Iron Man ALWAYS has a plan, ALWAYS. Last time I checked he wasn't the god damn Batman! Like come on, Thing beating Namor, under water at that? GET THE FUCK OUT. Sure it was only round one, but seriously. It's Namor, he SORT of held his own against the Sentry here...THE SENTRY! I miss the Sentry, he needs to come back :P.

Hopefully X-Men get some major victories happening here...

But wasn't it awesome to see spidey hold his own against a freaking colossus/juggernaut/Phoenix cocktail.

Been looking for some "affordable" flight stands for my figures as well as the Chitauri Chariots. So while they may not be quite as nice as some of you guys, I found these at Hobby Lobby for around 2 bucks a pop and think they'll do pretty nicely.

Those look good! I think the clear ones look a bit better but for the price of those you can't beat it!

Ha ha ha, not funny.

Believe it or not it seems the ISP fixed whatever problem they had and the pictures load pretty fast. The ISP here is lousy, it just goes down sometimes for no reason and is back up a few minutes later.

So you know what? I will now quote pictures like it was my life's calling! And don't any of you guys say that your internet is slow, I will remember how you treated me!

Jason Abbadon 08-18-2012 08:43 PM

It's had it's good points, to be sure, but the insanely one-sided nature of the thing has been a drag.
Fortunatly it's not a drag I pay for- I drive to the comics shop and hand the proprieor a check from my roomate, buy it all and read it for free.
Tiberus is 100% right that the thing should never have beaten Namor in the water.
Illiana should never have beaten BLack widow at anything. ever. EVER.
the stuff with the protector was...man...they wasted that character SO BAD. Just pissed him away.

I will say that AvX has beated the hell out of the train wreck that was Fear Itself but it's also extremely dumb in other ways- it's been going on for months in the MU yet we've only seen the effects of any of these world-changing events in the AvX title- which is a gutless approach marvel is taking in a way.
If they had really gone the route of Civil War, with lasting changes and gave us readers some idea of, you know, what the ENTIRE WORLD thought of what was going on, it would be 100% better- instead it's dumbed down ino a slugfest. More like watching a Marvel Vs. capcom game than an actual story with a plot.

as far as every non AVX title goes, that stuff never happened- is not happening and that is a good thing since books like daredevil or Journey int Mystery should be free of the endless-crossover stupidity.

I finally got a hold of the SDCC DVD Stan Lee figure, and then I made a mold of the head with the body in the mold upside down. I then filled that mold w/ plastic. When I pulled out that first copy it was like a bust of Stan. I then modified the bust into a head that could fit onto a GI Joe/ MU body. After making a mold of that altered head I drilled the neck cavity out to 7/32" to fit onto an old Indiana Jones figure, and painted it up for my own custom Stan Lee.

Spidey: Wait how did you beat Venom!?!?!
Stan: I just wrote it into the story.
Spidey: Wait...WHAT?!?!?
Stan: I've been writing your story for years. Hehehehe.

That's cool! He is kinda breaking the 4th wall there. :D Anyway that is an Indy figure from The Last Crusade, the one where he was in the Austrian castle just after he machine-gunned those Nazi troops.
How much are the Stan Lee figures running for these days?

Could of said a bit more, still it's nice to make a quote worth it.
And yeah it has a Matrix look to it, all the MIB figures looking the same (well the 2 characters anyway) helps that.

I copied the head of the mini figure from the SDCC A Fans Hope DVD. I got the pack off ebay for $20

I just think that it should be common courtesy to say a bit more than "that's cool". But like I said the Internet is faster now so by all means, quote away! I know I will.

The victory they'll need is over the Phoinex people, not the Avengers.

And Iron Man was out-planning Batman back when Batman was still as cheesy as the 60's TV show. Iron Man, as far back as Iron Man #285 (like 1990) was training to beat the X-Men in holographic simulations- and back in Avengers West Coast, managed to knock the crap out of Magneto- bashing his helmet in!
Add to that all that wolveerine brings by way of inside information, and Tony would have had a means to take down all of Utopia with just some duct tape and a few paper clips.
