ANYWAYS!

Hoping we see a new Future Foundation Spidey on the pizza Spidey buck eventually...

Maybe so, but again, that doesn't make her a Deadpool character when it comes to in-universe organizing (which seems to be how Hasbro decides their lineups).

Man, a FF Spidey would be great on that body. And a new Big Time/Stealth costume (I'd prefer the green, but either would be good as long as the deco was well-done enough to imitate the neon glow).

I'm wondering how long we'll have to continue waiting for a Spider-Armor ML figure (with the armor sculpted, rather than just painted over a standard Spidey deco layout). Hell, make an alternate exclusive version using some chrome vac-metallization. I'd definitely buy it.

And please, don't use the word bimbo. It's just not cool. It's really not. Grow up a little.

what if being a dick is in his DNA??

Sounds like a good walgreens exclusive. ;)

I do have to wonder, though... I know vac-metallization works on harder plastics (ABS, like what the torso pieces are made of), but I don't know how well it works with softer plastics (PVC, the rest of the body pieces). Chrome might just fleck off like dandruff.

Side Note: Aside from maybe the X-Men waves. This latest BP wave may very well be my fav wave to date. Love every figure..

Great post BB, thanks. I didn't know anything about Gwenpool and was probably going to end up using mine for a custom - but am now tempted to have a read and give her a chance before butchering what actually looks like a pretty good figure of a very eye-catching character.

I think we have have to ensure we constantly repeat that last statement. I might add it (or similar) to my sig. Yours pretty much says it all, but it seems that some people could use more reminders...

Haha so true. But the more and more I look at this BP wave the more I love it. Okoye And Nakia have probably the best movie head sculpts I’ve seen on a fig. But Kilmonger is by far my favorite of the Wave Definitely can’t wait to see what Infinity war has in store.

Awesome! And if you don't like her, totally cool - not every book is for every taste, and that's what results in us having a variety of character 'flavors' to choose from. But I do hope you enjoy if you pick it up.

And yeah, it's part of the reason I've got the sig I do - people seem to need to be reminded that this is a hobby, we do it for fun, and it brings nothing but stress to everyone when the hatedom comes in strong, even to the person bringing it.

See, I only read one or two issues with Gwenpool (not even her own book mind you, just spots in others). She didn't do much for me but that's not what bugs me about her figure. I really don't like the head sculpts with the figure. I have bad eyes but from what I can tell, it looks like she's sticking her tongue out on both sculpts. Please correct me if I'm wrong here. Seriously, I have eye issues so I might be seeing this wrong.

She's only sticking her tongue out on one sculpt, the other is just a toothy grin.

Oh, but that scrawny MCU Mantis had to be a BAF? Kingpin is like 4x bigger than her but he doesn't rate to be a BAF? Classic Kingpin has been a top 10 want list figure for like the last decade or so. The TB version , while great, is a bit outdated, lacks a few vital POA & is very expensive in the aftermarket.

In the end, the shift is starting and that era in comics is coming to an end. Marvel needs to hire based talent and less on ideology.

Not my cup of tea, and will not purchase the figure like a majority of collectors.

You hit the nail on the head with the "idealogy" comment. It's all about BS PC in today's comics. Huge reason I quit collecting after WW Hulk story arc. Pretty obvious today's "writers" never heard of the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mantra.

Tomax 01-08-2018 02:22 PM

since we are on the topic, i never liked gwenpool or deadpool for that matter, im a DeathStroke guy

hasbroherofan 01-08-2018 02:22 PM

Can we please keep getting modern characters so we can keep getting the righteous indignation? Because it’s always amusing.

So you saw a post where I said Kingpin doesn’t need to be a BAF and your retort was another figure who didn’t need to be a BAF? Thank you for agreeing with me. I knew you had it in you.

I need a t-shirt of this.

As for the whole BAF thing for Kingpin... eh. He's a big friggin' guy, don't get me wrong, but I don't know if he'd need to be a BAF. They could stick him in a package and still have him be large and in charge. Not that I'm against him being a BAF, either. I just think that Hasbro could go either way on it.

Now, that being said, I'd absolutely skip over a comics Fisk if they gave us a D'Onofrio Fisk. The true protagonist of Daredevil S1.

Exactly they got away with releasing Ares, Groot and soon to be Thanos in single packaging. I don’t see why Kingpin wouldn’t be the same. Either comic or Netflix one he’d be a capable Single release

Well, however they would do it, Kingpin's a big enough character (no pun intended) that he needs to get done.

Edit: removed the second part bc I realized I'm totally incorrect on my statement! LOL
