Found Starlight at Walmart yesterday, but it was just Starlight and the animated Bat-grapple. There were no signs of Homelander or Frankenstein's Monster at all, either they hadn't put those out yet or they were just totally bought up. I think Starlight is a fine figure on her own, except for the weird way her elbows look when bent, but I feel like the alternate parts included are underwhelming. Some power effect pieces/hands would have been nice and there was definitely room for them with how little else was included. Other than that note, it's sculpted and painted well, the cape is a nice material with good detail, and overall the figure handles nicely with no loose, stiff, or frozen joints.

Found Rhinox and Zemo at Target today. This is a perfectly good Rhinox but the T30 figure is still just better to me, really the main thing this new one has on the older one is that it's much better put together as a toy. Focusing just on the new one though separate from any comparisons it has some problems but nothing overly damning. First big one for me is that the head is just so off, every other Beast Wars figure in Kingdom has a very cartoon accurate portrait and Rhinox just does not. It looks like a small-headed G1 bot wearing a Rhinox-inspired helmet and it doesn't have the Maximal symbols on either side of the forehead either. My second main issue is that the transformation gets pretty vague in the back-half of turning him into a rhino with lots of small parts getting in each other's way and mostly requiring everything to just be crammed and forced together leaving me hoping that everything lined up right somewhere in between. The last big complaint then is the meatloaf with legs called his rhino mode, it took me a while to set up a flattering angle for a picture because this thing has huge hulked out front legs but sad atrophied back legs. The rhino head is done well though except for the horns being either the wrong size or shape but I easily let those slide because otherwise the front horn would be a problem in robot mode. My smaller gripe then is how dinky his chainguns of doom are, they look good from the front but like a cardboard cutout they lose all presence when seen from basically any other angle. The faux-jaw chest is the last thing I'll comment on because he has that big ol' faux-jaw on his chest but if you followed the instructions you can see the rhino's actual lower jaw right behind his freaking head. This situation can be avoided though by flipping the rhino's lower jaw down into the bottom of the head cavity which is then hidden behind his back leaving the hood-like empty upper jaw behind the robot head.

I just wrote a paragraph that shits all over this toy but I do like it overall, I just wanted to hammer out my grievances. The colors and paint that are applied all work for the character even if they're not exactly accurate and although the transformation is a bit fiddly both modes are solid and everything holds well. The articulation in robot mode is pretty good for such a stocky design and he sizes up pretty well being just a bit taller than Optimus Primal but shorter than Dinobot. If you don't have the T30 Rhinox and want the character it's an easy recommendation but it's not without flaws.

Man, you are rocking it lately with the awesome McFinds. I bet you'll need to unload that silver Grodd to make room for all of these, huh? ;)

loots from the past two weeks from retail stores and a gi joe & toy show in DFW!! the diecast cars came from Sam's Club (of all places) for only $15 each!! heh

^ I watched someone go to that GI Joe show on youtube... I'm totally jealous. My local toy/comic/collector shows always have the same bunch of people and they never have any of the older 25th/POC/30th/50th Joe stuff anymore.

Most of the Beast Wars fans are split on this figure from what I have seen on Twitter. Some love it some think its a piece of crap. I am sticking with my thrilling 30's Rhinox I just think it looks overall better. Also it saves me 30 bucks I can put towards Tigatron when comes out

As I said at the end of my post, I don't hate it but I don't love it. It's just not as impressive as the T30 version was when it came out. Still Rhinox is one of my all-time favorite Transformers so I've got no problem having both figures. I am also very much anticipating Tigatron, the deluxe Cheetor fairly impressed me so I'm hoping the bump up to voyager class with Tigatron could be as impressive as Primal and Dinobot. Not that I'm expecting Tigatron to just be an enlarged Cheetor but they should roughly share the same general layout.

Same Tigatron is one of my favorites and I can't wait to see his show accurate face.

Yeah, I’ve had some extra spending money lately. I’ve still been looking out for another Grodd, it’s definitely going to be tough to find another.

I wanted to complete that too, but now it cost too much to find the parts. Here's hoping Hasbro will re-release him in a single box like most of their BAFs. Maybe in a more comic correct color.

Back of Red Guardian and Melina's box. Somehow this passed inspection.

some of these were the same dealers from the past as well, but quite a few from previous times were missing unfortunately!! :(

The colors are correct for that version of Crimson Dynamo. Hasbro doesn't nearly re-release most BAFs, it's really just the more popular characters, which can definitely be a bummer if you want a certain large character but they're too low-radar to warrant a deluxe release. I'd like for Hasbro to eventually prove my statement wrong but as is the number of BAFs they haven't made directly purchasable eclipses those that they have.
