Saw these on an end cap at a local walmart. Looks like mattel is keeping their tradition of over packing heman and skeletor. Plus the first wave is a “timed exclusive” to failmart and battlecat and skelegod are exclusive to target…..not a hood way to start off the line. Lets hope going forward mattel fixes he case packs and doesnt pull a hasbro and make over half the line as impossible to get exclusives.

Yah. The first wave is a TIMED exclusive meaning the first shipments will only be at walmart to start then go wide distribution. As for skelegod and battlecat….i havent heard if they too will see a wide release but given targets track record with exclusives * cough * COBRA ISLAND FUCKERY * cough * i wouldnt hold your breath.

I see Skelegod all of the time on an endcap at Target, but the fact that they are making their first wave a timed exclusive tells me Mattel hasn't learned a thing at all.

So true. I mean just look at the releases and how they’re done….its 200x all ovr again. Mattel cant wrap their head around equal character case assortments. 2 of EACH character in the wave per case. Thats how it needs to be otherwise this new line is fucked outta the gate once the timed thing is done.

Looks like a fairly even assortment of characters to me. It's a big shipper. But really, did you expect them to not put out more He-Men and Skeletors?

Had to do some hunting after work, but I was able to score all 4 and the last Evil-Lyn in the building at the last stop.

Expect…no not at all. It is mattel after all….but i had HOPED they wouldn’t cock up this line.

I finally got the McFarlane Rebirth Flash. I'd been waiting to pick this up until I saw the Injustice 2 figure in-hand to decide which I liked more, but when I started finding the game version suddenly this one was just totally gone at my stores and wasn't up on Amazon either. Earlier this week though I had to leave my usual hunting grounds and I found it once more. I think the bright colors just pop, the smiling face fits the character, and the lightning speed force pieces really give it a dynamic quality. The Injustice 2 figure came out well but the stoic expression and duller colors are what lost it points and gave the comic figure the edge for me.

I also got in my Amazon order for the kingdom leader Galvatron much earlier than the originally listed mid-late August window. This is just an amazing Galvatron but unlike the kingdom Beast Wars Megatron who was a true leader this is a return to Hasbro selling a voyager sized figure in a leader box. He is a larger voyager sized figure though and then the inclusion of the Matrix of Leadership necklace (not pictured) is nice, plus he has two shrunken down versions of his ship as decently sized extra blasters. I did happen to get one of the incorrectly assembled figures (the shoulders) but it doesn't really bother me since it's only a 5mm difference and it doesn't cause problems for articulation or transformation in any way, and sometimes in the cartoon his shoulders were set a little lower anyway.
