Great points Sithlord, I came to Toyark well after the big fallout that led to the orignal 3.75 thread getting blocked (From what I have heard) so I too have no real bias toward anyone on here, but I have met and dealt with some great people, regardless of longevity, but here is where my personal testimony will lie.
I used to login to toyark everyday and only click on one thread "The New Marvel 3.75 appreciation thread", then a couple years later this thread popped up and although I felt like an outsider since I wasn't in the UK (I went to University of Kentucky, does that count?), I had a new thread to check in on daily. Then the re-branding occurred... I was really wanting Antman and Ares, but almost everyone else was a figure that I had already made a custom for and it really starting grinding my gears that the official product was worse than my amateur custom work (not to diminish my work, but I had no artistic ability prior to working on figures and dioramas). After a year or so of collecting inferior products Hasbro Re-Branded again AND raised the price. I was not happy with these changes and began to share a more negative outlook on the line that once brought me the most joy from my collection. I, like Jay and yourself, don't come here to be petty or negative, so like my Mama taught me "If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all" I started posting less and started to reading so much more on toyark. But in that time that I was upset with the state of the line, Pilk continued to post his customs and things he was working on as well as encouraged others to post more and give him ideas. I'm sure he felt the same way about the line that I did, but he was still a positive and active member of the community. I want to point this out, because I don't think Pilk is at fault for feeling like he has been a positive contribution to the community, because he obviously has and continues to be. Lets get back to toys and do a quick question how long ago and what was the last marvel 3.75" thing you picked up? For me I picked up the 2 Spiderman 2 packs a couple weeks ago. Before that I had picked up the Groot/Rocket Comic pack and Quasar from Dorkside.com on the cheap! Sorry not trying to bring the hate, as I'm sure some of these are more difficult on your part of the globe. |
An argument on the Ark that I didn't start? What's going on?
I've never helped anyone, and I don't think I've ever asked for help, so I can't comment on that sort of thing. I did manage to make Panthro leave by criticising import duty, still not sure what happened there... This, however, I can't bite my tongue over: Quote:

Mmmmm..... Jerry curls.
A very BIG thank you to Oscar. He just hooked me up with my current top two most wanted figures! #Community |
Also... my last figures purchases were, drum roll.... two HYDRA guys and an ULTRON army builder. But my latest two purchases were last Saturday a Gorgon (1995 ToyBiz) and I just won a Narnia Prince Caspian castle playset for under fifteen quid.
This summer I am investing heavily into some customs. Building a near perfect Guardians of the Galaxy comic team from guys here, myself and some heavy hitters in the pro customs game. I want like a who's who of makers if you will. My next purchase is LockJaw. All of a sudden I got on an In humans kick. Have Medusa and a broken Black Bolt. Getting a custom Crystal in a trade, getting Karnak from member and just ordered a Gorgon from Iowa. Then gonna sell some household stuff and make a purchase of £50. £20 on more protech stands and £30 on a POP taco truck for a Dead Pool shelf. That is us sorted for the next few months. Basically, customs, stands, army builders and mini diorama stuff for the shelves. Even if the best waves ever were coming this summer, I would pass for now and catch up later. Who needs HASBRO anyway?!? And @K Dubs.... while being an alma mater of UK should let you in our club, as a lifelong IU fan, that hurts. (American college basketball references, don't think the other UK would have understood) |

Box one of the HYDRA vehicles above and box one of S.H.I.E.L.D. below. There are two boxes for each. I never talk about it, but my S.H.I.E.L.D. is bigger than the HYDRA army. http://i1164.photobucket.com/albums/...s/image_2.jpeg |

Yes. Limbs, neck, logo on chest....all fixed. He used to stand pretty tall, but have cut him down almost three inches. Will post pics once he is finished this weekend. Maybe next week when he has his little buddy back. Below is what he looks like fully swapped. Too tall for my liking, shortened his lower legs by quite a bit and removed 1/2" of his upper thigh. Brought him down not much taller than the team. http://i1164.photobucket.com/albums/...s/image_17.jpg |
I like that alot. the fully poable racoon and adam warlock will look cool with them
|
Whole lot of Hydra activity going on in here.
and it looks like punisher is about to join hydra in the comics! |
Latest purchases for me - GOTG Vol2 and Homecoming 2 packs and a Greatest Battles DD.
|
Never thought about using the Night Raven as a SHIELD vehicle. I've got three of them that could flank my single Quinjet!

2015 SDCC Chimera H.I.S.S. thanks work perfect for HYDRA. Both the Night Raven and Chimera are decked out in their new team stickers though. |

The other S.H.I.E.L.D. box. The Night Raven looks ace on the Super Helicarrier with the added length and matching colour scheme. The Quinjet pairs well with the Helicarrier due its share zero and colours. |
I still meed 2 quin jets
|
got the homecoming, shocker, guardians and doc strange packs then the sinister 6 pack as well so a nice haul I guess.
Still supporting the line and will do so until it is done |

How much was the Sinister Six pack / where from? Still waiting for them to show on Chinabay... |
THe spidey 2 packs are actually pretty good, (get past the vulture which is meh) My doc strange has a derpy eye but I think they all do lol.
sinister 6 was retail direct from Amazon US to be honest I got it with a load of pop vinyl figs for scarlett and some $5 MU they had on offer so including delivery and customs it wasn't bad as I saved on the retail price of all the other gear. Amazon US shipping direct to the UK has been pretty good for me I tend to buy in a batch with some PC parts and save a decent amount |

they had most of the last few waves for $5 so I chucked a few on for fodder
|
Hmm... it still works out at $11 per figure for repaints with no accessories. Seems so steep. Amazon's packaging also sucks, so it might not be guaranteed to arrive in decent shape...
EDIT: Are you planning to open them? Damn Hasbro 'collector's' packaging! |
The come in an outer brown box like Bandai figs so packaging was fine,
I am an opener at heart but as I have all the figs already and the packaging is so good I am leaving them sealed |
