To give less and charge more.........i wouldnt have supported that either.

As far as legends go, yah there may be lotsa releases but again on figs that should have had artic at one time now dont ( no calf swivers, wrist or bicep swivels )...is too remanicent of what happened with mu. Im just saying theres a parallel. Yes its unlikely, right now, that legends will suffer the fate of mu but if legends raise prices without increase in quality it will likely suffer. You cant expect people to pay more for less and stay loyal.....its just doesnt make sense.

it has a loyal fanbase who are happy enough and when they are not they certainly let hasbro know at toy events.only major gripe i hear is the saturation of retailers with stock, some are having trouble keeping up,but that all but eliminated the scalper market.yes there are minor complaints about some figs not having ab crunch or doube jointed elbows, but in terms of quality and variety?its a huge improvement that seems to be getting better.things went bad for us on several levels, vonner leaving seemed to be the start of it.

Yah that's true, but when Hasbro refuses to answer questions about the 4inch line or gives vague answers about the lines status, at those events-by the guy IN CHARGE OF THE LINE-then that seems deliberate that they're intentionally killing the line.

Just recently Hasbro had a poll(talked about some page back in this thread) asking fans to post questions about the Marvel line and there were plenty of questions about the 4inch line that went totally unanswered. So how else is the fan base supposed to "let Hasbro know" they're is still interest in the 4inch line?

dave was in charge of the line!!!
i said it here a few years back about the lack of presence from 3.75 community at sdcc, all questions back then were asked by legends collectors and when legends got relaunched many 3.75 collectors were actually legends heads and dropped MU.
as for that poll it got posted here and there was a few questions not many at least when i lookedat it.and didnt it get shut down because people were spamming it with fake accounts?
i really dont believe that its intentional that we hardly see it anymore.it got a 10 year contract and that ran out and sales for most part did NOT help ensure its survival.

Badass, man! I've been converting my favorite Joe's into SHIELD and BPRD agents.
Add in Marauder taskforce figures, heads and weapons... can't go wrong!

I'm talking about "post Dave". Almost very SDCC video I've seen when Dwight is asked about the 4inch line, it's either ignored with the "eye roll", or vague one word answers. That kind of attitude isn't helping the 4inch fan base. The one exception was last years SDCC clip I posted in this thread, where Boog(A Legends guy) actually got a full response about the 4inch line from Dwight.

in fairness it kinda fell on his lap after daves departure.id imagine he was neck deep in making legends work after the shakey start it had when they first took over from toybiz.
dwight respects boog, the guys been in the toy collecting game for a long time and he is a cool dude!
but also bear in mind that dwight is not responsible for toxic behaviour within these 3.75 groups.

I agree, just like all 3.75 collectors shouldn't be considered part of that toxic group. You said the 3.75 group needed to be more vocal at toy events about their displeasure about that line and in this thread alone, there is multiple examples of how their concerns have been addressed by those in charge.

But as has already been mentioned, the 6inch group is about to see what the 3.75 community has gone through. Price increases are coming as has already been confirmed and bitched about from 6inch collectors and the reduction in BAF parts in figure waves.

ill be more specific "marvel 3.75 collectors".
ive seen enough toxic behaviour in here alone over the past 8 years to justify my views.some of the group even held themselves in higher regard than the actual creators of the line,i mean if i was a hasbro employee coming in here a few years back id be like horrified.on the flip side yes there are great stand up members who tried to develope a community out of it all.but their numbers were/are too few.

yes we have all expressed our displeasure in here about the decline in MU but youtube,FB,INSTAGRAM and sdcc are much better platforms to voice our views.again i dont see it yet in legends,2018 was a hot year 2019 looks no different.increased price points will see inclusion of extra parts, this was covered at that hour long presser pre nycc.which BAFS have limited articulation?ive a few here in my MU set up and the articulation is on point on those.do you mean size reduction in BAFS compared to the classic toybiz BAFS?

I remember seeing the same kind of toxic behavior in ML community when MU first began. At that time, ML release was on the declined while Hasbro began investing more into the new 4'' line. I can remember treads being posted to begged hasbro to stop and cussing out anyone who support the new line.
My point is that toxicity exist in any fandom. And that toxicity usually rear it head when the medium under goes major change. Just look at Star Wars and Star Trek and comic. However, I do not think we should judged the community on the toxic few.

Things that bother me (and IMHO show lack of 3.75 inch line support by Hasbro staff):
- reluctance to answer the questions about 3.75 inch line during conventions
- instagram campaign that urged fans to ask questions had about one third of questions specifically asking about 3.75 inch line. Vast majority very polite. Everything was ignored. Everything.
- online poll was heavily skewed towards 6 inch line, it even did not give any option to show them that we prefer 3.75 inch line.
- lackluster effort on some of the last 3.75 inch line products. Prime example being Rainbow Deadpool pack - that is just insultingly lazy product.
- poor character selection for movie lines - ie. we did not get main protagonist for majority of movies - Ghost, Thanos, Killmonger, Hela, Ego, Kaecilius, Yellowjacket, Ronan, MAlekith, Mandarin/Killian all missing.
- double standards regarding both lines - 3.75 inch Ghost Rider without his iconic motorbike ("we did not find any way how to do it, sorry") in contrast to 6 inch Black Widow with (IMHO totally unnecessary) motorbike.

edit: one more thing:
- introduction of several new "just slightly incompatible scale" lines for kids - all those 4.5 and 5 inch scale lines that could wery well have been just a little bit smaller and thus compatible with our line, giving us at least something to collect...

I joined here in 2015. I joined AFI in 2010. They had 2 threads back then: Ask Mattel and Ask Hasbro. Mattel was still responding to questions, but not for long. Hasbro had already abandoned their thread and did not even read it anymore.

Mattel did the same thing with lines like Green Lantern and Young Justice.

look at it this way, without those lines we wouldn't have gotten ruffalo hulk, hulkbuster and now thanos that are proper scale.

True of this and many other BaF figures, BUT, what good does it do if there are no figures for them to properly scale with?

Guys Thanos is 6'7 unless his movie look is what you're looking for. I would rather stick with the comic version. The real Thanos that is. And it is true the build a figs are to small, unless used with the MU line.

DC gave another toy company its big global toy license (while letting Mattel keep a small license to continue making small pre-school DC figures). Marvel can do the same for its 2020 license. Mattel can get a small license (again) to do small Marvel 3.75 figures with its employee. Dave Vonner. In fact, they already have a small Marvel license for its little Hot Wheels.

Perhaps all our questions should be directed more towards Jesse Falcon who may decide this by 2020. I asked Boognice awhile back and he told me his buddy was doing an interview with Jesse. Sometime on or after Toy Fair we may see an answer. Till then, if your going to Toy Fair or conventions, ask Jesse Falcon if another company can have a smaller license to concentrate on 3.75 figures by 2020.
