Speaking of customs, my wife is in the market to get a Teen Titans Jinx custom head for the Nico Minoru figure (in the ML aesthetic, of course). Anyone have any recommendations for the best person/people to contact for that?

So your saying you don't think the movie will do well based off of: 1. what the action figures are/look like and 2. your opinion of the overused CGI.. or is there more to what gives you that feeling?? |

So for funsies, I decided to come up with two "Best of MCU" waves. I excluded Netflix characters because the popular ones are probably coming in the next Netflix wave (if we get one) anyway.
MCU Iron Monger BAF wave: Mark 3 Iron-Man (on a new mold with Tony Stark head and alternate hands) Quicksilver Lady Sif Quake Yellowjacket Ronan MCU Abomination BAF wave: WW2 Captain America (new mold, alternate Steve Rogers head) Nick Fury (updated mold for better trenchcoat buck) Heimdall Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider Red Skull Crossbones |

And @DTL I know misty was a huge let down hopefully they at least get to s Netflix one in the next wave. |
My only wish is that they put a damn mask on Danny Rand's stupid face.
They had the perfect opportunity during Defenders where Matt was looking more like Iron Fist than Iron Fist. It seems they at least gave him a green tracksuit at the end of the series, so we're getting there. |

As far as the Netflix figures go, I see Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Kingpin, and Misty Knight or Colleen Wig being the possible figures in the next wave. |

The Last Jedi was supposed to break all kinds of box office records and stand out as the best film in the series, and yet the movie has struggled and the studios have admitted that it has under-performed. It's also the most devisive film in the franchise...critics love it, but fans can't figure out if it is the best or the worst film in the series. (I wasn't a fan...) Bright was supposed to be one of the worst films of the year, and yet it is Netflix's biggest and best reviewed hit to date (among viewers...which by the way...I enjoyed it a bunch...) Devil's advocate comment I know...but just saying...there is no guarantee a film will fail or succeed in today's market. I have no doubt BP will succeed opening weekend, but if word of mouth gets out that it's bad (or boring...or pointless because of Infinity War or whatever people will find to complain about) it could very easily slip into Thor 2 futility. I haven't been wowed by anything in the trailers for it personally, but that comes from a lack of interest in the character and a general fatigue (and disappointment) in superhero films as of late. As for the point about CG...it looked really bad in some of the BP trailers, and I think that the issues in quality more has to do with the advance in technology for viewing things at home and in theaters than it does with the artists and work in general. We now have access to 4k and higher resolutions in both, and while it's great to see things in such clarity, it also is so crisp and clear that it pulls back the curtain on CGI to show the little man running the show a bit more. I won't watch certain things on my 4k TV at home, simply because the clarity ruins the experience for me. Despite their age, movies like the Matrix, Titanic and Jurassic Park still look fantastic and magical in 1080...on 4k...they look like Discovery channel cartoons. |
