Is Lanard still putting out that C.O.R.P.S. line? I know their vehicles scale with the 3.75 Marvel stuff.

The TRU line got rebranded and showed up at Target.

Which is funny. Because those were scaled directly to work with GI Joe, as the precursor line to the MU line in building up market. Is one of the reasons I keep that hulk in my collection. Same with the cockpit opening Iron Monger. It was built with 1:18th in mind, but then never got around to releasing that as a two pack with one of the IM2 figures of the MKIII.

1:18th is on a mild rest right now. But one of the major reasons Hasbro original got the Marvel license was for that. So it will make a better return later.

Yup they still are. And at decent prices.
Should be seeing more getting made there too. They should have some new assortment announcements soon, it's nearing that time of year. Though theirs are almost a year to a year and a half wave shelf life. Sometimes 2 years.

Great custom ideas, Jackieboy!

i agree, the Incredible Hulk movie line from 2008 had some great scaled Hulks and JOE figures to boot. The related video game series from the same line also had some nice additions like BiBeasts, comic green/gray Hulks, & even IronClad.

i still use Norton Banner in my collection...

I like the Quonset hut. TOPGUN's hanger has a similar shape. I always thought such a toy can easily double as an action figure case just like Kenner's Vader case,

Mig-21s for a Top Gun line and G.I.Joe's own Oktober Guard. Hasbro loves repaints. Here's nearly 30 repaints off just 1 jet. Same exact jet at the staircase in the TOPGUN hanger. If Snake Eyes' movie is in the 80s (like Bumblebee's) then some of these are perfect. The Marvel Comics story of his being a Vietnam vet, can also go well with that earlier era's Mig-21s as well,

great work on your banner, which body are you using???
thanks for the feedback, but really they are just some quick and easy alterations people can mess with.they could have absolutely killed it if they had just upped the articulation on all those movie and game figures.

a toystore across my town has some of the WPK line.seen some of the vehicles, the detail on those vehicles are leagues above the corps line.
didnt see any of the robot WPK line though.would be interested in that if it showed up.i hope this weber guy get joe back in the limelight because i was enjoying mixing them up with my MU,some are highly compitable as you can see by many collectors customs on this thread.

Simple but effective custom ideas nonetheless, Jackieboy!

Torso & upper arms: Duke (version 26)
Legs & feet: Cobra Commander (Rise of Cobra)
Lower arms: Zartan (Rise of Cobra)

And I agree with you, the Incredible Hulk movie & game line had much potential. I would have liked the rest of the UFoes, Wendigo, Zzzax, or other related characters. Having Norton, Roth, & army building Hulkbuster figures, however, was a nice bonus for the line.

nice work, those joes are a godsend for customs, likewise it would have been nice to see a complete ufoe setup and perhaps a Glob.am i right in saying that they made more than one norton banner?was there another with a baseball cap?

hasbroherofan 03-06-2019 04:50 PM

Is there any reason to actually entertain the idea of Hasbro making Top Gun toys? I'm sorta lost.

i was wondering the same but i think GI joe fans want the line back and with the MU gang on board with a petition could potentially see these guys push for bringing back marvel in the long run.should hit up the transformers guys seeing as they had some crossover comics, dont think marvel did a GI Joe crossover?or did they?the howling commandos ever wreak havok on cobra commander?lol

Also, from that Hulk movie line, Blonsky and the other SHIELD Troopers were repainted Joe figures with new headsculpts and the SHIELD Humvee was a Joe repaint.

JOEs have always been great to customize, starting with the original ARAH O-Ring figures. Plus they were equally well articulated.
But combining the line with MU was icing on the cake in terms of custom potential and creating more Marvel characters.

Well a lot of the Joes personalities came from Characters that Hama pitches to Marvel pre shield called Fury Force. I collect MU and Joes and Shield and G.I. Joe team up quite a bit on my dios. Cobra and Hydra also have as good a working relationship as two different terroir organizations can.

Jackieboy 03-07-2019 02:41 PM

thanks sender, ive some more customs in the pipeline.
you are right creator, depending on who is drawing him,i like some of the monster hulk variations from the ultimate universe.but in fairness some of the MU hulks do hold true to scale according to classic renditions.
i just feel the likes of WWH should be around IH toy lines scale.
so i think we will be seeing another Fin fang foom being released before the end of 2019.wonder if its the red version they showed at SDCC a few years back?

its a pity the 2 companies never did a crossover.i use joe ninjas for my hand enclave and shadowland army and found some excellent uses for others which ill show here in time.

That's a KICK@$$ league of great looking Hulks, Creator!

Your signature paintwork really brings the best of both the figure and the comic character.
