https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...36d91f1c_b.jpg I finally came across the NECA Frankenstein's monster at a Walmart last night. I'd never seen either version before except for in a flea market where they were up-charging, it was getting a bit frustrating because of the Universal monsters so far this was the only one I actually wanted but I've been seeing the other two at Targets for a while now (especially since the Haulathon event). The store only had the black and white version, I would have been happy with either but I'm glad they only had one because otherwise I might have become stumped trying to decide between them. Anyway the figure looks fantastic, they nailed Karloff's likeness with all three heads and the paint (though monochromatic) is cleanly applied. I'd also say he physically handles well, sometimes NECA can be washy on this area. Really my only gripe is the small offering of accessories given the ultimate price tag, I know there wasn't much else that could have been included without bumping the price but he still feels light just having the shackles and daisies. |

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...6492ca99_b.jpg Found the first assortment of Transformers Legacy at Walmart so I got Blaster. The plastic-free packaging still threw me off even though I was aware of that going back to the line's reveal, it's going to take some getting used to. Blaster turns into his classic boombox radio without much hassle and he includes Eject who fits nicely into his cassette-tray. I don't think I'd consider Eject or Rewind to be as cool as Steeljaw or Ramhorn but that's probably so Hasbro can sell those later separately. Eject is still a great inclusion though, especially when in comparison the Siege Soundwave didn't come with any of his cassettes. Hasbro has been doing Transformers some great service these past few years so it's not surprising that Blaster is another solid score for the G1 roster. |

With all of the register lock stories on these figures due to their street date, I was prepared for this pic to be a "Look At What I Passed Up" post but surprisingly enough both figures cleared the check-out without issue.
