"Fans" go to these events all the time. Pretty much anyone can get media credentials if they're associated with a website. It's really not that hard. You can read all about it below.

I return you all to your arguing. :)

Same. No interest in that un-articulated lump of plastic, but I'd like one of those heads. I really enjoyed the movie and I thought it'd be just ok, but I was riveted from start to finish. I even pre-orderd the Bluray and I haven't bought a movie on physical media in ages. (Not counting Marvel movies, I try to snag all of those. I'm just missing the last two Thors which I have digital copies of, but I want the actual discs.)

Jay West 02-21-2019 04:45 PM

That’s a cool Miles. I’ll buy it just for the figure. That should have been the toy line for Spider verse.

I do not meet any of those criteria, nor do I wish to invest the effort in doing so. For one thing, it would take time away from my customizing. I know about SDCC and this is the event I would be most likely to try and attend, but Toyfair was the event at the moment which was why I pulled it up.

Completely understandable and I happen to agree with you. Was just pointing out there's no actual barriers to keep people out of these things if they choose to put in the effort to try and attend. Me, I'm not keen on doing free advertising for corporations that have giant media departments at their disposal so I've no interest in attending ToyFair regardless.

But you should definitely hit up a convention or two if you can! I'm on the wrong coast for SDCC but I'd like to go at least once just for the experience. Conventions can be a lot of fun.

and I'm 'stuck in the middle' and too far south.

Dude, the things I’d do for a 3.75” Spider-Ham.

Foreddyn 02-21-2019 10:52 PM

So basically we get a movie Venom figure that's too short and a movie Miles figure that's too tall. And that the 5" figure line still continues.

Come on man!

Eh, now you are making up quotes? :) If you read my previous post again, I asked if anybody is friends with one of people who are getting invited at this kind of events, and ask him if he would be so nice as to represent us over there. Simple as that.

Il Cattivo 02-22-2019 12:48 AM

you mentioned youtubers like shartimus. I doubt they care. they aren't/weren't really true mu collectors.

hasbroherofan 02-22-2019 02:25 AM

Is there anyone on Youtube who primarily covers the 3.75 inch stuff?

SDCC and maybe D23 are the next opportunities to ask. You can still ask the same question with Dwight (and get the same non-answer). Yet its Jesse Falcon at Marvel who has much more say and power than Dwight. However its also Jesse who birthed 6 inch Legends.

So instead of asking Jesse to cut money from his brilliant creation; its time we ask something different. McFarlane made news announcing Mattel's DC global license is being split. Thus, can Marvel 2020 license be split? Can another company do MU 3.75 toys? Instead of asking the same question with Dwight, maybe we could and should question Jesse and Mattel. Anyone heading to SDCC or the easier to attend D23?

If a petition to resurrect G.I.Joe 3.75 via Mark Weber can be done, can we do a similar petition to "Resurrect Marvel Universe 3.75" via Dave Vonner? It can coincide with the new Avengers film when our heroes too gets resurrected. Mattel already hired thee maker of our beloved 3.75 line. And, got a small Marvel license for its tiny Hot Wheels.

DC just set a precedent by proving the strikingly similar Marvel 2020 license, can be split. Though an earlier post is absolutely right, Shartimus is a huge 6 inch fan, he still has big love for Vonner. A half-million followers of Shartimus can really help a new "Mattel version" of a petition he already began,

kostej 02-22-2019 06:55 AM

Before starting any petition we should find out what the real situation is. 3.75inch line looks like dead but so far there was no official cancellation notice from Hasbro. It is possible that there are plans for this scale for 2020 or later. One of local forum members (Snowflakian? I am sorry but I do not remember who was it) sometimes writes posts about Hasbro strategy regarding the line, maybe he has some more recent info?

Super Joe 02-22-2019 06:57 AM

Bobby Vala who worked on the Marvel brand said on "Just Another Joe Show" that the Gamerverse were indeed the last and final 3.75 figures.

Foreddyn 02-22-2019 08:42 AM

HIATUS it is then. I'll be using the time to backtrack, mixing & matching other figures and brands.

It cannot. There is not enough time for a company to acquire the license and develop the property. From design to distributed takes 8 to 12 months, and that is after approval.

I'm trying to be, but getting traction is tough these days.

I meant to say a new petition can take place during the movie. It definitely takes time till we see designs. Yet hopefully it'll be just a year hiatus till prototypes are public.

Remember E.T.? Nobody picked up the license and the movie was huge, everyone wanted merchandise but it took them 10 months to get it out, and they were pushing, but by that time the fire was out and the merch died on the pegs. Toymakers will not hesitate to pull that one out to defend NOT bidding on a license.

Well, here's my latest video, which is on an MU!

https://youtu.be/vL094XXAOg8

Don't worry, I've got two coming out in March, since I needed an extra month to film advance footage for about 7 videos(some required more than others)so I could maintain production through my move, plus January always being my off month to get ahead time for longer videos.
