I've been on a mission of late to replace/fix things from my G.I. Joe collection. It's blasphemy for some, but my Joe era really started in the early 90s. So Neon is pretty prevalent in my collection. Which is fine by me. I'm edging my way back into the earlier stuff, but the prices are getting pretty ridiculous. This is just my long about way of saying I got this guy. Which is weird. I know I had him. I have his cardback and all his accessories....but I couldn't find the actual figure. Maybe I lost him in a move over the years.

Yesterday, I found Stratos and Bo Katan at Target, then took advantage of the fill a bag for 25% off sale at Gamestop to buy the Ninja Turtles (just need Michelangelo now) and Megatron, then bought the Boba Fett neck gaiter and Bantha Skull wall decor at Books a Million

Got the McFarlane MK11 Shao Kahn. The sculpt and paint details are nice, his eyes are actually painted pretty well under the helmet, but he would've benefited from some more paint apps beneath the knees. His helmet though is really the standout point (as it should be) but my picture doesn't do it justice since the silver of its horns drown out the rest of the details. He does have some articulation limitation thanks to his right shoulder pad (the part attached to his bicep) but it's put together in a way that you can get it all moving with a little fiddling, nothing needs to be cut or broken it just takes some figuring out. Other than that note I think it's a pretty damn cool Shao Kahn figure, especially for the price.

Saw him out today. Good looking fig like ya said but he definitely coulda benefitted from being a bit larger. Shao should tower over the regular figs.

He'd probably be too big for the 4 inch figures Jazwares and Mezco made right?

He really shouldn't though. In MK2 he was only like a half-head taller than most fighters and in MK11 this hasn't really changed, if anything he's a little shorter to be closer to the rest of the roster. He's still taller than Baraka (using their eyes as the basis) who was the tallest figure in the line.

Thought as much. Sucks because the Jazwares MK9 Shao Kahn is crazy expensive these days.

Got these liquid chrome markers, they really work! You can see the difference on Colossus. I’m gonna chrome everything!

Are they by any chance Molotow? If so I'm sorry to report that you cannot touch the surface. At all. Not even a little. If you do the finish smudges. If you apply a top coat the finish smudges. If you look at them wrong, you guessed it, the finish smudges.

But yeah. They look AMAZING.

Yeah, I noticed that on Colossus. The paint does not come off, but the shine does dull when rubbed. Should be fine for Vipers and Cobra Commander's faceplates, I'll just have to handle Colossus only on the non chromed areas. I was thinking of doing Silver Surfer, but that will be impossible to touch afterward.

Found this entire wave at Walmart on the side of an end-cap on the Lego row of all places. Lucked out and snagged Asajj & Bo.
