is next on my HT list after joker. black widow is surprisingly inexpensive...not DC related. back on topic

Your logic intrigues me. But side show is the Hot toy? I'm confused. I just want my fuckin joker and i'm throwing the money at whomever is most reliable.

Roxxstar 06-27-2012 10:29 PM

I'd pick Sideshow over BBTS. I've ordered from both and while been successful, Sideshow is like buying directly from mattel or hasbro rather than a third party like BBTS or Target.

makes perfect sense, but is side show a company, a website or other? Is "hot toys" who makes the joker and "sideshow"?

Roxxstar 06-27-2012 10:37 PM

Sideshow is a company, and I believe Hot Toys uses them as a distributor or is a partner. Sideshow is based in Southern California, and produce 12" figures and various statues of their own. They have also started on life-size statues, there is a crazy Darth Malgus on there for $6k!!

Yeah I saw all that. I know they make their own stuff, but I thought they might have made a joker of their own.

bbts is cheaper atm. by 20. I'm going with them.

And holy shit at the batmobile prices. That's almost my rent. Could never justify buying that 1989 batmobile. Even if I wanted it badly

No offense taken :)

I just started my DC collection a few weeks ago, so only have wave 17 lanterns, a Sinestro Corp Cyborg Supes, and a DCD GL Sinestro (which I hate LOL)
I also have a few Bat figures :)
But I'm trying to trade for a few more.

Bubba304 06-28-2012 12:10 AM

nice...good start!
not including any old vintage DC toys I had growing up, my collection started a few years back, its a pain in the butt tracking down some of the older figures but extremely satisfying when you finally get them. I personally love the DCUC figures over the Marvel Legends...however the newer Marvel Legends are WAY better than the old IMO. DC Direct makes beautiful figures but articulation stinks and some are hard to stand due to poses they are molded in. Anyway which DCUC's are you looking for? since they are on clearance just about everywhere now....just about a week ago or so I found an All-Star Batman for less then $10 i believe. Also a good time to buy a few for customs or trade fodder.

I just glanced at the pics and they look just as I was hoping. Are these pics of the figures that we are getting or the prototypes? I did not have time to read anything.

My Targets have been cleared out :( and nowhere else stocks them. Well TRU, but all it has are Toymaker and GL Manhunter not on sale. I'd like to complete wave 20, only got Hawk & Dove, also after the Renegade Nightwing, Azbats, and basically the entire GL series except manhunter. My DCD list is much longer lol I would've liked that all-star Batman, but I really like my 52 from DCD. :)

Hot Toys and Sideshow are two separate companies. Sideshow makes its own figures as well as being the US distributor for Hot Toys (who are based out of Hong Kong).

Hot Toys - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sideshow Collectibles - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

On a side note, I'm surprised no one has created a 1/6th scale/12" appreciation thread yet. We seem to have a decent number of HT/Sideshow collectors on this site.
